  1. Scott

This speaker is everything you would expect from Denon. The HEOS app is amazing how you can run many speakers together or independently however you choose. Integrated my Spotify seamlessly and with Airplay it’s super easy. I am a bit disappointed in the bass compared to other speakers the same size but the overall clarity of the sound is great. Sounds much better with more than one and other HEOS speakers connected. No bridges, no amps, just plug in and it connects. HEOS is an awesome system.

  2. ConcordCool30

I love Denon sound systems and speakers but this one really lacked the punch I was looking for. It had very crisp highs but lacked the bass I love. I really wish Alexa was integrated but no biggie. The app has great functionality for music apps in one place. All in all Denon did a good job. Will get one more for office.

  3. CrysisComplex

This is such a powerful speaker that it blows my mind. That is my main takeaway from this whole experience with Denon’s Home 150. It sounds so amazing and can fill up a large room for the size that it is. The Bass within the speaker is extremely boomy and there is a TON of mordant features you are going to love.

The design of the speaker is really elegant and it doesn’t stand out too much or out of place. It will be nice to have multiple Home 150’s set up in the house like a kitchen or a hallway. Touch-sensitive buttons are cool and light up when you tap them. This is not a wireless portable speaker at all. Once you set it up it must be near a plug to always receive power., You can’t charge it up and take it with you there is no battery in here. On the back, there are also useful I/O. Ethernet port, USB 2.0 Port, AUX, Connect button, and a Bluetooth button. There are many ways to connect your music if need be which is great.

Setup was basically as easy as plugging it in. It basically works from there with the quick start guide. It really is a painless setup. if you don’t wanna go through the hassle of the HEOS app, many other features here you can use without the app like Bluetooth and AirPlay 2. The shining feature here would be AirPlay 2 with the Home 150 or any speaker from this series. You’re not just limited to some AirPlay speakers anymore and this is great; I’m happy that manufacturers are embracing AirPlay 2. It really does opens up the world of possibilities. I was able to connect my Bose SoundTouch 300, my Samsung TV, and Sonos Move to the Home 150 speakers. I have different brands connect to my iOS devices/iTunes was awesome. (Apple TV can connect to a multi-sound AirPlay 2 setup. Great for video apps.) Apple Music works fine.

The experience was a jaw-dropping sound that I could never imagine would be in my home. Everything was seamless with the volume connecting through airplay. Just my words mean anything I just want to say that Denon never disappointed me with sound before, this is no exception. but to have something this small, mighty, and dense with sound. I can’t rave about it enough. Bass I can’t stress enough that it’s strong, the sound is so clear and crisp. Oh, the best part here is that you can list to HI-FI MUSIC from Amazon Music HD, Deezer, and Tidal. The music streaming such high-quality, that I’ve heard a sound like this in a while and it’s quite enjoyable. This little speaker goes toe to toe with some even bigger and overpriced speakers which is why I love turning it on and using itit. Turning the speaker up to the max is completely unnecessary but it just sounds so good. It gives me that sound and bass I enjoy.

HEOS app that’s what you need to download from the App Store to be able to use even more features that the speaker provides. You must make an account to use any other services like Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Sirius XM, Pandora, and more. Yeah runs great and it’s intelligently designed so no issues there. You can access the USB and AUX remotely with the phone. For NAS users you can access your home music servers. PERFECT!

If you can possibly hook this up to more Denon speakers like the Home 350 or the Home 150, I promise you won’t regret a multispeaker setup with AirPlay 2. When it comes to sound I’m not disappointed at all this is definitely a five-star product, because it just worked perfectly for me. I just can’t get over how great it sounds when is connected to multiple speakers.

  4. MichaelM

So, I don’t use voice assistants, so I won’t be reviewing this feature, though I understand the Denon Home 150 works well with Alexa, Siri, etc. What I care about is sound. When I first connected to the Home 150 I was disappointed. The sound was muddy and definitely not what I was expecting from Denon. It wasn’t until I increased treble that the sound cleared up and…now I understand why Denon has such a good reputation. The sound from this small little speaker is phenomenal! It it crisp and full. It has enough volume to fill a 20′ by 25′ room quite well. With a room full of people you’re probably going to want to get the Home 250, or 350, though.
And I like the HEOS app. It makes it easy to select your sound source in one location. My only gripe is that I would like to see more options in the equalizer than just treble and bass.

