  1. XSoundMixer

Bought this pair of speakers because of the full range EQ adjustments, along with (4) EQ presets available on the remote control. My goal was for 1-Receiver to drive sterio in (2) rooms; but; the 2nd room needed different EQ. This pair of speakers provided the necessary 2nd room EQ-Range, for excellent audio reproduction. I debated adding a subwoffer but the bass is fine as is. I used the line output jacks of my receiver to drive this pair of speakers, however; bluetooth and optical signals can also be used. My rule of thumb: Skimping on cost does not work for good audio. Always pay a little more, like I did on this, to ensure you get the quality you want.

  2. JKLA

Originally looking for an alternative to a sound bar, I purchased the Edifier S350DB. For the price, the setup, quality and sound were amazing, but my particular unit had a high-pitched “whine” when on standby or during quite moments of songs/movies.

Although hesitant to lose the sub. I decided to test the S2000mkiii. My first test was a side-by-side and I honestly thought I forgot to turn off the S350db. If you’re worried about low end, put those thoughts aside. The S2000mkiii will miss some of the super rumbly low end that you’d expect from a dedicated sub, but the overall cohesive sound make up for any lacking low end. Honestly, for my day to day (music, tv, movies), the S2000mkiii sound superior to any 2.1 I’ve owned. I have no desire to add a sub. Take your room setup and personal taste into consideration, but for the price, I haven’t found a better powered bookshelf speaker option.

  3. CM50

Good looking speakers with high quality audio & enough volume to fill any room size.

    Highly recommend these speakers!

  4. Stephatto

A substantial set of bookshelf speakers with a really lovely sound. While a bit on the heavy side, they’re easy to set up and operate. Great addition to my home office for use with my laptop or mobile device.

  5. Birdlars

I have used these now for a few days and have to say they are incredible. I have hooked them up to multiple sources to see how they work.

    A. Turntable via the supplied RCA cable: after adjusting the variable volume setting and finding the right sound field, they sounded great! Broke out some of my old vinyl and really enjoyed it.

    B. Bluetooth: hooked it up easily to my phone and played some online radio and multiple playlists from my music library. Again, once I set the correct variable sound level, it was easy and sounded really great.

    C. Portable AM/FM Radio via the supplied audio cable: listened to some over the air radio and sports talk shows. easily changed the sound field to “vocal” and found the right setting.

The supplied remote control is easy to learn and allows for quick changing between sources and sound fields. There are 4 different fields: Monitor, Dynamic, Classical, and Vocal. There are also settings on the back for Bass and Treble. Very easy to find the sound that fits your taste.

I am using these in my office (10 feet by 12 feet) on a small table. The sound is plenty loud and rich – really perfect for it. I also tried them in the family room and they are good, but not really intended for a party and such. I would get the bigger Edifier speakers if you’re throwing a party with loud music.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with these and can’t wait to use them every day!

  6. RECKER

These speakers are seriously impressive. Not only do they look good/quality/high end, they sound and FEEL just the same. The set up is SO simple (even I could do it!) and I just love that they look like they’re “meant to be” there. No need to compromise style for sound here!

It comes with a remote and all the cords you need but still looks clean. Definitely recommend!

  7. Johnny

Fantastic bookshelf speaker’s upon opening the box you will notice that speakers are beautifully constructed. The sound is fantastic awesome using Bluetooth mode or if you hardwire to a receiver .

  8. Pepster

I can’t believe the sound that comes out of these beautifully designed speakers. Set up is easy now the next thing is to get a Bluetooth phonograph and see what it does with Princes album! 🙂

  9. CoolDaddyO

I needed a pair of bookshelf speakers that didn’t sound like bookshelf speakers, and the Edifier S2000MKIII’s really fit the bill. I am very picky when it comes to sound quality, so my standards are pretty high. These speakers handled everything I threw at them with ease. From Bach to Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen to Soundgarden, Tony Bennett to Slayer, every low was satisfying and rumbling, every high was crystal clear. In fact, the bass is so fantastic, I don’t see a need to add a sub to this set-up at all. While I prefer a physical connection with either of the provided RCA or optical cables, there wasn’t any detectable drop in sound quality when using the Bluetooth connection.

These speakers are heavy – weighing in at over 20 pounds a piece, so make sure you’re placing them somewhere that can handle the weight. Set up is super-simple, the remote has great range and is easy to use, and the speakers themselves are pretty attractive. At just under $400, these speakers aren’t cheap, but they sound like cost $1000 or more. You are definitely getting your money’s worth here, and I expect to have these speakers for years to come. I highly recommend these speakers to anyone looking for small speakers with HUGE sound!

  10. SydneyG

Such great speakers! So glad I found these to play music and use them for my TV as well! Great functions to be able to change the settings for different uses. Look great and are pretty easy to use.

  11. jasonclarke1

These speakers not only have amazing sound quality, they are also super easy to set up! They were as easy to connect to my TV with the supplied speaker wires & cables as they were connecting to my phone via Bluetooth. A solid combo of sound and build quality makes these speakers a great buy for the price!

  12. ChristianAZ

From first picking these up, I was impressed — initially by the weight (they are solid!) next by the quality of the wood finish (it’s beautiful!!) and finally by the quality of sound. I had another pair of Edifier speakers that didn’t have Bluetooth. I am very happy these have Bluetooth, and they are easy to setup and use. I do wish they didn’t need the umbilical cord between the speakers, but that aside, these are great speakers for the money!

