    was not a fan of this lens. worked ok, just thought with the pice i could have gotten a better lens. i would just purchase a 50mm instead of this because it has more use and creates a better background blur

    Nice, tiny, good efm lens. Good for some vlogging or wide angle shots. Just like all other efm lenses great for the canon m50.

    The depth of field is very good on this device. Likely not for vlogging full body on an M50, it will teach you why upgrading to full frame cameras is a thing. I use it for doing videos and it is a big step up from the 15-45mm lens. I enjoy it.

    I bought this lens because of the hype. Unfortunately I was disappointed. It’s not as compact as I thought and the lack of image stabilization resulted in quite a few blurry photos. I had to return it unfortunately. My 14-45 does a better job, albeit larger and bad at low light.

    I am very excited to add this lens to my camera collection. I was patiently waiting for a price drop and it finally dropped 50 bucks and I jumped on it. This lens is worth the full price but it’s always good when you can save!

    Excellent lens. The F/2 for close-up macro photography let you be very precise with what’s in focus, and I’m really pleased with the crisp image it produced for golden hour portraits as well. The quiet auto-focus motor being able to track a subject in motion is pretty great as well. I was also pleasantly surprised to see it recommended for astrophotography of the Milky Way. The only major draw back (other than the obvious lack of zoom) is that the electronic manual focus ring is extremely sensitive when focusing on distant subjects (like mountains or stars). You need to use focus peeking and then zoom the digital display to make sure edges are sharp because just a few degrees of rotation will go right past the focus point. For closer and mid-range subjects, its not a problem.

    This is the lens used for my mirrorless Canon as a webcam. It provides a nice depth of field and background blur. The f stop set a 2 lets in more light than the factory lens. And it is very small and compact for a desk setup. The picture is sharp with nice autofocus as to be expected.

    This lens with my M50 is a perfect travel companion! It’s much smaller and lighter than the kit lens that’s included with the M50 making it much easier to carry around. The quality is good, not as good as some of the more expensive lens but for the price, you get a lot of quality with a lens that has a small footprint. This has become my every day lens!