  5. Mahtin

Quality looking speakers with a great sound and lots of flexibility to set it up by using the HEOS app. The on speaker controls are helpful and some can be customized. Pairing them up with the Apple ecosystem was easy. They cost a little bit more but you’re getting what you’ve paid for. Recommended.

  6. JKinSYR

The Denon Home 150 is a fantastic speaker that can push out some big sound with its compact form. The speaker has been a fantastic addition to my home and doesn’t take up much space on either a desk or shelf. I have been thoroughly impressed by its ability to play music clearly and crisply at any volume, and even at full volume.

The HEOS app on my iPhone works well and allows for a simple interface with many various music services like Pandora, Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Tidal, etc. I have been extremely impressed with Amazon Music HD and it’s ability to sound concert like on so many songs that I feel like the music is coming from a larger stereo setup.

The Denon Home 150 has a modern look and style to it that makes it stand apart from other similar type speakers. There aren’t any physical buttons present on here. Instead the buttons are touch buttons that light up when your hand approaches or hovers near the top of the speaker. When lit up you see a play/pause, volume up and down buttons. Also you see a row of 1,2,3 buttons and these can be programmed to your favorite selections of music, or artist from your preferred music service. The nice thing about this feature is that your phone does not need to be used to do this. The HEOS app will connect to your 2.4g or 5g home wifi and always be able to play music without a phone present. Certainly you can always pair your phone with Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, and also via an AUX line as well.

Phenomenal sound from a compact form. I will recommend this speaker and will guess that you’ll also enjoy it as much as I have been in my home.

Unboxing & Set Up – on unboxing the Denon Home 150 the first thing I noticed was that it’s more substantial than other wireless speakers I’ve purchased. It’s a very modern and minimalistic design with the cool preset quick select buttons on the top of the unit. In the box is the speaker, power cord and quick start guide. It’s pretty straight forward, download the HEOS app, plug in and power up the unit and configure the speaker. There was a software update that ran and then the 150 was ready to use. I used my Sirius XM account to stream directly through the speaker as well as through the HEOS app. All in it took about 10 minutes to unbox and setup.

Performance – I don’t consider myself an audiophile, but you don’t need to be to hear the quality of this speaker. Right out of the box the depth of the music is evident, but with the HEOS app, sound settings can be adjusted depending on where the speaker is placed in the room and there’s an EQ adjustment for bass and treble settings. As the 150 packs a 1” tweeter and a 3 ½” woofer into a ported enclosure the sound is like no other wireless/BT speaker of its size. I use a Home 350 in our living room which is 14” x 24” space with vaulted ceilings and this speaker fills the room with no problems. This Home 150 is paired to the 350 in a small office off the living room. With this connected setup, the Denon speakers fill the entire area with music of my choice. What’s great about this Denon system and the HEOS app is multiple Denon speakers can be run in different rooms to create whole-home music or mixing up with different music in each room…all from the app.

HEOS App – I’ve used a few different apps and the HEOS app is right up there with the best available. The app provides total control and setup of the speakers and the music services of choice. The speaker can be connected directly through, say Sirius, via AirPlay 2 or BT, but it was convenient to have multiple streaming services under one app. As mentioned previously, the HEOS app also provides a number of controls to adjust the sound and functions on the speaker like the 3 preset quick select buttons and the length and brightness of the control light. Very cool and easy to use. When pairing multiple speakers, it’s as easy as dragging and dropping to create a group or ungroup.

    Pros:
    – Sound quality, sound quality, sound quality…enough said!
    – Ability to connect multiple Denon speakers in a room or across your home, office, etc.
    – Multiple programmable pre-set buttons on the speaker, no phone needed to play music
    – Great build quality and modern, minimalistic design including touch panel on top of unit
    – HEOS App – provides great controls for single or multiple speakers, adjusting sound, etc.

    Cons:
    – HEOS App – (yes a pro & a con) is not super intuitive or user friendly, but seems to be getting better with each update. You need to muddle around to find what you need.

