    So far i like the toaster very much, however I have not had the opportunity to explore all of the functions yet. I only give it a 4 because wading through the information and instructions took more time than necessary. It is actually more simple than the sometimes incomplete instructions.

    I bought my first Cuisinart Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven in the Spring of 2021. By September (about six months later), the dial had stopped working, so I called Cuisinart Customer Service for a replacement. They were very nice about replacing the unit and I was hopeful that the replacement would work better than the first one. It didn’t. Here are the problems I have had with both ovens.

    1. Poor temperature control: The unit runs VERY hot. Air frying on the top rack (as the instructions state) at the recommended temperatures (again, per the instructions) for the recommended time renders dry, burnt, inedible food. Adjusting the temperature/time isn’t reliable, as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t FOR THE SAME FOOD ITEMS.

    2. Now it doesn’t even make toast reliably. One side is dark, the other is light.

    3. The “basket” is a shallow little thing and hard to take out and give your your fries a “shake”.

    4. It takes FOREVER to preheat.

    5. It takes up WAY too much space on a countertop for something that works so poorly.

    I really did want to love this appliance, but I don’t. Right now I’m wrestling between buying a regular toaster and an “old fashioned” bucket-type air fryer and taking this to the metal recycle at my local dump. But it was way too expensive to just toss. So, now I’m out the $$$ AND hate the appliance.

    MY RECOMMENDATION: do not buy.

    I rarely use my oven any more since I bought this beauty home. I love that it can do so different things. This is my first air fryer and there is a bit of a learning curve as to time and temperature. I haven’t used all the settings yet, but the ones I have I’m pleased with. It makes the perfect toast and bacon. The dehydrated orange slices came out amazing! It’s fairly easy to clean and the instruction booklet that came with the machine was good. It even has a few recipes.

    I’ve would have loved this product but now the round knob is sticking. I have to work with it for greater than 5 minutes to get it working. For the price I paid for this product. I know I shouldn’t have these problems.

    I am just a beginner in the air frier world. I need help using all the options and buttons – there are many. Airfry is a new way to cook. But overall, it dual cooks FAST and so crisp. Great for 1-2 people. Heats up everything. I like the digital options. Decent size oven for actual cooking. Still fits on the counter.

    We have had this fryer twice in the last year. The knob breaks within a few months. We ended up not getting it a third time. We spent 100.00 more and got a Breville Fryer all in one instead.

    My first TOA-65: selector dial went wonky after 5 months and stopped working after 9 months. Cuisinart replaced unit with another.
    My 2nd TOA-65: arrived with loose but functioning selector dial. After 6 weeks, unit remains in PreHeat Mode, does not cook at selected heat, and timer stops working. Cuisinart offers to send another, but I opt for the TOA-70 model which is not digital and has different selector dials. And sells for about $75 less than I paid for the TOA-65.
    Additionally, Cuisinart is now demanding I return the 26lb TOA-65 via UPS. I explained I am handicapped, & don’t have a box or a means of transporting it. Cuisinart tells me to “work it out with UPS.”
    Another note: Both my 1st and 2nd TOA-65 units cooked at about 75 degrees higher than the selected temperature, causing many things to burn or overcook.
    How my 3rd unit in less than a year, the TOA-70, will work out remains to be seen. I’m not optimistic.

    Used it a few times and it is an adjustment to get use to cooking in it. But over very satisfied so far. Fried a couple of times and baked once.

    Used this toaster sparingly over the last year and a half..about 6 months ago the knob that controls everything for settings started to get screwy and not respond correctly, this was annoying but we could deal with it, now a day ago, the whole machine just crapped out and sounds awful when it’s turned on. WASTE OF MONEY FOR $200+, would like to know if they will replace this thing with a unit that works!!??

    I have never used an air fry oven before and I am very impressed with this one. It preheats very fast and it cooks.vegetables quickly. It can also be used as a toaster for bread. I would buy this one again.

    A but disappointed with this! The dial for the settings does mot work properly. Everyone does love my air fryer wings but it takes minutes of fighting with the dial to get to the appropriate settings.

