    If you are upgrading a Desktop, by all means, upgrade to a solid-state drive! If you do, then be sure and get this Corsair duel SATA drive enclosure, as it will allow you to add two Solid-state drives on top of each other, allowing one for your operating system, and the other for added storage! Great product!

    The WD – Blue SA510 2TB Internal SSD SATA was successfully installed in my iMac 2015 to replace the old hard drive disk. With the mounting bracket that was bought from BestBuy too, it perfectly fit for my computer.

    As I had removed the 3.5″ drive cage from pc years ago, I needed a solution. Thankfully Corsair saved my day. I had no problems installing this cage for my new ssd drive purchase. All necessary hardware was also present.

    My new ssd drive was easy to mount in the enclosure but the enclosure was a little difficult to mount in the computer case maybe because the computer case is more than ten years old and the mounting holes do not line up precisely.

    Great product from Corsair to convert a 3.5 mechanical drive to a set of two 2.5 solid state drives. Strong matte black finish.

    Finally found one of these in stock at a Best Buy store, which wasn’t an easy task.

    To be clear, this adaptor is NOT meant for those newer, skinny SSD drives drives that pug into an M2 socket. It is for the older style SSD drives that use a SATA cable and separate SATA power connector.

    You may install up to two drives in this bracket. The bracket can then be installed in a 3 1/2 inch floppy drive bay (remember those?), or an old school 3 1/2″ hard drive bay.

    Many newer pc cases have a place where you may mount an SSD drive without needing one of these brackets, but if you are upgrading an older computer and trying to install an SSD drive, you will probably need one of these.

    It came with mounting hardware. Very simple to install. Not much else to say about this. It’s a mounting bracket.

    I’m assuming this thing worked great. I had a new SSD installed in my 2019 iMac. Unfortunately I live on an island and the ferry ride home got a little rough and shattered my display screen. Bad luck followed by a little rage. Finally landing in defeated sadness. I’ll never know how my Mac could have performed. The Geek Squad was fantastic! they were knowledgeable and really nice. I give them an A+. As for my shattered Mac. Total failure. Maybe the bad luck I experienced will blossom into a Spurt of $400 Gift Card Good Luck. That would be a welcomed change.

    These are about the best 3.5 to 2.5 adapters.
    The screws are top notch, the cage it self is powered coated not paint.

    Also these will take (2) 2.5″ ssd’s instead of 1 ssd

    Have used a number of these for mounting SATA SSDs into older desktop PCs 3.5″ bays. This one fits up to two 2.5″ SATA drives. Though, I’ve generally only ever used one drive at a time.

    Anyway, seems fit-for-purpose, and I’ve never had a problem with any of the ones I’ve bought / used to upgrade & spice up older machines.
