Longpom –
Dishwasher doesn’t have heating element to dry dishes. Go figure!! Our old GE dishwasher costed us 1/3rd the cost of Dacor and it was very functional and practical. We called their technician and they were absolutely clueless as they didn’t know Dacor products. I showed them that the water was left inside the drain well and they had to call their technical dept to find answer. They said that to dry dishes, you keep the door open. This dishwasher was panel ready so after 2 hrs of wash cycle, you need to keep the door open so dished dry our. Really??? Stay away from this model as it’s useless. Samsung probably don’t have any interest in keeping Dacor product continue. We will try to get replacement if there’s option for panel ready….not happy customer.

it is not stable. If you don’t put the dishes in evenly on all for sides the dishes fall and the rack leans

Nice, sensible dishwasher. Works great. I like the top shallow tray. Plenty of room inside. My cabinet company made the panels and they fit great. (I don’t have the handle on yet)

It doesn’t clean anything properly. And yes, I load correctly; been using D/Ws for over 30 years so I’ve seen a few of them in my time. Most dishes (not all) have to be cleaned again by hand after they come out of the D/W. Second, unless you leave a large area of the lower rack empty in the left front corner, the soap cover doesn’t open correctly and the soap pod remains unused. Which means you really can’t fully load the machine so I end up having to run it twice a day on weekends when everyone is home. Another issue is that the tines of the lower rack are slanted to load plates. I don’t know about other people but when I cook and my family finishes a meal, I don’t just have dirty plates, I have dirty saucepans and/or stainless steel pots and pans. Which can’t really be loaded properly because all the tines are angled sharply and designed for plates. I know place settings are a unit of measurement to show how large a dishwasher is, but this is taking things a little too literally. Then we have the spoon rack. The spoon rack is on the top rack so if you have long iced teaspoons, you can’t really insert them in the spoon rack on the top rack because they hang down and interfere with the lower rack. There is a small 3 hole spoon rack in the bottom but (a) it’s tiny and (b) it has no hooks to attach to the lower rack, so it keeps wanting to fall over with the weight of the serving spoons. And lastly, the door. I haven’t been able to figure out if my install is bad or what but the door won’t stay open to load or unload, even with the lower rack rolled out. I have a large rock (I’m not kidding) that I use to prop open the door by sitting on the open door to stop it from slamming shut during load / unload. I’ve already begun putting money aside each month and I plan to replace it as soon as possible. Save your money! Find a different dishwasher!