  13. DanC

Great speakers for the money. Paired with a nice tube pre-amp these perform way above their price point for vinyl playback.

  14. Avali

Sound is pure for it’s size, and Bluetooth is easy to use, no sound loss.

  15. Music

I was skeptical about ordering speakers without hearing them. After reading other’s reviews & listening to a comparison between the professional and the S2000MKIII speakers, I decided to take the risk as they could be returned. Not sorry! These speakers are great, I can blast them in my house, they sound great and my neighbors can’t hear them. The cord that connects the speakers was an issue for some buyers, me rather than paying $400.00 more to get the professional series in order not to have the cord was not something I wanted to do. I have guitars and an amp in my living room. It is a LIVING room, not a museum.

  16. TheManWhoBuysStuff

I can’t express just how much I love these speakers! In all honesty, I didn’t buy them to go with a really good TV set, but instead for my pc. But, they make my game play a lot more engaging and the music booms throughout the whole house if I want.

  17. Edmundo

When I bought this speakers there was literally no reviews, however…. all I can say it’s that the quality of the sound is mesmerizing, tru fidelity and the bass is gorgeous, I use this speakers for my digital piano through a MacBook Pro and again… best purchase ever. Don’t forget to buy the speaker towers!

  18. Clgcsi

Great sound quality for an all inclusive solution. Great imaging and multiple input options. Large speakers but work great on a desk.

  19. ChinaSucks

Bud quality A+. Sound is good but not great. The new klipsch powerd speakers. Have higher, and lower frequency reponse. So more fidelity. I feel like something is missing when listening. It is clear and using spdif has no hum or interference. Does not max volume at 100 but 50 so misleading. Still plenty loud. So is it good yes i like these speakers. But loving jazz and classical they feel anemic. If klipsch new speakers where around when i bought these id go with them. Ifnyou listen to pop, hiphop, rap, dub, techno. You’ll feel fine. If you not a audio snob youll love these.

  20. NotLoud

Really nice audio quality but not as loud as I would like. If LOUD is your thing these not ones for you.

  21. SeanBESTbuyElitePlus

$100 price increase in 1 month. What gives Best Buy?

  22. Luvmymusic

These speakers are beyond fantastic! They are crystal clear and it sounds like the performer is in the room with you! They are everthing all the 5 star reviews describe!!!

  23. Ross

Surprisingly great sounding monitors! especially for under $500.00
Clean sounding, no weird peaks or valleys, nice flat response. there are Bass and Treble controls if you feel the need to add or cut.
Remote control is handy, only complaint is the writing on the remote is a similar color as the button so It can be hard to read in low light.
I’d recommend buying the matching Edifier speaker stands as they have matching colors and are sturdy and clean looking.

    Great speakers for the money.

  24. Rohit

Not a great product – the sound was very flat and wouldn’t recommend this if you want great audio experience. They are probably ok to be computer speakers but don’t have much expectations beyond that. I returned the speakers within 1 day.

  25. DealHunter78

Raw studio quality sound without all the distracting fluff.

  26. ghostz

I appreciate good bass and a crisp high end in a speaker. These speakers deliver. They are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

  27. jcclemens

These speakers are great for there price. really glad I bought them.

  28. Lostkeyz

I have no idea how these get the ratings they do but I have never heard a more lifeless pair of speakers in my life. If you listen to music that’s nothing but bass then here you go. The insignia monitors have more life then these. Make sure you keep the receipt and listen to a lot of media before committing to these. Do not buy if you are listening to vinyl

  29. NancyHay

If you are into heavy metal (Metallica, Nirvana, Guns & Roses, etc) these are great. If you are more into Classic Rock (Moody Blues, Kansas, Oldies & Folk) these are definitely not the ticket. They are way too bass heavy and lose the clear highs of the violins & synthisizers. Also dont work for Classical Music as cant hear all instruments.

  30. MRXWEREWOLFX

These have been fantastic for watching movies, listening to music, and gaming at my desk. Tweak your preferences with the dials on the back and enjoy.

  31. JuanC

Packs a powerful punch, where you forget they are book shelf speakers. Came with with quality RCA cable. They weigh about 20lbs a piece. If you were building you system little by little this is great start due to it being amped and having a great base.

  32. Yaheya

These are good speakers for Bluetooth. But for vinyl not so much. I am looking to get rid of them.

  33. ThuDo

very good quality of clear voice and very warm bass

  34. Jess

I used this to replace my sony hts 350 soundbar+sub woofer and I have no complaints…excelent sound quality. Bass is nice and deep…theres a little bit of static when the volume is too high but if you have something playing you dont really hear it. Bass is nice, clear and deep. It vibrates and rumbles plenty even without subwoofers

  35. MrByte

First time owner of Edifier Bookshelf speaker, impressed by the clarity of sound, I’m not much a fan of Bass sound more into clarity of highs and Mids, so far this speaker impressed me in those two areas, my player is the Hi-Res player from SONY, playing mostly FLAC files from a USB drive. Placed in a living room for mostly playing music, at times watch a movie here and there. High quality built, heavy as it should be. One issues that I wish Edifier can clarify is…when speaker not in use for extended period, it does not automatically turn off nor goes into sleep mode. My sources are Optical and Line/1/2. The other issue is the speaker screen at this price point should be magnetic and not plastics pins pressed into rubber holes.
