It’s probably the best affordable grinder. Wide range of grind choices. It is much quieter than the blender type with spinning blades, and make less coffee dust, but still makes some. Also, you can start it and walk away. Cheaper grinders had to be held on. Since purchase, I have seen a comparison review in the well-known product review magazine. Their opinion was similar. This one is OK. The OXO conical burr grinder supposedly is the best, low noise and low coffee-dust, but twice the price.

My parents had this exact one that lasted forever, almost as long as I have been born. The only reason we bought a new one was because my dad decided to take out the screw to clean it. They didn’t want to go back in. Hence a new version of the same one. 100% recommend.

Ran the mill for 1 lb of coffee when i saw it started to smoke. Need to get a better unit if your trying to grind your own coffee

I tried to grind cardamom but it couldn’t grind it even with coarse grinding, but it grinds coffee, dried pepper, dried cumin, etc. Its sound is loud and very disturbing.

This burr mill features a variable scale allowing me to grind coffee beans as fine or as coarse as I prefer. I can preload several days worth of beans and select the amount to grind, hands-free while I perform other tasks in my kitchen.

It grinds it pretty easily and quickly. I like that it has different settings to grind so you dont just grind all your coffee and it goes bad quickly so you waste your beans.

Great little coffee grinder. We have used it daily for 3 years and bought this one to give as a present. Other grinders didn’t grind well. This one is small enough to leave out on the counter. It’s noisy.

It grinds well. I’ve used a simple Krups grinder for years and years so this will take some getting used to. There’s a little more thinking involved than just grinding away.

This device is supeeb in every way possible. The different settings to grind coffee is amazing. Ypu can go from very course to super espresso fine.
Now, my negative issues abiut this device are these. It’s a pain to clean. You have to dismantle everything and use that useless brush to remove all the coffee grinds. Try your best to remove them so you dont have stale coffee on your next grind. But if you grind daily, then theres little chance of that.
Secondly it gets hot if you grind too much. And when it’s hot, it will shut down unless completely cooled. So if I’m grinding an entire bag, i just go slowly until all done.
So apart from those twonissues, this grinder is the only device to fet for coffee beans. Ice only used this for coffee so i dont know what it does for spices.

It grinds coffee to a not so uniform grind. Gives a lot of coffee dust that ends up making your coffee bitter. Better than some but i would go with something better to get better coffee

This was a replacement to a much bulkier grinder that did not perform well. This one is not very loud and grinds really well. There is almost no waste and it’s easy to clean.

Doesn’t grind consistently. Lots of fine particles , even on course setting clogging my drip filters. Considering returning.
