    I was worried this center would sound small and tinny and thin but boy was I shocked in our room. I’m sure as usual bigger is better but I do not think you will be disappointed at all with this speaker. You can also adjust or aim the speaker with a screw on the back up and down. I bought the Sony bookshelf speakers and was going to buy Sony center so all would match but was out of stock and with recommendation of BB manager I-tested this speaker. Do not worry about the “ timbre matching” there is validity to some of that but in my opinion unless you are spending a ton more money and are a total audiophile it’s not a deal breaker. Oh and by the way this center channel is with a Sony 1080 receiver the voices are cleaner than my Atmos enabled 1000+ dollar sound bar. I wish at the time I could have bought L and R channel Definitive Speakers just to compare to the highly rated Sony’s (which are good I will add) because the Definitive Center is really that good in our situation.

    If you can get them on sale, it’s good enough for a bedroom/small room. You’re making a sacrifice on sound if you’re going for such a small speaker.

    Also, thought this was match for the promonitors 1000. Turns out the procenter 2000 would be the correct match and isn’t even sold at Best Buy.

    All the Def Tech pro cinema stuff is getting retuned for big, room filling speakers. Going with KEF or SVS instead

    I was having terrible sound problems with old center speaker and purchased this speaker and there was no improvement. I then realized it was the AVR that was the problem. I purchased a new Denon AVR from BB and my old center speaker now works properly as did this center speaker so I returned this one. BB, of course, always great for returns. So, if you want a new center speaker, this is a great quality one to purchase. Just be careful that the “problem” with your “old” center speaker is not your AVR which was my situation.

    DT speakers are pricey, but the sound is great and the looks are above the norm. Great styling. Secure packing. I am mixing and matching DT bookshelf speakers to form a 7.1 Atmos sound system. The Pro 600, 800 and 1000 speakers seamlessly work together. I do not ‘drive’ them hard, but bought extended warranties, just to be sure.

    Exceptional quality in appearance equalled only by the sound it produces – At last I can hear what people are saying on the TV! It is seriously the best sound I have heard from a speaker this size but it fits in in a very balanced way with the rest of the system I have. One little thing: let it ‘burn in’ by playing for several hours – the sound will change and become richer over time.
