    I’m not tech savvy, but setup was easier than I expected. Easily connected to other electronic devices.

    Quite easy to set up. Works with both my phone and laptop. Quality seems good so far, and colors fairly bright. I haven’t used fax option. There are online instructions that are easy to access.

    Compact and Canon quality print make this a “good buy”. Having to lift the screen and turn on every time is a bit of a nuisance. The light weight nature of the appliance should expect some drawbacks.

    I had Pixmar that I loved and used for years….then it started with the B200 error or whatever it was and I was able to revived it twice, sadly died. So I bought this model with is very similar but slightly smaller profile and it was a breeze to set up. No troubles with wiifi etc, literally worked right out of the box–never had that happen before so counting my blessings. Heard it was ink hog so I set to greyscale and std print as a default–so far so good!!! Oh and scanner works and copier as well..

    The Canon printer prints excellent copies. Paper is loaded in the bottom of the printer, which means you must lift the control panel with the video screen up to print anything. That is pain. Also try as I might, I cannot find a electronic manual to help with things like printing envelops which must load in a tray in the back. I guessed this, but you should not need to guess this. The printer does its job and I will keep it, but not user friendly.

    I had to go on you Tube to find out how to set this printer up. The printer has so many hidden compartments. The side cassette copier does not work at all. Also the scanner does not work, but it does fax. Although, I may have to make several tries to send a fax.

    Had been recommended to Canon to replace a history HP printers that I’d been fairly happy wit,h but have had some connectivity issues in the past. This printer did NOT resolve those issues, and I found new ones. Never was able to get the scanner to work; Ink ran out ridiculously fast and was only slightly cheaper than HP’s; & could not clear out an error in spite of following online manual recommendations. I will recycle this one and choose another brand. I know I didn’t buy the most expensive printer, but as it has never functioned on an even basic level. My first Canon experience was a huge dissapointment.

    great printer for light printing.
    Only issue I found was that it was very light and with fast printing it moves the table I have it sitting on.
    scans were perfect, software interacts with windows and Mac well.

    This printer is a poor replacement for my prior Pixma printer. This printer is very cheaply made, everything is cheap on this printer. The printer will not AirPrint unless you physically go to the printer and “wake it up”, and it will not connect easily then either. So forget having the ability to print something from your phone from another room or from your laptop that is next to the printer unless you are able to physically touch the on button on the printer!
    Infuriating.
    Any time I need to print anything I get anxious because I know the dang printer won’t JUST print, it will be an involved process.
    I can’t believe that Canon has put out such a flimsy piece of equipment.
