This was the worst purchase ever. I am two months into my initial purchase, and I have already gotten a factory replacement from Breville because the grinder stopped working after a day of use. While the replacement machine seemed fine and functional the first night, the grinder stopped working again the next morning, exhibiting the same issues (loud noise as if something became loose in the machine; grinder is unfixable even after thorough cleaning the the vacuum) which Breville themselves deemed to be manufacturing defect. Please, save yourself the headache and avoid this machine. BestBuy was also extremely unhelpful and refuse to assist me.

Was surprised to open it up and find everything i needed to easily pull a next level shot of espresso. Once you have it dialed in with the beans of your choice the machine doses automatically and pull the shot automatically keeping the morning routine quick. Loving it so far.

I personally own the Barista Pro at home but enjoy using his because I’m more of a fan of the pressure gauge – the barista express impress has that quality. 5/5 love it.

We’ve had a great time with this small but impactful machine. We’re a few weeks in and my 4yo pulls about 2-4 double shots a day on it…. On his own. It’s that easy to use. I have to help him fully push the portafilter all the way in (tight seal) but its such an easy machine my son can use it. We love it! We dialed the shots in to pull ristretto, as we like a shorter shot, and it was pretty easy to do. My husband and I used to own a coffee shop and are pretty picky about our coffee. This has been a wonderful add to our household. The auto leveling tamper can seem unnecessary, but I’m telling you … If you can swing the extra cost it’s totally worth it. Very fast, satisfying, and keeps a clean countertop. Highly recommend!! Oh, and the steam wand makes beautiful microfoam. I recommend also getting a tamp box for your spent grounds. We got the Dreamfarm Grindenstèin in red and love it. Looks sharp and is super helpful. Happy espresso’ing!

The Breville Barista Pro offers some really great features for the at home barista, and coffee enthusiast, such as the Thermojet technology and the four hole steam wand. The unit requires some patience to get dialed in, but once you have down, it makes some amazing coffee. If you dont want to learn the craft of espresso, you may want to consider the Breville Impress version because it takes out a lot of the guess work. One thing I learned about this unit is that there is an “inner” grinder setting which I needed to adjust to get the correct grind for the coffee I was using. After watching many videos, and a lot of wasted shots, I think I’ve got it! Overall, I am very happy with the unit and would recommend it to others. A few upgrades I wish the unit would come with is a lever instead of a dial for the steam wand control, a bottomless portafilter, and a dosing cup. Hope this review helps!

You can really fine tune almost everything about your espresso, the fineness of the grounds, how much is ground up, how long the extraction takes, it’s amazing, you can really get the perfect cup.
The steamer is awesome too along with the hot water dispenser.
My wife and I have always tried buying the cheap hundred dollar “espresso makers” from other stores and nothing quite reached the quality we were looking for until we went with this and we’re definitely happy we did! It feels like we’re getting the real deal now!

Fresh beans are Very important. To get the right amount of creame and a good balanced flavored espresso, minor treaking of the grind is needed.