All-in-all the Denon Home 150 is an amazing sounding and well-designed and built wireless speaker that should be considered for anyone looking for high-end music output and easy wireless use. You will not be disappointed with the Denon Home 150!

  8. ShaunOrlando

I have had this for a few weeks and specifically got to use outside next to the pool. It sounds great, is definitely loud, and looks sleek. I have an Android phone and after a quick download of the HEOS app from the play store I was connected and going.

I use primarily Amazon Music and it worked without an issue. I didn’t see anywhere in the instructions how to assign the favorites. Adding a station from the HEOS app to a favorite DID NOT assign to the favorite button on the actual speaker. After I started playing the station I wanted I just had to hold the favorite number down on the speaker I wanted it assigned to and after about 3 seconds the blue light on the front flashed a couple times and it was assigned.

This was a major feature for me I wanted in this speaker. I didn’t want to have to find my phone to play a few of my favorite stations from Amazon Music. I have 3 of the most played stations now assigned for both myself and the kids to easily play music now while outside enjoying the pool.

Overall I have been very happy with the look and quality of the speaker. The only gripe is that it only has the ability for 3 favorites but other than that I am very happy. It has the ability to play music also from a USB but I haven’t tried or needed that. With so many music streaming options I don’t see a need for that but it is there if you want it. It also has a place on the back if you choose to mount it on a wall as well.

  9. TechReviews

As a long time home theater dealer of high-end home audio electronics, I’ve long admired the Denon Electronics and Marantz brands for their feature sets, continuously pushing the envelope of cutting edge technology, as well as their sonic warmth and smoothness compared to other brands too shrill and sterile for my tastes.

As a stand-alone sound system this Home 150 (solo) provides super easy access to multiple streaming music sources, with or without using the mobile app.

Where this product truly shines in my humble opinion is integrated as a whole house audio system. This can be accomplished multiple ways.

First by simply adding Denon speakers and HEOS devices wherever audio is desired. They can play independence streaming sources, left right channels as a stereo pair, or synchronize with whole house HEOS.

Another is utilizing a Denon/Marantz home AVR audio video receiver with HEOS built-in. This adds another benefit of being able to use other audio sources from a living room or theater like TV, movies, talk shows. Etc.

Our living room system is a mid-level Denon AVR-4400H AVR (2017) feeding a Control 4 distribution amp to power deck speakers, additional basement room, and living room 5.2.4 system. This Home 150 let’s is add another indoor/outdoor/garage zone wirelessly wherever there is power. Incredibly Versatile. I also found usage augmenting a modest pair of Klipsch 6.5 deck speakers, entirely eliminating the mud adding clarity to vocals and mid-range.

Side note: While the kids seemingly prefer selecting a specific song or set playlist to match their mood, or massive whole library shuffle, I consider myself an old school lean, much preferring the provider to curate like-songs together. This allows greater variety and long forgotten songs to find my ears not manually added to my library.

While HEOS offers many sources, I find myself listening to Sirius XM satellite radio far more often than anything else. In fact, traditional DJs, sans advertising, adding factoids and insight every other song block really adds to the listening experience imho.

Beware, Denon 150 / 350 Home speakers will add dimension and usability all around your house. More music, everywhere, … that’s a very good thing!

    PROS
    + ease of usability
    + diverse feature set
    + acoustic self-calibration
+ well thought out solid design
    + sufficiently lengthy power cable
+ surprising bass extension for small spk

+ can play individual sources, or drag to zone
+ variable volumes for each audio zone
+ phone-free usage, with touch buttons
+ proximity sensor illuminates touch display
+ boundary compensation in -app device setup

    CONS
-I’m unable to find anywhere this product falls short
-if challenged individual pricing skews high comparably
-maybe a truly wireless battery-powered version?
-now I want stereo 150s and a pair of 350s too

    CONCLUSION
If you enjoy audio, and benefit from portability, (or even set it and forget it) in various rooms, there’s no easier way to whole-house audio than adding these speakers. No sheetrock dust, attic insulation, complicated control schemes to deal with; truly plug-n-play, and voila, whole-house audio.

    Recommend Strong Buy 5-star

  10. LesM

Sound is really good even at low volume. The option for so many different sound sources is really good. I like being able to stream my Sirius XM radio through the soaker using WiFi

  11. JoeV

Works great. Great sound. Fairly easy to set up. Nice appearance.

