The printer has been reliable, but the User Interface is very poorly designed and non-intuitive. Also, the extent of low-ink marketing messages, which make the printer temporarily inoperable, qualifies as harassment. I’ve been used to more expensive printers, so the very limited capabilites are also an issue for me.

I’m very happy with my printer. It was easy to set up and didn’t have any issues connecting to my home network. I’ve had it several months now and it has worked well. The print is very clear and sharp. Having ink tanks is great! I’ve printed over 100 pages and haven’t had to change out an ink cartridge. That was my complaint about every printer I’ve had in the past, having to replace expensive ink cartages every 100 pages or so . I highly recommend this printer!

I’ve had this printer for a month and I absolutely love it especially compared to the HP I had before it. Set up was painless for me and the printer speed is just fine for my needs. My HP are ink like crazy and ran maintenance all the time. Thai printer has yet to run maintenance(not sure if it will) and has hardly used up any ink in the month that I’ve had it. I don’t print a ton but I’ve been printing 6-8 pages a week so far. No complaints for me yet.

I don’t use the printer that much, so I’m not such a good judge, but it seems to work just fine. This printer replaces a previous Brother I had, and I was a little disappointed that the new printer didn’t come with the same touch screen (made the printer really simple to operate). The standard size paper of 8 1/2 x 11″ seems to be the largest it will accept for scanning, so that’s a limitation. Finally, it seems a little loud for a printer. On the other hand, it prints regular black-and-white documents very quickly, so that’s a plus.

I ended up returning this before using it because I would have had to reorient too many things in my small home office to accommodate its footprint. The cord and cable locations weren’t the same as any of my previous printers and once I started opening and expanding trays and feeders, it just wasn’t going to work. More worrisome, every time I moved any parts on it, I was worried I would break them because they’re all seemingly made of cheap plastic. It went right back in the box. Maybe if you have a bigger dedicated space for it, it will work for you. Not me.

The alignment and print quality on this have been horrible. Lines are always broken and light. Tried auto cleaning and auto alignment, and it always just say “Failed. try again” Based on reviews and articles, thought it would be an excellent long-term investment. Very disappointed.
