DJI – RS 3 Combo 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer – Black $346.00 Save:$193.00(36%)
Description
  • Excellent weight-to-payload ratio
Weighing only 1.3 kg/2.8 lbs (including gimbal, battery grip, and quick-release plates), RS 3 can be held easily in one hand, while its 3kg/6.6lb load capacity is more than enough to support mainstream cameras
  • Automated axis locks
When the gimbal is off, press and hold the power button to unlock the axes while the gimbal expands automatically. Press the power button once, and the axes automatically lock and enter sleep mode. Press and hold the power button and it will fold and lock automatically.
  • Wireless shutter control
By implementing Dual Mode Bluetooth, RS 3 supports wireless shutter control. After the initial Bluetooth pairing, you can control video and photo shooting by simply pressing the record button on the stabilizer. Previously paired cameras can automatically reconnect.
  • 3rd-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm
Empowered by a next-gen stabilization algorithm, RS 3 provides significantly enhanced stability in any scenario. Laboratory sampling data shows RS 3 provides a 20% increase in stability over RSC 2.
  • Beyond smooth
When SuperSmooth mode is enabled, RS 3 increases motor torque to further enhance stabilization, delivering stable footage even in fast-moving scenarios or with 100mm-equivalent focal lenses.
  • Instant mode switching
By simply sliding the new gimbal mode switch, you can alternate between Pan follow, Pan and Tilt follow, and FPV modes. The FPV mode selection is also customizable to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom.
  • Monitoring via smartphone
RS 3 supports the Ronin Image Transmitter (previously known as the Ronin RavenEye Image Transmitter) to transmit 1080p/30fps HD live feeds directly to a mobile device.
  • 12-hour operating time + fast charging
The new battery grip provides an extended runtime of up to 12 hours, enough to handle continuous shooting throughout the day. It supports 18W PD fast charging with a charge time of just 2.5 hours.
  • All-new focus motor
The next-gen DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) provides torque three times stronger (up to 1 N·m) and noise is reduced by 50%. This delivers a smoother focusing experience and reduces the effect on audio recording.

  1. Brian

Just started using the gimbal, will update as I use it more.

Just want to let people (DJI) know that when changing from selfie mode back to normal, it will continue turning in the same direction as when it first entered selfie mode, meaning that any cables plugged into the camera will always get tangled. I personally don’t plan on using selfie mode since my face would be blocked by an external monitor anyway. However, the fact that this could happen accidentally is something that makes this lose a star until it is fixed in a firmware update.

  2. Kelderman55

I have been using DJI products for a little while now. This new gimbal seems to be an all around improvement on previous models. It’s quiet, smooth, and does the job. The automatic axis locks are great. Have not tried out the focus motor yet, but that is pretty tried and trued. If you’re looking for top quality products this is what you want. Built like a tank.

  3. Tasha

Very easy setup!! Easy handling. Feels very light weight compared to the older version.

  4. JRBPHOTOS

Easy to use. Lightweight. Durable. Its a game changer!

  5. JarrielB

Awesome gimbal, definitely worth it! Amongst its’ many features, it is great for beginners and up.

  6. Unknown

Awesome Gimbal but will not work on heavy camera bodies with lenses. Check the weight before buying. I made that mistake but otherwise, awesome gimbal.

  7. ZewarB

I purchased this item in store and just after couple days I was able to pick it up.

  8. Michael

The locking feature alone was enough for me to upgrade. Love this new revamp

  9. Excelent

is difficult. to put together. they need to put the manual clear. I have to return it

  10. Jbotness

Great product makes shooting action and cinema style shot attainable

  11. Motiontography

It’s definitely a step up from my Moza Air 2. It’s definitely lighter and has way more features. Few minor bugs but nothing is perfect.

  12. JPMiami

Everybody knows when you buy a DJI product you cannot be disappointed. I am using with my Sony AC7. At the beginning you need to do the adjustment, the balance, very important. The mini motor which move the zoom is very help full to do great video. I really enjoy using this RS 3. Do video without stable the time you move is so great.

  13. VictorO

Amazing product. I use it for all my videography gigs and it’s never failed me. That if I don’t forget to charge it. Lol

The DJI-RS 3 Combo is a good value and can handle our Canon R6 with a EF lens mount adaptor and our EF lenses. However, the gimbal is not intuitive to use and takes a bunch of learning via YouTube videos and practice to make smooth video. You can do it but do not buy this thinking that you will have smooth videos in a week or that weekend! It takes a bunch of practice both with the gimbal and using your body differently while moving.