  12. Jmoore2779

I love these little speakers, they fill my 800sqft addition effortlessly

  13. PKFN2112

Have enjoyed using this device and it works great!

  14. Dliked1

I have purchase nine Heos built in devices. The sound from each of these speakers is really good. I took off one star because the Heos App could use some work. There has been a problem with voice activation with my Alexa devices. I will say that customer service is very responsive. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.

  15. snugthejoiner

Great-sounding speaker. I’ve had some issues with connecting via Heos but I believe that has more to do with the Heos app which seems to be a little iffy.

  16. PJS3

Small, powerful and very easy to use and setup! Great purchase!

  17. Larz

Love our speaker. Bought one to try it and now we are looking to add a few more to provide sound and music throughout our home.

  18. Klmnoah4

Get a pair for stereo, no regrets, sound is excellent,

  19. JoeCyclone

Denon and Heos always make a quality product. Great sound quality!

  20. David

excellent sound and great compatibility with my Heos system!

  21. Soundguy

Sounds great hook up to my Denon receiver was seamless. Can also be used stand alone with Bluetooth

  22. Willy

It’s important to judge this product by its price point. With that in mind, I am very happy with the sound. the magnificent and harmonious set of a wonderful audio. Its pure and crystalline sound with the most current standards is part of Music DNA.
The HEOS App for IOS is perfect for all its functions. Product capability with Alexa are very poor only drawback. Being able to have the same ambience throughout the house is very cool function.

  23. AZ22

Works well with my other HEOS speakers. Good sound. A little pricey and I wish they had a battery powered option so that can use them outside without a long extension cord.

  24. Wires

Great purchase, works well with my receiver. I am probably going to get a few more!!

  25. RSHUTCH

Not overly impressed. Flat. Very flat. Far from crisp. Not what i expected from Denon. Returned.

  26. Horseshoe

Simple set up and great sound for their size. I would recommend.

  27. Jason

This is a great little speaker. It sounds amazing with great highs and base. The style is also way better than most other speakers this size. Highly recommend.

  28. Ramsey

Great sound. Easy to set up. Very satisfied with the experience and product.

  29. Luke

Sound is superb, cannot figure out how so much bass cones out of such a small unit. Integrated easily with my HEOS whole home setup. Bravo Denon.

  30. Markk100

Incredible. Great sound, beautiful to look at. Ease of use is a plus

  31. Gill

Great sound and easy set up but can not connect to my Denon Avr 3700.

  32. Raymond

Excellent wireless speaker works great with the HEOS app. Can be pair with any equipment that has the HEOS app and no echo if the speakers are in different rooms.

  33. hoop

This speaker sounds great but the reliability of the hardware is pretty poor. I purchased this for playing music in our kitchen. It works ok until you use the microwave. It typically causes the speaker to drop out of the assigned group or a hardware fault (flashing red LED). The only reliable way to recover from a microwave induced failure is to unplug speaker and then reassign it and restart music which takes 5 minutes or so. Just in case you are wondering, microwave is 15 feet from speaker and the speaker is connected to the 5Ghz band. I own numerous Denon products but this one is a dud. Save yourself a lot of trouble and get a Sonos since it works flawlessly in our kitchen. The Denon HEOS app is a hot mess as well. Denon tech support has been pretty useless, they aren’t even responding to my emails.

  34. Swivels

Good sound quality for its size. I use it alone or with a Denon AVR. It can extend Tv sound using BT by paring to TV. How can I access AVR with the 150 when sound source is TV(eARC)?

  35. Bose

Great speakers, works well with Denon AV receiver, can play different music on different speakers in different areas in the house.

  36. Denon

high quality and convenient as they can be moved if needed. shipped quickly and well.

  37. SSSS

I now own and use ten of Denon’s HEOS/Home series of wireless speakers. The newest versions are these Home 150 models and they are by far the easiest to set up and use.

They also have “buttons” on the top panel that makes it easy to have up to three presets assigned. So far I haven’t the need but when I do it looks to be quite easy to do so.

