A very compact printer and no paper tray sticking out, it’s all inside. Perfect for home and maybe small office.

Nice black and white printer for the money. Purchase it at Best Buy rather than Staples since their return policy is much better. The replacement toner cartridges are very expensive($45 and $60) for the regular and longer lasting cartridges. But all replacement cartridges are expensive.

Nice printer but when you replace the toner it’ll die. Figure the price of the printer and the price of the new toner and you’ll be about fifty cents or a dollar per page. And you’ll need a new printer.

It’s a great printer. Only complaint is that it doesn’t come with the usb cord needed to connect the printer and your computer. Had to buy that separately. It would make it a bit easier if it was included with the printer but oh well. Other than that, solid printer.

This printer is a great printer 5 stars for a working printer. This was shipped from Brother with NO cable to attach to my desk top computer, thus 3 stars. I called B/B to get info on the correct cable to buy, I looked up the cable he told me to order and it was WRONG. I bypassed Tech Support and got the correct help from a nice lady. She needs a promotion To Tech Support, I needed a working printer and was made to wait forever 🙁

Amazing printer that just works. It definitely uses a lot of power when it activates, causes the lights to flicker like as if a vacuum cleaner was turned on haha. But that’s only while printing. I have it connected to a Raspberry Pi using open source drivers for ARM. Works wonderfully, and the prints are super detailed.

The speed and quality of the prints is the best I have ever seen. Its prints on both sides without you flipping the paper like an office printer. I work from home and this saves time and has saved me money. I wish I would have chosen Brothers first. This is only a (black and white printer). I replaced my HP printer with this after I couldnt print after changing from the mail catridges program, which was costing me $20 per month to print. Shipping was prompt, as always with Best Buy.

Objective –
An affordable Monochrome (Black ink only) basic printer. Fairly reliable and user friendly for home and smack office use. The only drawback to this specific model is that it does not make copies. I did not know that when I purchased it. I assumed that all new generation printers, regardless of cost, made copies. So, it was shocking to me. I will keep it as a basic B&W printer without “bells and whistles” and no WiFi since I do not require this. So, I recommend this model printer to those that may match my basic printer requirements.

I got tired of the problems with the various ink-jet printers I have had in the past. I don’t print much, and not that often, but the ink cartridges would dry up or smear. I thought I would try something different. This doesn’t cost much more than the ink-jets, and so far has worked great. I did give up having color, but I was happy to find this does automatic two-sided printing

This printer is a work horse. Just through a Epson printer. The personality that recommended it should go to Brother printers.

Printer is working just fine, but if you have a Mac OS beyond 12.X.X, you will need to download an old driver (CUPS) because the Brother iPrint&Scan app will not work within applications.

I reviewed, my goodness, easy 50 printers on utube. Finally chose this Brother laser printer. No – won’t scan, no won’t do color, no the printed pix are pathetic but it will print out text like fall leaves in a blowing wind and they are as good as it gets !
If you can live with those limitations … Grab One. I couldn’t be happier with my finally purchase.