    So far we love it after about a month. We use our big oven a lot less and toast and toasted sandwiches are so good – the bread is toasted all the way through and not just in the edges. Meat and veggies and pizza turn out evenly cooked with a little crispness that we didn’t get with a regular toaster oven.

    Dont buy!! The digital knob that controls everything is so touchy and is almost impossible to select the function and time.

    Toast comes out perfect on both sides. Best toaster we’ve ever had but we wouldn’t spend all this money on just toasting. The air fryer works great too. I’ve air fried chicken wings, thighs, pork chops and french fries. All came out perfect – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Have had this for about 7 weeks and still testing recipes!

    We bought this at a “big box” store because of the price and our toaster and small convection oven had died. Well it worked great and then about a week after the warranty expired the main control knob/button stopped functioning on certain settings like bake, air fry, toast, etc… Once that started happening it completely became useless and now we cant even select anything other than roast and toast. We are now in the market for something that actually functions like it should.

    Bought in May, the dial was wonky by July. All functions worked perfectly, but it took a min to get the knob/dial to get to the correct function. Thankfully we have the protection plan and Best Buy Geek Squad refunded it.

    I wish I pulled the trigger and purchased this earlier. I love it! It’s faster, doesn’t heat up the kitchen, uses less energy, and cooks beautifully at all settings. It is faster than a regular oven, so watch your dishes until you get used to it!

    It is a good air fryer and does great baking. The main issue is that it seems to run hotter than the displayed temperature. Had to constantly either reduce the heat or the timer or both. It also tends to smoke the kitchen up for certain foods.

    As a toaster oven, this thing is amazing. Better than I could have imaged. But I will admit I’ve tried air frying multiple different things and I haven’t been happy with any of the results. I’ve been tempted to buy another air fryer that is designed to do only that. Just not happy with how this thing air fries.

    In less than a year from the day I bought this oven/air fryer, the device started giving problems. The knob that controls the setting stopped working. The process to select the cooking method, temperature and time became cumbersome because the selection was never accurate. I do not recommend this product. $200 thrown away in just over a year

    We have had this air fryer for just over a year. The knob and buttons always seemed quite flimsy and they started to have issues after only a few months. Rotating the knob would sometimes cause the menu options and temperature setting to skip and jump around. Up until recently, it was just an annoyance. Now the knob just makes completely random selections and the screen intermittently goes blank.

    It’s has been a little less than a month and I still learning about the my new Cuisinart oven.
    I replaced my old one (which quit working)with this new model. Compare to old one I had: pros are it’s has more features, it’s has presetting with temperature and time which some of them can adjusted. I have not tried all features yet. I stop using our regular electric oven because this one is a right size for two people .
    Cons : I am very sensitive for noise’s levels and this model has fan that cools down unit. It’s quite annoying. Another thing that I don’t like you can not switch settings to cook something else until it’s reset itself. The older model has future as soon you open the door its stops working. But the the new model you have to push the button to stop ( trying getting use to not forgetting pushing the button).
    Overall I pleased with my replacement. Another reason I replaced it with same size oven because the old model has same dimensions for trays and racks. I think 30$ for tray replacement it’s overpriced.

    This is probably one of the favorite things I own. You can use it to make so many different things.

    That said, I had one problem with the display control going bad. Took it back, and they replace, but then that one went bad as well. I’m on the third and this one works well. No problems. The Cuisinart customer service was really good.

    This is my third time buying this product, after going through the bestbuy warranty. All three times was the button that controls everything in the oven. After a year or so the button starts to act up and you can spend easily like 10 minutes just trying to put what ever setting you are trying to use to work.

    Worked fine for half a year, but the knob stopped working properly, so it can’t tell which way it is being turned anymore. It’s very annoying that trying to increase the time or the temp using that knob might instead decrease it, so I have to just sit there and keep trying. Planning on replacing it.

    At the start, once an item was selected, all went well. I had it for about 9 months. After 6 months of use, it became difficult to select an item on the LCD screen. It became increasingly more difficult. Removing the power plug from the dedicated outlet and replacing it helped a little at the beginning, but then did no good. The bottom line is that after 8 months trying to select an option on the LCD menu, it was extremely difficult, like taking a chance on a slot machine in Vega, Poor electrical quality on the switch.
