Do not buy this laptop! Hinges broke and warranty doesn’t cover it. $900 dlls for repairs at best buy. There’s a class action lawsuit for this problem.

great laptop, the only issue is that the second i got it i had sound issues. the sound volume will go up & down randomly & ill even have glitching sounds. i also cant hook up my headphones to the ear jacks. ive tried all the remdies just short of bringing it in but for now its manageable so i havent bothered. would be great if i didnt have issues the second i bought it but overall? great laptop i love it

DO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY …THEY SELL REFURBISHED ITEMS AS NEW PRODUCTS …….Best Buy advertise as if they are selling new products but really selling refurbished products. I purchased a laptop in June it stop working in August. I called Best Buy they told me it’s under manufacture warranty. I called Dell gave them the information on the laptop and Dell told me the laptop was a 2 yr old refurbished laptop and there is not warranty. I called Best Buy back and customer service refused to allow me to speak to a manager and told me to take it in to a Best Buy geek squad. The guy said I can’t do anything for you. I called Best Buy again and the guy refused to allow me to speak wit a manager.The store manager in Snellville said all our items are refurbished and said he can’t refund me because it’s outside of the return date. Finally he said he will send it out to Best Buy warranty department but can’t guarantee anything. I got the laptop back after a month they replaced the hardware but not to the original hardware they advertised. I still haven’t spoken to a manager and they refuse to refund my money.

Love the Inspiron 16 2 in 1
Consider improving touch pad sensitivity. I now use a mouse for ease and hit the exact area as opposed to continually trying with the touch pad.
The McAfee preloaded is a nuisance with continued pop ups on a regular basis Tuesdays and Sundays usually late at night.
The outside case corners are sharp and will almost cut my hand when moving the laptop.
The finish is difficult to keep clean.
Need more memory.
Still not successful scanning and sending a document.
These comments are not from an experienced technical person, but I am willing to learn.

Issue :- Certain Row of Laptop Keyboard or touchpad stops working intermittently.
I am software professional, using laptops for last 25 years. This Dell inspiron laptop is the worst design. The ‘Key’ to laptop is being able to use in ‘lap’, and there are issue with the frame and casing of this “i7620-7631SLV-PUS”. To keep it light and thin, the designers went overboard made it took weak to function as “lap” top.
Slight pressure on one or other side of the frame, gets the keyboard top cover and base cover frame to shift press against the keyboard and touchpad, rendering is non-functional for that moment. Once the laptop is back on hard, perfectly straight, no ‘lap’, position, it starts working again!
It is flawed design and should be fixed as manufacturing defect, for a $1200 laptop. I would not complain if this was the case for $300 ‘toy’ laptop.
BestBuy and Geek squad is struggling to stand behind something that is sub-standard and I, as ‘loyal’ customer of Bestbuy am suffering.
BestBuy is trying to fix this design flaw by first getting the touchpad replaced, no use. Then second time Keyboard replaced, let us see what happens, as I am waiting for it to come back from Geek Squad service center.

This is the best computer I’ve ever used. I have used it for a year now and it has been excellent. The screen is beautiful, the I/O is great, the i7 processor and 16GB RAM is more than enough for my personal needs and it’s so powerful that it can even handle some light gaming! The best part is that it can fold the other way around to become a tablet! Everything about this laptop is awesome and it’s got everything I like all in one portable package. 10/10 recommend!!

The touchpad sucks. It is intermittent. The keys have already started to lose their designation. I sent Dell an email explaining if they don’t help I will simply destroy the laptop and never buy another. I am frustrated with Dell.

What an amazing product. I’ve been considering getting a new laptop for quite a while and there were several key specifications I was looking for – charge with USB C, i7 processor, 16GB RAM, a good size SSD. This has it all. It also is a touch screen 2-in-1 so can be used like a tablet. The screen is so bright and clear, I’m surprised by how good it looks from any angle – it is clear from a pretty extreme angle to the side which makes it easy to collaborate with others. It also has fingerprint sign in, I didn’t realize that, but it is a nice feature. The only negatives I can come up with are that there is no number pad on the keyboard (which I’m getting used to), and there is no cd drive. Fortunately, it is only $40 for an external Dell CD/DVD drive.
