These replaced and aging JBL L-1 Set of speakers and man what a difference. These B&W’s are far more dynamic. I thought it was new purchase illusion so I set them up side by side and the B&W were clearly superior in sound and dynamics. I have these as my PC Speakers attached to a Carver TFM 15 (100 Watts @ 8 ohms) and the Video games and movies have a new life..

Crisp clear sound as loud as I want to go. Great for bookshelf, but need subwoofer, which brings me to…
Linn –
Very nice speakers. Good sound and good looking. I didn’t keep them though as they weren’t better than my 40 year Linn bookshelf speakers. I thought there would be improvements made.
BobK –
Great sound from a compact speaker. The more I use them the better they sound. They take a few hours to break in.
Rplester –
Awesome speaker
I wish I built my stereo around the speakers
Mark –
Fantastic for the family room. Completes the surround sound system very nicely. The salesman was good and gave me a great recommendation
Wilson –
Great speakers would recommend them to anyone that has a smaller space but wants great sound
MSC64 –
These sound great but a bit lacking in bass.Paired with the 10 inch sub by Bowers and Wilkins they shine.I am using them in a bedroom set up…..13 by 13ish room.I am no huge audiophile, but to my ears they sound good.I came into a bit of money so felt like a splurge, and these are on the lower end of high end speakers, but they work for me.
Unknown –
they sound good as they should be. Stand with B&W quality.
Satisfied –
These speakers are fantastic!!! They have the same specs as the 706 S2 speakers with a little less low frequency. This OK because I have a SVS SB-2000 Pro sub-woofer.

Don’t get them by themselves. Great quality. Need to be paired with a system.
Dclee –
Skip these speakers and look for something else, especially in this price range. I suppose B&W sells these due to name,

I initially went to Best Buy magnolia Center to listen to tower speakers. After scrolling through the selection of speakers on the floor I decided to take a listen to some of the bookshelves in the room. These bookshelves perform exceptionally close to floor standers in the lower frequencies but far more articulate in the higher frequencies.
Most floor standers that I demoed still required a sub to be used. When combining these bookshelves with a subwoofer I felt there was absolutely no compromise in filling the room with high-quality definition in tones.
My purchase was based upon the use of predominantly listening to music, in particular vinyl. I feel the speakers paired with a proper sub deliver a very enjoyable detailed listening experience. If you are looking for a home theater or house party volume levels these probably will not fit the bill. However if you are looking to listen to music at modest volume levels say 60 to 85 dB then I think you’ll be exceptionally pleased. The only downside I see in the speakers is that the highs can be slightly ear fatiguing on certain recordings and music types.
However rolling off just a bit of treble from your source can tame this. Pink Floyd remastered albums sound amazing through the speakers as do more vintage vinyl such as Boston, Devo, New order, ELO, Van Morrison, and Tom waits. Poorly recorded albums will not be enhanced by the speakers; for example albums like Weezers Blue album are unenjoyable as the frequencies are grouped in a very narrow band. For home theater the speakers do a fine job however I am not Into movie listening experience like others may be. Hope this helps

These speakers rock. They are small but solid and they pack a punch. They sound great. Perfect for a book shelf or small room. Don’t let their small footprint fool you. These speakers are phenomenal!
Sandra –
Speakers work great. Sounds like I’m in a movie theater when we watch a movie with these
Mavrick –
The speakers are just perfect for the size of my library. The size of the speakers fit in my space and gives me a nice sound.
Kdillinger –
Great speakers all around. I have owned Bowers & Wilkins for 15 years now. The only knock I have with these speakers are the covers are magnetic and are easily knocked off. Would prefer the old way they are connected.

It is such a pleasure to listen to these speakers. They replaced an old pair of Paradigm Studio Monitors. I also added a pair of B&W ASW 608 subs. The combination easily outperforms my Paradigms – of course, technology has changed. The clarity and overall sonic performance of the 600’s is very straight forward and clear. I look forward to listening to the B&W’s every chance I get. They always seem to put a smile on my face. It is important to have very good music content – like hi-res audio or vinyl as the 600’s will bring out lesser quality audio and make it even more pronounced of the inferior audio recordings.
Quickery –
These speakers are no joke. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a serious audio setup. Sound quality is on point, bass sounds great even without a subwoofer, and I have absolutely no complains. Get these if you can afford them, you’ll have them forever!
BoonBoi –
These speakers are better than I thought they were going to be. I knew they were going to be stellar but not as stellar as they actually turned out to. The 606’s are the real deal with the transition away from a Kevlar driver. I do not believe there is a better pair of bookshelves for this price
javaman –
Without doubt, the best speakers I’ve ever owned. I used B&W for my home cinema when I lived in the UK, so was delighted to discover I could buy them here.
Lockheed –
Have read rave customer reviews about this product but a mixed bag from expert/audiophile reviews. So, I’ve decided to try this out and hear for myself and compare it to my existing ELAC debut 2.0 6.2. After listening for more than a week with different music and movies, I can say the difference between the 2 speakers are not significant. The ELAC sound is fuller and better at low frequencies. At high frequencies, this 606 S2 offered a bit more clarity. There are instruments that are more pronounced in B&W. At higher volume, there were songs that the B&W start to show its harshness and unnatural sound at high frequencies which confirms what some expert reviews has heard. Overall, this is a great product but decided to keep my ELAC.
MojoJojo –
Speakers were a little bit bigger than i imagined but they deliver sound only bowers can deliver.
David –
This is the first time I purchase b&w speaker and luckily I got the anniversary version that has upgrade from regular one with reasonable price. This pair is fair enough for my regular use!
JustATech –
I tried these speakers for about 2 weeks. I played different types of music from Latin (Salsa, Jazz, Merengue, Rock, Vallenato, Bachata and some more). Also some Rock, House, Trance, Dance, Rap, Hip-Hop, Soft Pop, Classic Pop and some more.
I really like the sound of them until the songs require a good amount of base… then they just could not handle it. Muffle would be the word I would use. The tweeter is a little bit better than the one on my Polks. It lingers a little bit longer… you can definitely hear and feel it and I like that from these speakers.
I will definitely replace my 10 year old Polks if I find something better. Next, I will try the 600 Series 3-way Floorstanding.
Note.
All of the music I tried on these are CD Rips: FLAC in 44.1/16 and some online purchased in 96/24.

