SuperScanner –
The absolute best scanner I have ever used. Fast, easy, outstanding.
Makis –
very bab firmware. Today I bought it tomorrow I will return it.
Logitech –
Really easy to use and set up was a breeze. Has all of the functions that I needed including the double-sided scanning.
Dashue –
This Brother Wireless Scanner is so small and light, it looks as though it couldn’t possibly get the job done, but so far it has done so with style. The fact that you can use it wirelessly would I’m sure be very useful to some, and its battery power means you could even travel with it. Naturally, its size dictates that you can’t really go beyond letter size, but that’s not an issue for me. And the benefit to that small size means I can just keep it right on my keyboard tray all the time even though I only use it once a month or so. There is no paper tray — paper must be fed on sheet at time, so it’s not for heavy-duty use, but I do like the fact that you can feed the paper straight through or divert it vertically.
The software that comes with this unit is just a bit flaky. For example, if you put the source doc in one step too soon, the scanner thinks it has a paper jam and you have to start over.
Overall, I’m quite happy with this product so far, especially at the price that I bought it.
Gina –
This Brother scanner is awesome! Very clear on the computer.
Mandolin –
Worked with my Mac and also Windows laptop using the downloaded Brother scanning software. It also works with the built-in Windows scanning program. This scanner will scan both sides of a letter page at once, which is really convenient for me. Quality of the paper scans is high – I use it to scan mostly office documents for my small business. Highly recommended!
Dmagiera –
Great, High quality scanner. Works great for scanning documents, is fast and reliable. No issues with speed or quality. Mobile app works great.
rockout55923 –
It is a good scanner but only does one page at a time but both sides but it works good for what I need
Angel –
Being able to scan both sides at the same time is an amazing time saver. This is a wonderful machine. Highly recommend.
Debbie –
Love it. Small and portable. Scans are great quality
Foster –
A little tough to get started with the software, but once going seems to be a great scanner!
CMOLL –
Easy to use. Need to start to store pictures somewhere else than my drawer
Trish –
great scanner with a variety of features.
the scanner is light amd easy for travel
Cspenser –
So far scanner works great on PC and mobile devices
bw2007 –
Works great, no issues. Definitely recommend this brand.
Happycustomer –
I love that scan printer, the customer service was excellent
hardnose –
It’s nice that all these beta testers got a free product and inflated the rating for this thing, but now I’m left holding the bag thinking should I trouble with returning it. The usability from start to finish is so frustrating. Like at tax time, you need paper scanned to digital, and it’s stressful.
Enter this worthless piece of crap. Hard to install, hard to start, hard to accomplish the fundamental purpose it is intended for. It’s pretty much 98% manual and unintuitive. Do not buy this crap.
Okanagan –
Decent for the
Money spent, seems pretty easy to operate.
wontworkwithchrome –
will not work with CHROME. now I am stuck with a scanner that I cannot use and I have wasted $180 dollars that I do not have to wast. !!
RHILL888 –
I have been looking for a scanner to compliment my Laser printer in the office. After alot of looking, I settled on this model. I am glad I did. Easy to use, scans duplex licenses, docs, etc. Wifi included. Nice small footprint when there isnt alot of space, about similar size to a 3 Hole punch. So far so good.
JoeD –
Love the compact design and it has made two sided scanning a snap.
Compact design makes it super easy to take anywhere.
Software is simple and easy to use.
kj99 –
Works really well. Better for documents than pictures. A dust speck can put a streak across multiple pictures unless you’re checking it every time. Really shines when you use it freestanding and SD card. Just ram those documents/pictures through and it’ll scan at least 200 4″x6″ photos on a charge. PC software lets you automate some scan settings, which is also nice. Wifi has been a bit of a problem, but it’s probably a WSD issue, just like my network printer.
Dezynjedi –
Works well for what we needed it for. Compact and efficient.
Dieselman –
Love this scanner, I have never had such a useful, compact scanner before this one.
Jorgge –
very easy to setup on your computer or phone can take with you anywhere
Twoods –
Initial setup was a process, but once it’s up and running you’ll be good to go from there on out. Very high quality scans. Definitely recommended.
SelfieStud –
This little guy rocks! With duplex scanning and great-looking photo scans, what’s not to like? Super easy set up both wirelessly and usb.
MimiPetit –
I own a trucking business and this was a perfect item for my drivers to scan proof of deliveries to me with now hassle. No more retaking pics and bad phone quality. I would recommend for drivers.
SamanthaMG –
Needed a wireless portable document scanner for work and for my genealogy research. Good option. Sturdy build, duplex scanning, easy setup, and works great.
I also purchased CSA3401 Optional Carrier Sheets (2 pack) directly from Brother for scanning damaged documents or delicate documents. A must if you are scanning receipts. Also useful when I am scanning documents for genealogical research. I don’t always have to lug my Canon Lide around unless the document is extremely fragile or bound.
