    I just purchased this lens after doing much research and the existing reviews convinced me to get it. I have a Rebel T8i and was looking for a long range lens for wildlife photography. I am seriously impressed with the results. At the 400mm max I shot a photo of an Osprey from about 50 yards away. In photoshop the image is 83 x 55 inches at 72 dpi. I can crop into the birds eye without any obvious loss of resolution or pixelation. Truly impressive! I was hesitant to spend $2400 on a lens but I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’d definitely recommend this lens.

This MK II lens is superior to the original MK I in terms of a much quicker auto focus along with ease of use.     This is the sharpest lens in my collection (>20). Historically I’ve went with low to mid-level lenses to save a few bucks (3rd party lenses, lower quality Canon lenses) but have never been blown away by their sharpness. But the sharpness of this lens jumps out at you. It focuses quickly and stays locked on to moving subjects like birds in flight. If I had purchased this lens 10 years ago, I would have saved money trying to find the perfect lens. This is it!

    It’s a great super zoom for daylight only shooting. The faster telephotos are prime lenses and cost considerably more. This lens will be used occasionally when the 70×200 f/2.8 does not properly fill the frame.

    I’ve waited for years to own this lens and it was worth the wait! I’m amazed at the clarity of photos that I get with this. The image stabilization allows you to capture sharp photos even @ 400mm handheld. I live in Colorado and this lens is a must have for landscape photography. It’s heavy but that’s ok because I go home with some premium photos of the landscape and Astro landscape. I have a wide angle lens as well but favor this lens because it takes me up close to far away landscapes. You will not regret buying this lens, if you have the cash then just do it!
