- Carbon Dome Tweeter
Carbon Dome tweeters deliver a dramatic improvementon the aluminium double dome tweeter, raising the breakup threshold to 47kHz, for pinpoint imaging accuracy and detail. The closest performance to our Diamond Dome Tweeters. - Solid Body Tweeter
Our redesigned Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing. A more elongated form incorporates a longer tubeloading system to produce an even more free and open sound. The decoupled housing is milled from a single solid block of aluminium to better resist resonance. - Continuum Cone
Continuum is a woven composite that blends control with flexibility. The result is breathtaking clarity. Hear voices, guitars and bass instruments with precision and transparency. - Biomimetic Suspension
Biomimetic Suspension revolutionises midrange cone performance by greatly reducing the unwanted air pressure and coloration that a conventional fabric spider can generate. The result? Midrange transparency you wouldn’t believe possible. - Decoupled Midrange
The Continuum midrange driver is mounted on a shock absorber, ensuring minimal interference from the operation of the loudspeaker’s bass drivers. Less noise means greater clarity. - Aerofoil Bass
Advanced computer modeling carbon fiber and a syntactic core are used to produce a cone with maximum stiffness where it’s needed most. This optimised shape means the cone displays pistonic behaviour further up the audible range, producing precise, controlled and utterly lifelike bass. - Curved Baffle
This allows the midrange and bass drivers to be located in individual housings that sit proud of the speaker baffle. When combined with the curvature of the structure, this approach reduces the audible impact of the cabinet, creating a cleaner, more open and more immersive sound. - Magnetic Grills
Each model includes magnetic speaker grills. - Finishes
This model is available in Gloss Black, Mocha and Satin White.

RotelBWFan –
I could write a book already about these Bowers & Wilkins 702 S3’s even though I’ve only had them for a week. Let’s just say I wasn’t slumming it with using B&W CM10 S2’s prior to these but…the presentation these things offer is many steps up from the CM10 S2’s.
The entire musical spectrum has transformed into a much more detailed, refined, focused & airy but also solid “painting”. Since basically every component making up the 702 S3’s are a major upgrade from the CM10 S2’s it certainly makes sense that these offer a greater soundstage and impact. The trickle down tech from the 800 Series greatly benefits this latest version of the 700 Series making it inch ever so close to performance that once was only available in the 800 Series models. Well done B&W.
Driving them via a Rotel RB-1582 MkII power amp with 200wpc and preamp/processing duties handled by a Denon AVR-A110, the sonic picture is impressive big & beautiful.
I can only imagine how these speakers will open up and blossom even more as I get more hours on them.

I had the choice between buying these speakers or paying for a kidney transplant for my girlfriend. I’m going to miss that girl. But I love these speakers!!! They do require a solid amp to power them, as they are power hungry, (using a Hegel H390) to power the pair, and my Marantz 6010 is powering the rest of my home theater. I’m hearing things in songs I didn’t recognize. The sound stage is beautiful, deep and dark. Also, these speakers blow away the previous version of these in the series, so if you’re debating between the S2 and S3 and can afford the S3, get them!

Great speakers looking forward to a bigger amp to push these

asian guy wanted out
AudioNote –
Strong highs with good bass extension. Sound stage is not as wide which limits the seating for the sweet spot. Notice they need a powerful amp or they start to sound a bit muddy at lower volumes. I noticed this at the store when they were powered by a Mid tier AV Receiver but when I got them home and hooked them up to my dedicated amp. They sounded more detailed at lower volumes.

the title is a little self-serving but these speakers are striking sonically with an open and deep sound stage and depending on your music style have surprising bass.

Upgraded from the B&W 694 series. Paired with the new Marantz amp10 in a 5.2.2 system. Couldn’t be happier. I’m a loyal customer for life!
MarkS –
Incredible front home theater speakers. Paired up with B&W CM9 as surround speakers. Phenomenal audio experience.
SusanT –
Great sounding speakers. Wish I had purchased them years ago.
ArtofSound –
This BW 702 S3 is so balanced and can play many types of music. The sound stage is open.
Buyer –
Best speaker for the price (got them on discount). You will need a good solid amp to make these shine, get a 300 watt per channel amp.

The sound coming out of this speaker will not disappoint you – the quality and built are on the high side – have them for almost a month and they keep impressing me.
Will defenetily recommend them
