    I haven’t had the lens for long, not even a week, but I absolutely love it! Being a photographer on the side as a hobby is difficult since lots of high quality lenses cost thousands of dollars, but this is the perfect budget lens! It’s not too heavy and I can make up for the lack of stabilization with a tripod and an external shutter button.

    I purchased this as a gift for my sons birthday. He is still getting the hang of it but he loves it! I have seen some of his pictures and I love it too! I can’t speak on value or if it auto focuses, as I know nothing about camera lens, I did not find the price too crazy though, compared to the model he really wanted, this was a steal! He was happy with this model regardless which was all that mattered.
    I am truly happy with my purchase!

    …unless you absolutely have to have a lens with autofocus you can get a slightly older manual Canon FD zoom lenses for less then $50. These have lenses made in Japan and have a metal body and mechanical aperture.

    This isnt even one of these zoom lenses you should get as its an older and heavier model.

    This lens was recommended by the in store camera expert, Elsket.(sp) This is a great buy for price and performance. I have a new digital camera. The lens’s for digital cameras are more expensive compared to DLSR camera’s. He recommended an adaptor that allows the DLSR lens’s to fit digital cameras. It made the zoom lens I wanted for my new camera affordable. Having an expert associate I can trust keeps me coming back for consultations and purchases.

    Great product, but doesnt focus very well when zoomed to the max. Camera without the len works fine, but adding the lenses seems to affect the auto focus a bit.

    This lens is only great if your canon is sitting on something stable such as a tripod, table, or anything with little to no movement. This lens does not come with stabilizer feature so would not even atrenpt to use while you’re holding the camera… it will be a fail. Trust me.