Replaced my 30 YO Infinity tower speakers, technology is amazing these tiny Speakers are amazing. Also paired them with a B&W sub.
Bigcoyote1974 –
I am truly very pleased with the speaker’s. The speakers are a great value! You can not get a better deal for the price.
Skipper –
Great sounds and easy connections. The front magnetic covers do fall of with the slightest touch.
MuffinMaster –
These are fantastic! Such a huge upgrade from my old Polk Audio 40 Series II speakers. They match fantastic with the other B&W Anniversary Edition speakers.
Highly recommended!
Higg –
I am happy with his products and would recommend his product from purchase
Tom1 –
these speakers look great, and sound great. they a little small than my old ones, which takes up less space.
Bobnbob –
Perfect size. Great sound. I was nervous about sacrificing sound quality with bookshelf speakers, but I am quite plesed with this purchase.
KatJ –
I love these, very good quality sound. Works very well with a subwoofer
ryguythetryguy –
I have seen many reviews saying that the 606 S2 Anniversary Editions were too bright and may cause listening fatigue, but that has not been the case in my personal listening experience. I have always been a fan of a brighter sounding speaker with more treble, and every pair of speakers I have had (whether it be a car stereo or my other bookshelf speakers) I have had to turn up the treble a significant amount to sound clear enough for me. These are great out of the box, but I expect them to get even better with time as this is the case with most speakers. Bowers and Wilkins is known for their signature sound, and these also apply to that “V” shape that they are known for. These have excellent highs and great lows. Perfect for me.

BOWERS Speakers are Awesome Sounds Great Very Happy with them
Concealmentkit –
I bought these speakers to expand my home entertainment system. I enjoy both music and home theater on a salesperson’s recommendation. Also, my purchase was based on other favorable reviews. Although I found the speakers to be quite good in many respects. I found the “high end” to be too forward and pronounced. I thought that a lot of what I listened to through these speakers was characterized by a great deal of sibilance and harshness (almost painful at times) high end. I found that I had a hard time listening to anything through them for an extended period of time. They definitely were not my cup of tea so I ended up returning them.
JDBL –
I’ve tried many bookshelf speakers, including the often suggested Kef Q150, Klipsch RP-600M, JBL studio 530, Polk Lsim703, and Emotiva B1+. I prefer these B&W 606 S2 over all of them. They have really full bass, smooth mid-range, and detailed treble. There’s just a magic to their sound that is so addictive to listen to!
LBBombadeer –
Really pleased with these speakers! The sound quality is nice and plays a variety of genres well. Good range, though I’ll likely add a sub soon.
Geek squad did a great delivery and setup!
Stan –
They say it is too bright, but I like B&W sound. Maybe it is my hearing, but I also like SH HD600, which seems to be a legendary standard. These speakers match my 683 nicely,
EthanG –
Very good condition wasn’t expecting this good condition condition is good
Acero –
1st set came defective and taking a while to send the next set
WilliamH –
Better than expected will be happy to recommend Best Buy for all of your tv and stereo needs
Dennis –
I tend to listen to music more than watch TV, and I read many reviews on these saying these are great for music. Upon listening to this set now for a few weeks, I agree everything sounds crisp and clear.. I do feel they tend to be a little overly bright, but I was able to adjust that on the receiver. Overall, great value.
CraigwR –
a little bright but not broke in yet, good bass for its size. might want to consider the s3 instead.
DonaldW –
Great service I’ll recommend to everyone on my Facebook of 15k friends and family.

It was worth it waiting for the right time to buy I got a super Best Buy deal open box great condition these speakers are spotless and will recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality speakers, my CM5’s are now 10 years old and never had any complaints, looking forward for more than 10 with my new B&W speakers.
fred –
They have a very crisp and detail sound. I am very impressed.
NickF –
Great bookshelf speakers for surround sound and for 2 channel stereo music listening.
CharlesP –
Top quality… at the price offered. Clarity and sound is exceptional especially if paired with the same model center channel….Ideal for a typical living/family room as these are bookshelf speakers. Far superior than the typical satellite speakers. I did add a Sonance subwoofer…and a pioneer elite receiver…result is extremely satisfying whether watching a movie of listening to music! Highly recommended.
HomeOfficeErgo –
I’ve auditioned these in the Magnolia section and these are the speakers that I loved.
