Excellent choice for Atmos-centered entertainment system. I did buy the additional coverage, I am a bit concerned about the reliabilty.
AlexV –
its a good unit but I had a onkyo receiver before and the streaming option in it was so much better, this one is so limited and not easy to use everything else is good

Like this AVR so far. Took a while to find the setting to prevent the AVR from turning on every time we turned on the TV, but now it works just the way I want it to. It’s difficult to figure out the differences between the various Denon models, as the differences are typically minor from model to model, and even Denon tech support struggled with that question. But I selected this model as it seems to have everything that I need, and I’ve been happy with it.

Very compact… Fits on normal bookshelf cabinet. Lots of Inputs. App makes set up easy.

This is a very highly featured Home Theatre Receiver. Off the top of my head, I can think of any missing features. It works just fine. The only negative I can see is when switching channels on a source STB (eg: Directv STB), there can be latency / blank screen – I suspect as the Denon tries to navigate a different source resolution …like maybe 720P to 1080i ? To be clear, this is NOT the Denon switching inputs – this is the input source simply changing channels. Perhaps there is a way to fix this – I will dig deeper. The user manual is pretty amazing,…although I think the overdid the redundancy a bit much.

An amazing AVR with plenty of power to drive my 7.1 channels with KEF speakers. Love the price point and the features as I have five AVRs around the house and this is tops with my Marantz. Value it would beat the Marantz but of course has less features but not needed.

Really great sound. Easy to set up. Multichannel is easy to set up. The on screen display on the tv for easy use and set up…
Bear –
The sound produced by this receiver is a bright, crisp with plenty of responce. Paired with a good set of speakers, the sound is fantastic. As good as more expensive brands.

This is a great unit! 10/10 would definitely buy again!

This is an excellent receiver for the price. I try to find a middle ground with good quality and decent price and this one is it. Dolby Atmos sound fantastic.
Kenneth –
One new feature I like is when you turn on the television the stereo comes on too.

I only kept this for a few days before returning, I got a better deal elsewhere, but it worked great! It was pretty pricey for what it is but if you have $600 you are itching to throw away this I’d perfect! In all seriousness though it’s a great product.

Oh, this Denon receiver replaced my old Pioneer I bought way back in 1991. I thought I had the best until I programmed this Denon receiver and kicked back to listen to music and just went WOW, I’m in Heaven.
DustyD –
This receiver has completely met my expectations. It’s brand, overall features, 7.2 surround, Bluetooth connectivity, and power specs were what made this receiver perfect for my application at home.

This isn’t my first Denon receiver; I also own a AVR-X4400h. Even though this was considerably cheaper than what I paid 5 years ago for my other receiver, this does great paired with a 5.1 Jamo system in the bedroom. The value given it’s performance is well worth it and I won’ wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone else.
AmyL –
Receiver the best I’ve ever owned Denon I I love it
AbhinavG –
Works very well with the entire home theater set up.
PaulS –
The receiver works great and the sound is amazing. I would recommend this unit to your home theater system.
Margus –
Denon makes great products , this avr has a lot of power, i have 2 pairs of klipsch aw-650
On it and they get really loud and little to no distortion, planning an adding a subwoofer to this avr.
PeterB –
Have not had a chance to really delve into it all. But it was on sale, so that was 100 bucks off.
Dave –
Sounds great, excellent purchase, great customer service
RobertR –
Easy setup and over all good sound. Fine tuning sounds could use a little more instructions.
TerryB –
Excellent product. With Total Tech it was very easy to the receiver evaluated.
I love Best Buy
PrasadJ –

