    Hate to give a bad review but this is a terrible toaster. It burns around the edges and is still soft and barely toasted at all in the middle. I have tried all the settings trying to resolve. Nothing works. Just poor design. I splurged on a higher priced toaster and regret it. I was taken with the appearance. Just like bad boyfriends from my past….nice appearance but dysfunctional. Lol.

    Absolute JUNK!!!!!!

    This toaster is made to seem high quality by having a high price tag and some fancy looks. However, it is simply a cheap toaster with some rose gold colored plastic. The main button is wobbly and cheap. The stainless steel looks horrible! The finish is soooo bad!

    To top it all off… This toaster shorted out after 8 uses! In the first week this thing just died. Best Buy won’t replace it and GE Cafe has gave me the run around.

    Buyer Beware!!!

    Very overpriced. I would not recommend it at least you need to match with other café appliances.
    Works the same as other cheaper brands. I did not notice any difference. My previous cheap toaster had a “ding” alarm. This one doesn’t have it.

    Excellent toaster, worth the price. Handles all sizes of breads, buns, bagels, english muffins. Setting knob works well. Finally a toaster that actually toast correctly and does not require you to do it twice to get it done. It does a fantastic job at a little less than half way on the setting (4 of 8 settings). Fast, great look, does not heat up on bottom or feet. So do not have to worry about where you set it. We cooked 8 pieces of toast, so 4 rounds – two at a time and bottom and feet still cool. All you have to do is relax and enloy.

    Fancy looking toaster and well built, the only negative thing is that it lacks digital display, so there’s no way for you to know how much time left till your toast is done. Otherwise it’s an excellent toaster

    The Cafe – Specialty 2-Slice Toaster in stainless steel looks expensive. The rose gold accents really make it pop on my kitchen counter and it doesn’t seem to get as many fingerprint marks as my other stainless appliances. Most importantly it functions really well, it makes perfect toast that’s browned evenly! My daughter tried to talk me into getting a much more expensive toaster that she saw on Tic-Toc but I thought this one looked a lot nicer. I’m happy I didn’t listen to my daughter and got this one instead because it makes perfect toast for 1/2 the cost of the one she wanted me to get.

    Until I purchased this product I had no idea what I was missing in a toaster. I didn’t know that perfection in toasting would be out if the box. So far it delivers delightful frozen waffles and perfect toasted bagels. Even tells you how to insert bagel. Love, love this appliance!

    Hard to get excited about a toaster but this one is pretty cool. Very sleek/clean lines and does not have a big footprint on counter. Simple controls work well and brushed finish is easy to keep clean. Oh yeah, it also makes good toast 🙂

    This seems to be a high-quality, mechanical mechanism toaster with high precision controls. It does “pop” the toast up which is a bit noisier than our old failed-to-soon Breville.

    We really like our GE Cafe gas stove & refrigerator and were happy to find their matching toaster available online at Best Buy for a great sale price and free shipping. It arrived within a few days of ordering. It looks great and has a lot of features, but unfortunately seems to be defective and we will be returning it to our local store. It is the 2-slice model. We thought it might be us and have read & reread the operating instructions and tried sandwich bread, English muffins and bagels. We think the heating elements on one side are the problem because they barely glow as brightly as those on the other three sides and it takes several minutes for anything to pop up regardless of the darkness control setting – and when it does, it could be barely warm or blackened.

    Looks great and seems well built. Works better than some cheaper models tried but does not toast as good as previous similar price Breville toaster (which lasted about 3 years before the internal wiring started burning). Could be 5 stars if it makes it more than 3 years!
