My new Denon Home 250 wireless speaker is paired with my 1st Home 250 as a stereo pair. The single speaker sounded very good, but the pair gives a much fuller sound. Together, for music, they rival both of my Denon AVR setups in other rooms. I have not been successful operating these thru Alexa, hence the 4 stars, but they are very easy to use with my phone and the HEOS app. I toned down the bass a bit, these speakers project a ton of it. I enjoy piano jazz trios with these speakers.

I purchased this speaker, or rather, a pair, for several specific reasons. I wanted speakers that were wireless. Another important criteria was speakers that could play in stereo. Finally, i wanted speakers that could act as Alexa hubs. When I purchased these speakers, the first two points were key factors in my going with Denon. The 250’s became my primary choice over the 150’s due to sound quality.
At the time of purchase, the speakers worked with Alexa, but were not hubs. There was minimal control. But the tools were in place to act as an Alexa hub, and one website said the feature was in development.
Finally this week, my vision came through. An update allows the speakers to act as Alexa hubs, allowing me to play my music without having to access the built-in Heos feature. Heos performed very well, but lacked the ease that Alexa allows. I also had issues getting the speakers to work in conjunction with and separately from the main pair of speakers.
One observation is that with the speakers paired, Alexa will play in both speakers when I say, “Alexa, play Led Zeppelin,” to one of the speakers. Very nice!
Now that I have the functionality I wanted, the value in these speakers has skyrocketed, at least for me.

Sounds okay. Robust sounds. Not the best not the worst speaker I’ve had. I bit pricey for what you get.

Very glitchy Hess connection was not tolerable returned the next day.

This speaker sounds amazing. The amount of sound and bass it puts out for its size is very impressive and I love that I can sync it with my other AirPlay devices. I would definitely buy this again and may even get another one
