    I’ve been using this for years and it’s great but I was able to convince my mom to cut the cord and make the switch. Like a lot of people she doesn’t always feel comfortable making big changes with technology. Finally, she decided to let us give it a go. She has been very pleased with how easy the switch has been. We have her subscribed to YouTube TV and she has Paramount and HBO accounts and it was very easy to load her apps and arrange them to be at the front of the home page. She really likes the interface and the ability to put her favorite shows on watch lists so that they appear on the front as well and in the library. Overall, it’s been a very smooth transition for someone who was very nervous about cutting the cord. The local cable company finally pushed the bill high enough to give it a go. The remote is easy to use and she loves the ability to push a button and tell her TV remote. What to do like find a certain show or turn the TV off or on.

    Pros: Beats the Samsung smart tv’s software. So far it has the streaming apps that I’ve wanted that the tv didn’t have. You can also run things like game streaming software on it as well, for example moonlight. Can also connect bluetooth devices to it, which can be useful.

    Cons: Kind of annoying how easy it is to drop the remote though, but that may have diy remedies. I wish there were more android software app selection. Could also maybe use a dedicated play/pause button. The center button works fine, but play/pause buttons can act differently in apps than select/enter buttons.

    I wasn’t sure which Google Chrome to pick at first and decided to try the 4K. The picture quality is great, and the remote is a plus. I am pleased with my choice.

    Awesome little device to stream, cast and mirror smartphones and tablets. Fairly quick and painless to operate. Great for households that have both ios and Android devices.

    I had to unplug everything and replug after the Chromecast didn’t work on initial try. Wish technology could just be plug and play but somehow we’re not there yet. Once it did work it’s been fairly smooth but I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall some of the app apps when they randomly decide to stop working.

    In addition the length of the cord from the HDMI plug to the device is really short and I’m going to have to get a tiny extender so the device isn’t hidden behind the TV to allow for a more seamless signal between the remote and the device. I’m surprised it’s not longer to allow the device to sit uncovered.

    However, this device makes it convenient to control the TV, sound bar and Chromecast all with one remote so that’s been really nice. It runs faster than the interface of my smart tv which is the main reason we got it.

    I think the device can use a few improvements but overall I’m enjoying it.

    Oh it’s a great device I love it because it gives you the chance to download so many apps and you can see on the television I definitely would recommend this device especially the 4K

    Works good. Does what it should. Sometime disconnects the volume, power and input connections to the tv; but I think that may be tv related. I can’t tell yet. Bought 3 of these for all our TV’s, they all work fine.

    Love the idea and I have 3 of them. But the voice search for a google product, sucks. When I voice search for shows or particular movies, it comes up with nothing 75% of the time. it doesn’t search installed apps for shows and movies.

    It’s easy to cast your phone to this device. There are some bad applications for streaming services but other than that it runs well.

    Excellent upgrade to my tv’s
    built-in app operating system. My tv’s OS got very buggy when i switched ISP. It could not connect to my internet. No matter how many factory resets i would do to try and solve the problem it just kept dropping connection. The Chromcast is a great work around if you’re experiencing this issue. The Chromcast connect with lightning speed. No lag and in 4k.
    I liked it so much I bought another for my 1080p livingroom tv. Looks great at 1080p too!

    I think it’s better than firetv 4k if you don’t plan to use Alexa but fireTV works great with Alexa. I have both and Chromecast has a better user interface. I took a star off only because I just realized that streaming sucks in general. I should not have bought fireTV or Chromecast but a Roku ultra or above. People don’t know that the cheaper the streamer the lower the bitrate and less quality video. Nvidia TV has the best quality video but it cost $200. Of course cable and fiber is probably better.

    Product is easy to set up and use! This older TV was hooked up to an Apple receiver. The control was very touchy which made it hard to stream programs. The Google TV control makes streaming so easy and the voice recognition works perfectly for all voices in our household. The unit is very reasonably priced.

    To be fair to get the most out of this you’ll also need the Google Home app and a Google account too but most people probably already those.

    It’s alright I guess. Pretty well has all the apps you would want. Has a decent enough UI. Only thing is it’s a little finiky at times. That’s mainly because I use satellite internet. I got this because my old smart tv reached the end of its life cycle. It became a dumb tv. This was cheaper and easier than buying a new one.

    I had the old chrome cast and it bit the dust. So i went out to get this. Love how it comes with a remote so you can control it instead of using your phone. Super easy to set up and use as well.

    This is a great streaming device, likely the best I’ve seen for the price. The interface is very fast and Google Assistant is responsive. I’m able to use a wide range of apps. Very easy set up including remote controls and soundbar control. The remote feels very comfortable to use. I wish this had some sort of Ethernet connectivity. Wifi is great but would prefer to use a solid connection. This is sitting in back of my outdoor TV. Haven’t used it yet in extreme weather but hoping it holds up.
