Can’t figure out how to use it. Can’t see nothing larger than a street light thru it.

This was not easy to use and instructions wasn’t clear either on how to use the telescope with our phones. It seems that it’s only good for much older model phones. It is not easy to use when you want to look through the telescope with your eyes.

The accessories make this a decent travel scope. It’s easy to set up. A fairly stable tripod stand. But, it is best for seated viewing. A Good value.

Poor quality and poor visibility with this product. If you are thinking about purchasing this item think twice. I would not waste your money.

I picked this up as a gift for my nephew, who primarily wanted something that would let him get a better look at the moon from his backyard. As I have never owned a telescope before, this seemed like a good pick. After a couple uses, however, I’ve come to realize that there are definitely some shortcomings.
The included carrying case is not particularly well designed for all the equipment you get. The main scope and its tripod fit well and are restrained by straps, but that’s about as much as I can say for it. There are a multitude of smaller accessory pockets which are all far too small to fit the eyepieces that ship with the scope, meaning they’re more or less just left to rattle around in the bottom. This doesn’t strike me as a great way to store any kind of optics, especially in a travel bag. The tripod is also fairly underwhelming. It’s a fairly standard aluminum tripod of the type usually used for small cameras. It doesn’t move particularly smoothly, nor does it do much to stabilize the scope when you look into it. For my nephew, it’s fine. He can keep the legs folded up so that the whole thing is a bit less top heavy. But if you raise it up to the level of an adult, it’s going to shake. Finally, the instructions you get are very limited. Most of what I learned about how to use this scope came from looking online, so you should do your research ahead of time.
That said, there is some good stuff to be had here. The optics appear to be of good quality, it was fairly easy to get focused, and you get a good range of eyepieces (which I had not realized are all standardized, so they can be brought over to other telescopes.) It’s great for its intended purpose of viewing the moon. And with the app helping guide you you may even be able to catch a glimpse of a planet, though I wouldn’t expect to be able to see much if any detail given the fairly small size of the lens. Really of you were to just put this on a more substantial tripod, most of the more serious issues would be resolved.
My recommendation: this would probably be a good deal if you can pick it up on sale, or if you’re mostly looking for something to use for terrestrial viewing. If it had cost half as much I would be singing it’s praises. But at its standard price point, it’s competing against a lot of other scopes that might not come with a carrying case or tripod, but would work a lot better and see further. That makes it hard for me recommend to anyone looking to get into this particular hobby, and absolutely impossible for anyone who’s already invested in it and likely has much better equipment to compare it against.

We got this telescope so that we could use our smartphone to take night sky photos. The telescope itself works alright, but the tripod is too short making it hard to line up stars unless you place it on like a picnic table. We got a nice expensive fluid head tripod that extends to over six feet and it makes a world of difference. The smartphone adapter for photo taking is very rickety and takes way too long to attach and adjust, there must be an easier setup but this isn’t it. I was using an iPhone 11 and could not get a good photo. When looking at the moon it does fill the viewfinder and you can make at exceptional detail, so yes the lenses and the telescope itself work, but the tripod and phone adapter are junk and make for a less than average rating. The ability to use this during the day as a spotting scope is a great feature, and also works well even with the cheap tripod. The inclusion of a backpack with compartments is also a welcome addition.

It is a very good telescope if you are starting the visual exploration in space, is extremely complete and is extremely light, I got it for my birthday and I loved it.

Is was a gift for my husband and he loved it, it is very practical and you can see very clear and beautiful images.
CoreyH –
It is not a powerful telescope. My daughter was able to capture the moon with reasonable clarity. It was not very stable with the tripod, so we plan to upgrade with a more accurate and feature rich telescope.
LiT1 –
Very portable and overall worthy, but I want the better one has 80mm
JitenderaG –

This is an easy to use telescope which would be good for someone just starting with astronomy.
user422164 –
Easy to assemble and use. This is my first telescope and though it doesn’t get as close as I want, I can still see so much more than i could with just my eyes. My niece loves it too

Got this for my son. It’s meant to hold a mobile device for photos and it kept tipping over even with the tripod fully extended. My son almost broke his phone.

“Where did the moon go?” Is what my almost 3 year old daughter asks me everyday during the daytime. To reward her curiosity, I bought this item to help introduce her to looking at the universe. The telescope is mobile and easy to setup. Its a great way to introduce the moon and stars to a toddler.
IslandOutsyder –
From the set up to the overall capability of the telescope, this is a definite buy for the any beginner and/or anyone who is looking to find a good way to start up their astronomy fascination.