RET70 –
Bought it for my wife. She loves how easy it is to use. Likes how it does not take up space on her desk and the file system program it has. She is able to scan and file with ease. The only problem that she has encountered is, it gets Jammed every time you start to scan your first copy after that it is fine. So she opens the scanner and closes it and then it works great. She plans on calling Mfg. To see if she is doing something wrong!!! But she loves it !
thehun –
Works ok. Doesn’t always grab the paper and feed it through. Can take a minute to get familiar. I would spend the extra money and get the ones with a feed tray.
Snowy –
Best product to help scan documents on the go ! Highly recommend
danijwms –
Everything except the right adjustable feeder guide (too loose) is just what I expected and need in this device. Love that it is wireless, chargeable and has the memory card option.
Shawn –
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it works great
Newman –
We love our Brother Portable Scanner! We bought 2 of them and use them all the time at our office for the many documents that we need to upload to our cloud file system.
cjcv –
Bought this for my home office – and it works really well. My only complaint is the app that is installed on my Surface computer. You can make presets that the scanner adheres to. I had around 7 presets. The app would update and they all disappeared so it was very annoying. Otherwise, it’s a very easy product to use. I’ve even brought it to job sites and it worked smoothly and quickly.
aisa –
So far, it is ok
it has to be connected to the computer to have it work
Casey –
The scanners is wonderful when you get it to set up properly.
Marcus –
None of my chargers can charge this scanner. The Anker charger didn’t work on this thing. My uninterrupted power supply also can’t charge this scanner. The battery only charges when it’s connected to the USB port on my Wacom pen display. This is a very frustrating situation. I don’t understand why this scanner doesn’t work with my chargers when everything else charges just fine.
Another annoying thing is the connection. Its physical data port is the same one you can find on one of those old portable hard drives. It’s not even a MicroUSB port. So, don’t lose the data cable. This thing would be much easier to use if it had a USB C port.
The scans all have rows of thin straight lines across the entire scan. The lines aren’t visible in darker areas but they can be seen in the lighter or white areas on the scan if you zoom in on the scan.
As we all know, Brother’s drivers are a hit or miss. They might work. They might not work. It depends on your operating system and version. Mine doesn’t want to work with my Macbook Pro on wire connection. The only way to access the scanner from my Macbook is to use it in wifi mode. Horrible user experience. The driver can detect the scanner in the scanner selection menu. But, when it comes to actually scan the document, the software suddenly says it cannot detect the scanner. Go back to the scanner selection menu, it can still detect the darn scanner! Why Brother? It’s like you’ve ordered your food at McDonald’s. The staff gives you your tray, then take the burger away and tells you they are out of burgers. Why???
Gene –
Does everything I wanted in a portable scanner.
Love it. In fact, I’m thinking about buying a second one.
Jerome –
This is great scanner. I have a disability and this is very easy to use.
Technot –
Great single sheet, duplex, portable scanner. WiFi set-up and continuity of WiFi connectivity is problematic. Good value scanner overall if you don’t need bulk scanning capability.
WQfamily –
We have a larger scanner that is part of an all-in-one printer-copier-fax machine. This scanner was purchased for easy quick scans of one or two-page documents (single or double sided) and receipts from the desktop. It has worked really well and we are glad we bought it.
PatriciaC –
I purchased this to have at work as an alternative to going to another office to scan a document. It is so easy and FAST to use. Single or multiple pages. I read lots of reviews since I had no previous experience with mini scanners. I would spend the money over again to be able to get the job done without leaving my office.
Scanner –
After charging the machine via usb port on the computer& download the drivers from brother, worked great for standard size paper, both sides on one run.
ThomasS –
Don’t buy this scanner. can’t scan a receipt over 15″. Then it stops and says the paper is jammed. Then have to turn it off. Don’t buy it.
VickiB –
This is a handy and versatile scanner. It comes with software you can use if desired, but even as a stand-alone scanner writing to a micro SD (<=32gb) card, it is easy to use and convenient. Get rid of all of your extra old receipts and papers easily. Is not like an auto-feeder on a larger scanner which will write one PDF from multiple pages, but for 1 or 2-sided items, it writes high quality PDF (or other formats) files.
Jim42 –
Absolutely excellent scanner. Works great with my Mac and my windows PC. I can use it wireless or plugged into my computers. Scans one page at a time, then on my screen, I can say the next page is page 2, or 3, etc. to create long document. I read the directions online and now I understand it all.
MsQuinn –
I love this scanner waay better than the HP Brand scanner very similar to it in size but not manner in which they work or shall i say workflow. The brother scanner is used in my business and honestly does the job perfectly everytime.
MohammedI –
Excellent duplex color scanner. Very easy to use. Although it has Bluetooth option, I use the USB connection for easy and quick use.
