I iron a LOT and actually enjoy it. Having owned Shark irons in the past, I was skeptical about trying a different brand until I got this one. I never heard of “CHI” as a manufacturer before, but now that I know I would highly recommend this iron! So far, I haven’t had any residue show or stick to the plate. I also like that it’s gold-ish and just stylish overall. It heats up quickly and provides a solid amount of steam. Most irons I purchase tend to wear out after about 2 years, so I guess time will tell with it’s durability. To date, I’m VERY happy with my purchase!

So far, so good. Iron works very well, produces lots of steam, isn’t too heavy, and, so far, doesn’t leak. My only complaint is the settings are very hard to read, need to be darker or in a bright color.

Then I need to talk about the wonderful customer service I received due to the lost original shipment – outstanding representative and I was still able to get it by Christmas… the product and service was outstanding !

I thought I was buying a premium product (given the premium price), but this 1700w iron somehow underperforms my 1200w budget iron I’ve had for years. It takes a long time to heat up, and even on its highest heat and steam settings, it was barely able to get the wrinkles out of a thin, damp cotton sheet with many passes. The iron plate is smooth and glides easily, but that’s the only thing I liked. Disappointing.
I don’t think I will ever buy another CHI product.

I got so tired of my old irons getting dirty when I used starch on my work shirts. I would then have to spend time cleaning them and or go buy a new iron because they wouldnt get clean. This iron almost negates the need for starch because the steam is so heavy. I really like it and it is well worth the money. I have nothing bad to say about it at this point. Even when I use starch the iron plate does not get dirty or collect gunk.

It’s an ok iron. Yes, it has the non-stick part…but it takes a long time to heat up and the steam option is tricky to use. While I recommend it, it’s not like the iron we had for over 10 years.

This is a stellar iron. It releases just enough steam to help with medium fabrics, blasts the steam when it is needed and with careful adjustments, can handle the delicate items as well. Not cheap and totally worth it!

I love this iron! I had currently been using one of those little travel irons that you tuck in your suitcase, so this was obviously quite and improvement. I love the balance and ease of motion, the steam is great and supply is abundant, negating the need to constantly add water. Long cord is a plus. A little pricy, but well worth it!
