SELPHY Layout is the free companion app for the SELPHY printers that let you print, edit, and add fun effects right from your Smartphone. Now updated to V3.0, the SELPHY Layout app lets you organize how you want to print your images. - You can create collages, choose which images you want to use for mini-stickers, add pattern overcoat effects, and even add QR codes to your prints to direct someone to a specific webpage.

Most dye-sub printers can only produce glossy prints (because the final overcoat layer is glossy), but Canon has learned how to change the texture of the final print so that you can choose from glossy, semi-gloss and satin finishes. - Additionally you can Print patterns into the overcoat layer to give your images a subtle pop of texture.

Just wish it had stated it only uses specific photos paper. I thought it might print 5×7 it doesn’t not even actual 4×6 you have to use the specific photo paper that comes with the ink. At least they come together.

Such a step up from my HP Spocket. If you are extra with your planner or a scrapbooker you need this! Great quality photos and use the collage for wallet size photos. Just be sure not to get dust or a strand of hair in there because it’ll ruin your photo

It kept powering off for no reason. It was doing it after different lengths of time, and I turned off the power-saving auto-shut-off feature, so I immediately assumed it was a hardware issue. It was so bad that I couldn’t keep it on long enough to have it connect to their app. After calling Canon and being told to pay to have it shipped to them for repair, I decided to return to Best Buy. I wouldn’t buy again because I looked it up and this seems to be a common problem.

Packaged and delivered with care. Easy to set up. Picture quality is great. Pictures print out fast, not at lightning speed, but it is fast. Be sure to have a separate pack of paper and ink available to refill. The one included we went through super quick. Overall, great printer.

Just know it only comes with enough paper and ink to print five pictures. Also, you can only use Canon paper with it. Otherwise, prints well.

Took a little figuring out how to set it up with my several products, but I really like my Selphy CP1500 Canon photo printer. It prints excellent photos. I also ordered an additional compact card size cassette PCC_CP400. I haven’t used it yet, but I wanted to have the option of printing photos smaller than the larger 4X6. The 4×6 Cassette comes with the Selphy CP1500. Only a small amount of ink comes with the machine, along with several photo papers. I purchased Canon RP-108 High Capacity color Ink/Paper Set with the machine. I have only had time to print a few photos, but I look forward to using the printer much more. I am really happy with photo quality.

Overall a good little photo printer. The cost of paper for this machine is around $0.35 a photo print, which is technically about the same ordering prints at a store, however for this cost you can customize your prints at home instead. I like the app it comes with because it has formatting options to print multiple photos on one sheet, like wallet prints, etc.
The quality of the prints is also nice.
I feel like it does run out of ink very quickly though. One cartridge printed about <10 full photo sheets. Need to do more experimenting to see if this changes the average cost per print overall.

Got this as a Christmas gift for my mom. She doesn’t like completed tech and this seemed like a good fit. Easy to set up and use. Only downside is it only comes with enough ink and paper for 5 prints. The ink and paper are synced to print the exact amount and no more. Unfortunately you can’t use any other type of paper except the kind specifically for this printer. All in all still a good purchase and the video quality is good.
