Tony –
How can I review an item that I have not received. This has cost me emotionally and financially. I am not sure if I will be a cost in the future based on how this was handled.
Lainix –
although this was certified refurbished you could never tell other than the box had been opened. loving the monitor.
Cruising –
I returned this refurbished monitor because it had a red vertical line on the screen. i purchased the same monitor but new and its great. no lines or dead pixels.

I had a “free sync” monitor that went up to 70 Hertz and thought I was getting the full gaming experience. After this upgrade I realized the monitor is just as important as the Graphics card! A power graphics card 2060/2070 and up that isn’t paired with a 144 Hertz monitor is just wasted money now in my opinion. Bought this one refurbished and very pleased,. Good as new.

This review is for the Dell 32 Curved Gaming Monitor – S3220DGF. I purchased this and I am a normal retail user who has extensive experience with quality monitors.
It is a VA side lit LED panel. Off center display viewing is not an issue for the user, but it will start to degrade when viewed from more than 20 degrees off center. Normal non critical photo or video editing should not be a problem. The contrast is decent. The screen is a slight matte that controls reflections well. Blacks are very black, but I was not happy with the color contrast out of the box with the SDR setting. I calibrated it with my old X-Rite Color Munki Smile and that was a big improvement. It has all the on screen adjustments for color, contrast and brightness, but I just couldn’t get what I was satisfied with, with out calibrating. I don’t think this is a problem if you are only gaming, but I mention it for those who will also use it for media editing.
It is a Free Sync monitor but Nvidia’s G-Sync works with this monitor. It supports HDR 400, but when I set to HDR it is really bright. I find that just running it on the standard SDR setting is the most realistic. The 1800 curve of the monitor is not drastic, and I feel that it is just enough for all around use. Just enough immersion for your games and not so much that the curve becomes disruptive for all your other uses. The backlighting is quite even. If you put up a black background it will be evenly black. If you put up a dark gray backgound, there will be a slight vignetting of the borders, but nothing that is noticeable in use. Even with photo editing it won’t be an issue on a screen this big, as you have lots of real estate to stay away from the borders. Although I would not recommend any monitor of this size at any less than 4K and IPS if the main purpose is image or video editing,
What I am pointing out in the following is not a knock on this monitor. The analogy relates to all monitors. The thing that I want to point out is that although it is a large monitor, it does not equate to anything other than average when you consider pixel density if you are stepping up from a 24 inch 1080P monitor. The pixel density is going to be just about the same, which is right around 93 PPI. The quality of the display regarding the sharpness and definition is directly related to pixel density, which is optimal at 110 PPI. If you are a gamer and currently have a 4K 27 inch 60 hz monitor and who wants a faster monitor for gaming, as I did, be prepared to experience a lower quality display. Now I am not saying it is bad, but is is definitely inferior regarding detail and color definition to my Dell P2715Q 27 inch 4K IPS monitor. So if absolute perfect resolution is your goal, and you have the hardware to drive 4K, you may want to look hard at spending more, if you absolutely have to have a 32 inch monitor. Or just go with a more affordable 27 inch 4K gaming monitor. For those who think, well I can just up the resolution using the Dynamic Resolution Sampling feature with Nvidia’s DRS or the equivalent of what AMD uses, it works , but the advantage is not the same as native 4K, and the result is really not anything appreciable to merit the cost of the reduced FPS performance. Yes, using DRS to upgrade to 4K will take just as much horsepower as driving a 4K monitor.
So in summary, it is a great 2560 X 1440P monitor. It has had great reviews from many of the Tech review sites. Probably is as good of a 32 inch 165hz Free Sync/ G Sync capable monitor as you can get for the same dollar amount. Just be sure that you absolutely have to have a 32 inch monitor, because although bigger is nice, I can’t honestly say that it is really that much better than gaming on a 27 inch monitor and QHD 2560 X 1440P resolution is going to look much better on a 27 inch monitor.

It’s beautiful looking, great quality and very clear picture but we didn’t know we were buying a used computer monitor when we ordered so I feel it’s over priced since it’s not new.
Stuart –
Great monitor. I’ve had no issues it has an excellent refresh with no lag. I would highly recommend this monitor for gaming.
Monitor –
Wonderful surround 3D screen for gaming, computer use, or movies/emails, etc
Yolo –
Awesome monitor. However, do not buy refurbished. Had to return after a a few weeks
Cody –
Received item broken. Never buying a refurbished monitor ever again returned it same night it got delivered
Adrian –
Literally picked up the monitor this morning and it didnt come in original box but a plain brown box. Opened the box up and i could quickly see a crack on the screen in the middle. Turned it on anyways and half the screen was completly gone because of the crack.
UNHAPPY –
Not happy! Arrived in poor condition. Left side of screen is dark and there is a bright red pixel line on right side of screen. Was supposed to be Geek Squad Certifide to be working. I did not want a refurbished to begin with, but was all they had left. Now have to rebox it and drive an hour to return it. And no idea why they said it could take up to 30 days to get my refund.

Good monitor, I used it for 2 years eith issues, the only thing that was noticible was some ghosting. It was clear when scrolling down a word document.

4 Stars for one main reason: Color range.
Any video editors, be aware that color on these monitors will be pretty different from what will display on other monitors, phones, and TV. As a content creator myself, this is super important.
With that being said, I’ve owned 2 of these monitors for 4 years and absolutely love them. I recently had one damaged though, and they’ve gone UP in price in the past few years, so replacing them out of pocket may personally not be worth it, get the Damage Warranty! These monitors are HUGE and HEAVY(!!), so be prepared for having to get really nice mounts or arms to support 35ish pounds of monitor! I had to find a special pair of them since most 32in-capable arms only support 20lbs!
V-Sync is nice, and the black-point is pretty clear too. The color presets are pretty consistent with the names, the gaming mode does beef up the colors pretty nicely in a positive way.
Gen 1/2 Models of this DO NOT SUPPORT 4k gaming! You will need an A03 model of these models to support the best possible gaming experience, check on youtube for more info!
Also, these monitors only support 30 degrees of rotation, so pretty much wherever you set the base is where the monitor stays, and if it’s angled at all, the visibility of the monitor is greatly reduced similar to a privacy screen but white, so be prepared to order mounts.
Overall, 4/5 stars.
