Got this in as a freebie when I purchased the camera bundle for my daughter. She was super excited to see such a wonderful added item. It’s come in very handy in her photography business. Highly recommend this product for any seasoned photographer!

Great to extend the time you’re in the studio or field shooting.

I haven’t found a reason to use this grip. Hope this provides better grip while holding the camera. This came free with my camera and would not say no. This is just a grip and does not include any extra battery so not sure if that is useful.
Duval –
If you’re going take photos all day you need it some like it..

The user of this is in the field for shoots and this Canon EOS 6D Mark II Battery Grip has performed well, enhancing capabilities

This battery grip came included with my Canon 6DII. I feel that the extra weight and bulk takes away from the camera’s best feature …. low weight and compact size. For everyday use I prefer to carry a spare battery in my pocket.

This item came with my purchase of the Canon 6D Mark ii. I love how it works with my camera. It is easy to set up and get it on my camera. The item alone can be pretty pricy so I’m glad it was a complementary offer at the time I purchased my camera.
codplayer –
Came with the camera as a bundle, great accesory to keep shooting without battery changes.
Melissa –
It makes the camera easier to hold and comes in handy on long shoots when I need to switch batteries!
Lolek –
Love this, my camera looks very good with it and i can do twice as many pictures as i could do with my battery
KATHY –
I take a lot of photos and I cannot imagine having this battery pack. Not only is it for extra battery power, but makes the camera easier to hold on to and balance with heavier lenses.
Cdave –
Well worth the money if you take lots of pictures, price was incredible
Buck15 –
My batteries were always running low at the worst times on my 6D Mark ii.. This has help with that problem even though its adds quit a bit of weight to the camera..
Kayk –
I tend to schedule a full day of photo sessions at a time. This is a great way for me not to have to worry about my battery dying and having to take the time to replace!

Be advised you need to purchase an extra battery for this. It does not come with a backup. But since I’ve used it with a spare that I purchased the following day I love not having to worry about charging a spare or losing a charge. The grip holds two batteries and inserts itself into your current battery slot. The wheel tightens itself to the mount on the bottom of your camera and boom youre ready to go.
CamGuy –
Good battery pack with great ergonomics. Easy to install

I’m SO glad I got this grip for free with their Black Friday deal. Game changer for those of us that don’t always have time to recharge before uses.
Joy25 –
Satisfied with the purchase. Gives a lot more to shoot outdoors with so much more
Undecided1 –
Works fine. But I never use it. Limited focus points on 6d2 make this grip less useful unless you can use live view.
Techjunkie –
First one was dead out of box. Second one worked well. Adds a lot of weight and size. For all these reasons I gave 4 instead of 5 stars

I absolutely love this grip for my camera. Feels like a brand new camera
Ash233 –
Excellent purchase to go with my camera! Will need to purchase an extra battery though. But highly recommend.
CanonUser –
Not an item I would’ve bought myself, having small hands and weight being an issue. There was a promotion to receive the battery grip free with the camera purchase, so will try it and see. Nice way to try it!
Sarah –
I want sure I need this but it’s a great add on! Love that I can have to batteries ready to go and not have to stop or worry about charging before an event
Horb –
Nice and sturdy battery grip. I didn’t realize it used two batteries so I still need to purchase a second to be able to use it
ArmyRet –
Nice having longer battery life but it does get heavy for long shoots
SoccerMomRN –
Must have accessory, LOVE this thing! Love the extra battery availability and how much easier it is being able to hold the camera with separate buttons.
NakNak –
As a photographer, we go through hours of shooting and with an extra battery it eliminates the extra stress of running out in the middle of a shoot. Plus this battery grip if great for portraits because it’s easier to hold the camera if you want to shoot portrait shots. Best part was I got 25% off by purchasing 3 accessories. Definitely buying in 3s from now on.
Gab001 –
This battery grip is great. I’ve done multiple photo shoots and battery life stays through both!
CanonShooter –
This battery grip works great, but I underestimated how long a single battery would last. The usefulness of having 2 batteries installed at one time is lost on me. This is not a fault of the grip though.
Calikid13 –
This battery grip is awesome. I’m able to use it for hours without worrying about not having enough battery
Carlos79 –
Fantastic for big jobs nor time of life on the camera
Johanna –
Awesome, last all day at weddings and still has charge at the end.
jake –
this is ure best friend yes it adds weight and that bites but lets u do vertical shots easy and gives u double power and swap batteries less um yes plz
Hash –
I got this camera grip to add more juice to my camera and the results are really good.
Cons: It is a little heavy
Christy –
I have had non canon grips and they didn’t last even a year…
Billy66 –
So far this is an outstanding attachment and a must for videographers! I accidentally didn’t charge it for a week and a half. I did photoshoots and videos in that week without having to charge the batteries. I don’t recommend you do that though especially for a wedding. Over all I am happy with the attachment. It does add a bit of weight to the camera, but it’s well worth it. You might have to upgrade your tripod depending on the weight of your camera and how much the tripod can hold. If you try to use this attachment with a C stabilizer it might not fit. Again you need to check the height of the stabilizer as buying this attachment will increase the height of the camera. Also make sure to buy 2 extra batteries just in case. For photographers. This attachment allows you to shoot easily in vertical. It has the back button autofocus and the shutter button. It takes a while to get used to, but I feel it’s better for the hand.
Charlie –
If you use it for video this is what you need is really good item for it
Chromeseeker –
Works great- extends number of shots between charges dramatically over single battery. Shutter and autofocus control on the grip for vertical shots comes in handy!
jones23 –
this fits perfectly with my canon 6d mark ii and looks so nice and professional
wicho –
if your take a lot picture a day thats good for you maybe all day not need change the battery
Kwal –
I love having battery grips on my my bodies for extra battery life as well as better grip for my hands.
Weddings can become a long day, shooting from mid morning to late in the evening.. and the last thing you want to have to mess with is switching batteries. Sure it adds a little more weight to the camera, but it also gives you easier functionality while in portrait view and the camera turned sideways.
So if you need more grip or longer battery life, get the canon battery grip and not the cheap off brand kind. You don’t want you camera falling to the ground because of poor off brand quality.
Gmeier –
Very useful. Fits 2 batteries into grip. Extra life while looking stylish
Savewolves –
High quality built that gives you all day shooting capability, this is a must if you are not near an outlet and don’t have time to wait to charge a battery. As a bonus it makes holding the camera more comfortable. Vertical shooting is made easier with shutter release button on the extender.
Thefermentedphoto –
This is a great battery extended and can work with aftermarket canon batteries
Strike –
Great product for more Battery life on shoots. Never a worry on battery life.
SharnaW –
Awesome to have the option to carry two batteries for extra life. I like the way it squares off the camera body.
Dale –
This thing is simply amazing! Not only is it a grip, but it has extra buttons for you to navigate a few items on yout camera.
Maurerstudio –
Works great plus a high quality Canon grip. Made much better than third party battery grips.
NickBanks –
This is a lifesaver for any photographer, expecally if you do portrait photos. It makes it sooooo much easier to hold the camera upright!
