Excellent scanning device for students and professionals. I wish the software allowed me to edit the PDF’s after ceation and I wish it also had a feeder forease of use with mutiple ducuments. But overall I’m happy with my purchase of this mobile duplex scanner

The scanner on my printer just took forever to operate, and I’m doing more scanning these days, so was looking for something better. Well, this is it. Small desk footprint, simple to set up and operate, and faster than heck. USB-3 I think. Speedy. Very happy with this model. Tried the one with Wifi first, too quirky and more complex. This is perfect.

Very nice scanner. Use to scan business receipts. Also scans large full pages. Scans on both side of paper at once. Will probably buy another to use at home.

I love this little scanner! I originally wanted a battery powered one, but this is so simple! It just plugs in via usb to your computer and that powers it…practically wireless. My only complaints are: 1. that the glass gets dirty and you have to clean it more often than I’d like. 2. Smaller pieces of paper (like some receipts) won’t go through it, but I got a few carrier sheets and it works like a charm!

Installation wasn’t a problem, but I didn’t like the feeding method or software. Send one sheet through at a time and press the button on the computer screen to send each additional sheet through, Too awkward. Went with the Epson Workforce ES-200, much more user friendly.

I really like Brother products. Finally upgraded my flatbed scanner with a compact portable scanner. Brother DS-740D scanner has some different scanning options, so it took a little time to try them out.
Duplex feature is great if you are scanning photos with written comments on back. You can scan two images – first being the photo and the second being the back of the photo.

Solid little machine. Disappointment in right adjustable document feeder guide. Should be made with some resistance. Slides too easily. I did return this item as I replaced it with slightly better model that is chargeable and wireless. The feeder guide on the more expensive model is very loose and moves too easily as well. Both produce good quality scans, and would have kept this one if price had been the sticking point.

This is the third DS-740D I’ve owned. Scans well and the speed is decent. The duplex feature is fantastic to have on the road. I wish the unit was a little less prone to jams though. But compared to other models available, this unit is great.

This scanner does exactly as described. it is compact and easy to use. I am happy with the purchase. I was not a fan with the function of the receipt software that it comes with but the business card software is very helpful and the scanner has many helpful features.

The directions to load the driver on my computer were easy to follow. This device can scan small documents like receipts up to a regular size piece of paper. I was able to scan and save about 10 pages easily and I have never used a scanner that was not also a printer. It does require scanning and saving each page separately as far as I can tell. It did exactly what I needed and won’t take up much space. I recommend it.

Very easy to use. Quiet when scanning. But when i james, there i no reset button, haveto unplug usb to plug back in to reset the ham.
