I paired my 6D with a Sigma art 35mm and 85mm. After two years of owning this camera and using it almost every day for my photography business I feel like I need to leave a review to guide anyone looking for a reliable camera for their photography business. I specialized in Pet photography and also do a lot of family sessions and the live mode touch screen in addition to single point focus was ESSENTIAL for my pet photos! It was a total game changer! I was able to quickly and easily focus on the eyes with just tapping on the screen! I have tried upgrading to different cameras and ALWAYS come back to my 6D Mii. The colors are amazing and does everything I need it to! The one thing I wish was better it’s ability in low light. I am a natural light/outdoor photographer so I rarely needed it in low light situations, but when I did it didn’t really perform as well as I had hoped. It was definitely a lot better that my old Canon Rebel which was a crop sensor.
If you are on the fence about buying this camera I highly recommend it! It is my all time favorite camera especially for the price! I call it Ole reliable because it never lets me down!

The camera body is excellent. It was all of the capability upgrade I was looking for from my old 50D. My one quibble isn’t totally Canon’s fault – due to availability issues from supply chain problems and pent-up COVID demand, I had almost no time to familiarize myself with the camera before a long trip. Most camera functions were very similar to my 50D, and many of the rest were intuitive. That said, not having a small physical manual to refer to, and having to research the online manual with poor to no internet access made figuring out a few important settings hard to manipulate. Still, it’s a testament to this camera’s technical capacities that I was able to capture the difficult shots with less than ideal settings.

I really enjoy owning my EOS 6D Mark II camera. I am several week in and it is amazing. I know professional photographers talk about the lack of 4k video recording and Dynamic range… But do not let that stop you from purchasing. There is alot of tips and tricks to getting around the Dynamic range and if you are not a big big 4k video person, then this camera will work for you.

Product only works when it feels like it. I thought it was an issue with the battery, but I’ve tried multiple batteries that work just fine on my older camera. It will not turn on at all when I need it for sessions, and then randomly work fine a few days later. Customer support for both Best buy & Canon were zero help. Huge waste of money.
