SCREAMING –
Great experience purchasing and hiring Geek Squad to install. I still don’t understand it! lol but it works great!

Extremely easy to set up. Sounded much better than I expected. It automatically adjusted the equalization and volume levels of my existing speakers and made them sound better than they ever have.
TaniaB –
I was able to get this receiver on sale, which made it a really good buy for the quality.

I’ve got a lot of old and new AV devices hooked up to this receiver and it handles them all like a champ. I chose not to run all my video through the receiver and instead pipe the audio for everything on my TV to the Denon via a single HDMI cable utilizing ARC. The receiver still works great with this setup and recognizes all audio formats.

Set up was simple, device was compatible and interfaces well with my stereo, TV, gaming, and my early 90’s 300 cd changer. The amperage on this is a bit under powered but I’m sure my percieved sound decibels coming from my speakers is less than what the unit is putting out. 5 starts for out of the box ease of instalation, use, value added, and exorcism expense v value for the product over all. Only thing left to test is durability and that takes time, it’s also why you buy the warranty.

Easily replaced the other Denon i had. Now I’ve got one in the garage and the house!
Brecky –
Top notch receiver, we needed to replace our old 20-year-old one .
We are very pleased with the speakers and sound system

Luv2shop –
Just what we were looking for to update our receiver.

This is one of the best entry level receivers out there. It has discrete amps for all channels, supports eArc and overall has good sound. It even comes with a microphone so you can run the setup wizard to correct any imbalances in sound caused by speaker size and location.
It does not have network connectivity which means no firmware updates, so bugs won’t get fixed.
Manual configuration requires some expertise.

my onkyo 747 from decades ago has had the speakers click on/off when not warmed up, so decided on newer receiver with HDMI vs adapters etc. overall sound quality via virtual sound is really good. clear dialogue for TV and imaging for movies, very good audio panning with just two front speakers and a sub.. i had to manually set the sub to MAIN+LFE otherwise the receiver refused to send to the sub out. other than that, seens totally ok. 70watts is plenty. it did complain about not being able to detect the TV via HDMI even though i was using it, go figure, selected coax instead.

I’m totally impressed with this AVR. It doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles but it sounds amazing. Unlike my last AVR (Pioneer Elite) I always had to adjust the settings when I wanted to listen to my music.

This is a very nice quality unit and it’s easy to use. What more can you ask for??

Great A/V earc HDMI amp for my all new entertainment room. Works great with my flat screen ultra HD. Added POLK AUDIO XT-70 tower speakers and two bookshelf speakers for the beginning of 5.1 surround. 12″ POLK AUDIO sub woofer is next.

This product is exactly what I was looking for!!!!

Excellent – easy to set up and connect! Sounds great.
ChrisF –
Fantastic 5.1 Surround Sound Receiver! Easy to set up and at 70watts for 5 speakers (I have Polk Advent speakers), it produces plenty of sound for my size room of approx. 300sqf. Price was very reasonable as well…
PeggyB –
Love the Denon stereo receiver. Great, crisp sound. Works great with TV, YouTube, CD, DVD or Blu-ray. Very good value.
Instructions could be more helpful and clear….got it working though.
Toai –
Material looks cheap. No airplay. If you’re willing to pay more get an Onkyo 7.2
VickieP –
Great quality and perfect condition through shipping .
Gretasdad –
Great for the new Xbox series x and PlayStation 5. My older Sony couldn’t process the 2.1 hdmi.

Bought this from Best Buy to upgrade to 4k pass through and got it all hooked up after some other supplies arrived. Audio will just drop for 10 – 20 seconds several times per hour. BestBuy only had a 15 day return policy so contacted Denon support. Was told it was most likely an EDID issue and won’t go forward with support until I did more testing myself to confirm that. Denon’s support page pretty much absolves them of any blame on EDID issues and puts the onus on the video device to fix instead with the added bonus that this model cannot do any firmware updates. First time trying Denon so not sure if other models would have a better experience but I will be going back to Yamaha.
Happy –
Really good for the price point. I downgraded my old system. The space I have doesn’t require a lot of speakers and this was a really good option for my needs
JimG –
Easy set up. Great sound. Bought it to start playing albums again paired with audio technica turntable and klipsch speakers and sub.
KeenanB –
It was a great gift for my father. He loved it. He did not expect it. So I definitely appreciate you guys for that. Thank you.
MichelleT –
I recently bought this Denon to replace a different brand that was going haywire after barely a year. This was less expensive and so far is working better than the other well known brand.
KimW –
Excellent receiver, great sound and easy to hook up.
OrlandoR –
Loving it!! Definitely worth the wait. After pairing it with my home theater speakers, my system is AWESOME . Sports, concerts, movies, and not to mention THE MUSIC. OMG, my family loves it all.
Athoma –
I am enjoying the sound. Very good product. Its easy to set up. The product really beat my expectation
CarlosA –
Excellent sound, quality and functions works great on my home theater
BalajiR –
Best for 5 speakers theater at right price. ARC available so TV remote can control volume
WburgCR –
This unit was perfect for my needs to just have a nice surround sound with my Bose speakers. I don’t do gaming or anything like that, but for a movie sound thru your home tv instantly, this is the unit to buy.
DaleB –
Runs my Bose home theatre system perfectly. Very happy with my purchase.
KrunalM –
It’s been a year of use and like it so far, nothing to complain about and it works the way it should.
that1guy –
Really impressed with the sound quality for the money! The surround effects are quite pronounced. It’s really immersive. I really bought it just to inexpensively add surround to our upstairs TV, when I upgraded the speakers in the downstairs home theater, but it really sounds quite exceptional!
dks1 –
For an inexpensive, base line amplifier, this one is great. Bluetooth and all.
BryanS –
Excellent value , just be aware there is HEOS.
Easy to setup.
DejuanB –
Love it and love the controls I have now!!! I feel like I’m in the movie theater
VincentP –
Too difficult to connect unless you are an I T person and even after I hired one the amp had other problems like special gold plated cords that cost on average of $40 to $100 bucks. Also I returned the item and still have not received my refund after 2x weeks.
DnFlwrs –
Quality Denon receiver for the price. 5.2 works great
rushman55 –
I bought this receiver about a week ago to replace an Onkyo that went into protect mode on me. I didn’t feel like paying $200 minimum to get it fixed so I just went out and bought a new receiver. the receiver was 399 when I bought it but now it’s down to 309 and Best buy price matched it for me which makes it even better. picture basic 5.2 channel surround receiver. it can pass 4K and 8K signal which is nice does not have Dolby Atmos which I had on my old receiver but I never used anyways. does not have internet connection which I never used so I’m fine without all the bells and whistles have a more expensive receiver. I just need a five speaker surround receiverthat passes 4K and I’m good. one minor drawback I have noticed though is that it has HDMI pass through but you can only pass through one source I’ve had other receivers that I could pass through three or four sources without the receiver on.
Timpete143 –
This is my 2nd Denon rec. My first I bought some 17 years ago. Still working. Just saw this on sale and have myself an upgrade. Needless to say this new rec is basically the same just a few more bells and whistles. But worth the price. Sounds awesome. I’m a big Blu-ray guy. The sound is theater or better quality.
JohnT –
I really enjoyed the 1st one i had so i got another
great product