These 150s can be used individually or as a stereo pair. It is also now possible to assign different models in the Home series (i.e., 150, 250 and 350) as stereo pairs. And it is EASY!

Denon’s Application is very easy to use. I have it on iPhones, Android phones, iPads and an Amazon Tablet and it works superbly across those devices. My HEOS system allows me to play music from my Pandora, SiriusXM and Amazon Music UHD accounts with ease and I can send that music to my speakers or different services to different speakers. I can even wireless send my CD players music (a new Onkyo 6 disc player I bought here at BB!) or even my records!

Yup! I can send the output of my turntable to any speaker or speakers in our home, wirelessly. Denon’s Home 150 speakers and their HEOS system is without a doubt the best I have experienced. I have given Denon and HEOS/Home 150s to my older brother and his wonderful wife. It really is easy and the sound is superb! And unlike some companies, to date all of Denon’s HEOS speakers are backward COMPATIBLE for use with the newer Home series of speakers. Denon is my choice in home entertainment!

The new Home 150s are now a part of our home system and my brother and his wife’s too! Trust me on this. I know what I’m doin’ when I’m reviewin’.

  38. glaney

Love it! Perfect great sound easy to install. Big sound for a good price. Completed my home theater. Highly recommend

  39. CharlesY

Amazing richness for the price. Works best on wifi, compared to bluetooth. Not battery operated.

  40. MarcoM

in house chill music hook with you projector screen tv

  41. Temi

I love these speakers . The HEOS app is a superb ecosystem that integrates devices effortlessly. I have the Sonos and Bose systems in my home and they each bring their unique features with them. Denon 150 does an incredible job with soumd quality , ease of use and adds class and quality built to my sound systems . Strongly recommended

  42. Phil

This speaker has an excellent connectivity and sound. I realized that better when I compared with other good sound system that I have. Said that, getting a pair of this would be the best scenario. It sounds better when paired with another one.

  43. ALfromNY

I love these speakers. They were very easy to set up and the HEOS app can be used to access a large variety of music sources.
I actually wound up buying acsecond set of these, even though I do not have any particular place I want to put them. Just thinking for the future.

  44. JeffP

Excellent speaker with incredible sound. I replaced my JBL charge 4 with this Denon Home150 and there is no comparison. Yes, the Denon has to be plugged in but that is the only advantage the JBL has. Even at full volume the Denon has no distortion.

  45. Sonisung

While they were on clearance, I started out with purchasing one speaker to see how much I’d like the sound at home. Well, I went back and prchased 3 more. The sound is amazingly crisp and strong. I have all of them paired and 2 of them paired as stereo so the app controls it as 3 speakers and they work seemlessly together via the Heos app. I give it Four stars because the bass begins to drop off around 80% volume, which I believe is due to the type of magnet used. Regardless, I would buy more if I could.

  46. Cabinet

Small enough to add to any area. Great sound quality. Bluetooth, so no wires everywhere.

  47. BK1377

I bought a pair of these to use in my office basically because it would be too big of a production to run hard wires from my receiver (a Marantz NR1200). When these work, they sound great for the room. I have a set up where I have physical media sources (turntable, cassette deck and cd player) connected to receiver as well. The physical media sources constantly cut in and out on the speakers but streaming to the receiver works fine. Very odd and I can’t figure it out. The HEOS app is fairly wonky too. It’s not intuitive but I’ve figured it out. The big problem is one speaker will disconnect randomly, the speakers will unpair and the receiver will unpair from the receiver. Then I have to set up the room again. Usually that involves a bunch of resetting, unplugging and on/off until I can get it back to the way it should be. Very frustrating. I would say if you are buying one and just intend to stream to it, it’s probably great. My setup has been a constant struggle.

  48. toaster

I have a pair of these Denon 150 Home speakers configured into stereo. They rival my music stereo system, which is complete with a subwoofer. I play my Spotify through the Home speakers. My turntable uses the other.

  49. IntrinsicIR

Speakers were great trust me these thangs bumped but couldn’t get over the fact to however I connected them audio would lag horrible I would see lip movements and then hear sound 5 secs later tried on multiple devices Sony A8H and Alienware m17 and had issues with both.

  50. MehmetK

Sound quality is very good. I am not happy with sounds delay with
