Chris –
Just got these today to replace the S350DB, which apparently suffers from a common defect that I experienced (constant high-pitched squealing noise, even when no input plugged in… Lots of people complaining about it on the interwebs). No squealing on this one right out of the box, so that’s a good start. Tested them out a bit, and boy so they sound amazing. I expected perfection, and these 2.1 speakers deliver; both in form and function. Curious to see if there’s any kind of break-in period with a noticeable difference in quality.

Purchased for new Tv. Looked at and research sound bars. For the price and audio fidelity this cant beat. Everything just sounds so natural. Love it for movies, shows and music.

Speakers are some of the most amazing I have ever used! I am very impressed with sound quality and the remote is so useful for when guest are over!

I upgraded from a pair of Bose Companion 20 for my computer, not because they weren’t good, they’re very good. I’m just a sound snob and wanted more bass(Bluetooth is s big plus). This system does not disappoint and can easily be used for a TV setup. The sound is crisp, rich and the bass definitely thumps. For me it was definitely worth the extra expense. The remote is easy to use. The only negatives are,I have to manually connect to Bluetooth, it’s not automatic(which may be case specific to my iMac), and there are no speaker covers, both are not a dealbreaker for me.

I absolutely love these speakers. They have full sound and are worth every penny. Great build quality and they are not light. Highly recommended if your looking for a real upgrade.

Sounds okay at low to mid levels. The sub will cut out at higher levels. No grills to cover the speakers at all. Remote is a horrible design. Decent mids/highs. Bass is clean but has no real power. If you like background music they’re okay, but if you like to rock out on occasion then don’t buy these. For the price they’re absolutely NOT worth it. I’d return but missed the return date.

Overall, the speakers are extremely well made. The controls for volume/bass/treble being directly on the main speaker literally is genius. I was so excited to try these out. Was a little disappointed that there wasn’t dust covers for either speaker or the subwoofer, but I overlooked it. I finally turned it on & has to double check to make sure I had turned the subwoofer on. I felt it with my hand and it was barely shaking. I read other reviews about this system about the lack of bass and unfortunately, I didn’t listen. For as big and heavy as the subwoofer is, it literally doesn’t deliver anywhere near the amount of bass it should. I ordered this to replace my Klipsch Promedia 2.1 because they were a better fit for my desk setup, but the Klipsch (2 speakers and 1 subwoofer)that was 1/3 of the cost of this Edifier, and the sub was 1/2 the size delivered 10x the bass. Save your money and buy the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 for under $140 and it delivers great quality sound. The speakers were nicely built, delivered great audio, but the subwoofer was an extreme disappointment. That and one of the speakers came slightly scuffed. I just can’t justify the price of this sound system. Returned it and got the Klipsch R-41PM speakers with the R-100SW 10” subwoofer and WOW what a game changer. For the $450 you’ll pay for this you can get better value.

Amazing sound. Worth the money. After a week, I can say the only shortcoming is it doesn’t quite go loud enough for me, but the quality of the sound makes up for that. Also, very easy to install. I would highly recommend these speakers.

Overall I really do like these speakers. They sound very clean, bright (not harsh) and balanced. As other reviewers have stated, if youre a basshead, this wont quench your thirst. If however, youre looking for a near-audiophile set of powered speakers, these will do perfectly. The APTX bluetooth sounds great and using the line input sounds really really good. Ive not tried the optical or coax input so I cant comment.
I would have given 5 stars except for two things:
1. I really wish they had a USB input. This would have been a nice addition for computer use.
2. They get plenty loud… but for $450 they should get really loud. 🙂
I do want to specifically mention the tweeters they chose for the 360 series, which changed from its predecessor the 350. They changed to Planar style tweeters, typically use din higher end speakers. Ive never had a set with this type of tweeter and was concerned it would sound like metal dome style tweeters. (typically titanium). I much prefer silk dome tweeters for their warmer sound. I admit I really do like these planar tweeters. They are crisp and tight without being harsh, probably my new fav.
Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and look forward to seeing and hearing how they break in.

Not worth $500. If you try a heavy bass only sound you will definitely hear some noises coming from the subwoofer. I thought it was mine only but I saw some comments about this online. It sounds nice but I wouldn’t pay more than 200-225 for it.