Marc –
Amazing amplifier. Once connected easy set up. Alignment of the speakers was went so smoothly. Can’t wait for the 49ers games with awesome sound!!
DarthVR –
Worked well for 4 months then started to notice problems with hdmi control not working and eventually it stopped all together. Unit was sent in twice and they found no problem but also they didnt have a way to recreate it simce they didnt have a ps5 and apple 4k tv to test the issue . a tech was sent on site to see the problem and confirmed cec was the issue. Local store had fantastic customer service and my total tech kicked in. Read online this is a common issue with this unit . Make sure you get warranty if you decide to get this unit .
Larisam14 –
Overall great receiver.! It was somewhat difficult for me to use at the beginning. Overall give great power to my speakers. ( still need to learn how to connect with alexa)
JJKOHLS –
Bought this to replace an aging onkyo receiver that couldnt do 4k pass through. This one is able to do that but I can’t help but feel that the audio just isn’t as good as the onkyo. I went through and did the Audyssey speaker setup and everything. I have always heard great things about denon but i think this is a budget denon system and so it just doesn’t have all the fancy stuff the higher end Denon’s have. … the menus on this thing are horrible, switching between audio modes is no intuitive on the remote. I can’t decide if the receiver just stinks or if I have somethign setup wrong. I’ll keep messing with it, but for now, I kind of miss my onkyo. Glad I got it on sale – if I paid full price I would be very disappointed.
DaveR –
Very good receiver for the price. Easy guided setup process.
Bean –
Got this item on sale know its a budget receiver. 8k 75W works with Alexa. Boom! Only using it to drive two zones of stereo speakers through Heos. That is that exact reason I bought it. Wish the plug was not directly attached.
Hrider –
This was to replace my Denon 1750 after my move. It has so far been a perfect replacement. Very happy with receiver and geek squad
ISHy –
First time going with entry level premium. I usually go for the open box deals and this time I decided to treat myself and a treat it is! The only reason this is not a 5 star is because of the small glitches I sometimes go through, like having my devices on before turning on the reciever or else I have to change inputs so it can recognize the devices. Other than that, the sound is amazing! Great first impression from Denom
Brad –
Sound is fine and all, but I got a damaged box and when I opened it, a chip was taken out of the corner. Neither Best Buy nor Denon was willing to make this right so I can’t recommend purchasing this.
tippie –
Simple installation, great features! Didn’t take long to set up. Well worth it.
Wrong –
Difficult to control, not user friendly, but sound is good
CoreyM –
Great receiver. Ive only had it for about 2 hours at this point, but its a nice upgrade from the s760h i had previously. Updated and more power, the user face is easy and friendly.
HarryG –
Added power to my Bose speaker surround system. Easy to setup and connect.
Damian –
Very good sound and features. We hooked up 5 speakers to this unit in a 4200 sq foot space and clear sound in every corner. Very happy.
Springs –
Denon has always been my go to.. Really nice proud..
TahjiC –
This is my first Denon amp. Pioneer had my spoiled. Set up was not difficult, I’m not a tech head, but I somewhat know about this stuff. I love music and need it to sound a certain way; Denon serves it’s purpose.
Thanks –
I really enjoy this receiver and all the features it has. Setup was easy and simple. I have PS5, Switch, and a 4k Roku and processor dose excellent. Highly recommend this product.
Lyss –
Great system. Worth the purchase. Would recommend.
Charles –
I needed a replacement receiver, and this one has been amazing. It has all the functions I would need for a home audio system and more. The power saving mode is great and I’d recommend it to a friend looking to set up a wired surround sound system.
VincentF –
Great receiver and it was very easy to setup and use.
Jimmy52 –
The Denon AVR-S760H is a amazing receiver. The sound is amazing and it’s easy to set up.
Sunstar33 –
Absolutely dope, the only issue I have is that I never run a HDMI from living room to receiver location which is in the hallway, and you have to maneuver through the on screen setup. Now I got a bit of attic work to run that beefy HDMI. Otherwise so far so good, powering 2 zones the main 2.1 and a second 2.1 outside.
Sometimesimlola –
I have two of these because I liked the first one so much, we got one for the downstairs as well! Simple setup, great app!

Denon provides a quality product for an affordable price. It Always works and it always sounds great. Gonna upgrade eventually but this has been a great entry level receiver
