I like this lens. Build quality is the same as the 35mm. Its priced higher for some reason but i do like this focal length. Images shot from my EOS RP in 1.8. Images look sharp despite me being an enthusiast at best. Happy with my purchase. Its extremely lightweight which is why i wanted this lens. Is it the same quality as an L series lens? No but for my level of experience it works just fine.

Great lens for shooting video. Love the IS (image stabilization) I’ve used it in many videos and it has great image quality.

Using the Canon RF 24 1.8 with my Canon R8 Camera. Great lens for video podcasting.

I recently purchased the awesome Canon R10 and needed a versatile lens to create my indoor videos with, along with some outdoor photography and some video as well. Then came along this recent lens offering from Canon and I chose it over the Canon RF 16mm and RF 35mm. The RF 35mm is a highly reputable lens in the lineup but was too big for my needs. I mostly use this 24mm lens for creating my indoor YouTube videos. And even in shooting at 1080p, It looks like 4K when it gets on the channel screen! It was a great choice and right now is my standard go-to lens I want to have on the ready when I need it. It was a great purchase and I don’t see how anyone would be disappointed with this lens! I can’t imagine any R10 owner being without it in their camera bag!

Mounted to a Canon R6, this has produced incredible video quality at F1.8. Previously was using the RF 35mm which is also stellar but the extra 48% FOV you get from the 24 is really wonderful. Fast autofocus in video and thr limited number of stills ive shot so far. ALSO, IT WORKS VERY WELL ON A DJI RONIN!

Excellent lens for the price! I use it for newborn photography and could not be more pleased with it.

I am not impressed with the quality of images I am getting with this lens, particularly with big group photos.
Even at low ISO (400-800), I am getting too much noise.
And I can see faces distorted at, particularly those who are at the edges of the group.
First I thought it was due to low light, but I used it with flash and day time as well. It is failing me every time. It is too late to return it but I really wish I would have bought a better lens! 🙁

I bout this lens to go with my new R5, and I gotta say, this lens is a must-have. It’s nice and wide and the low aperture lets so much light in. If you’re getting into mirrorless, this is a terrific piece of equipment to have.
