These speakers are worth every penny. They make all music sound great. I have had them for 3 months and I love them.

Over the weekend I spent some time in BB testing outdoor speakers ( each brand set up on the wall next to each other and hooked to the same Yamaha amplifier/CD). Being a former musician, my ear is very sensitive to the sound quality and I was really astonished to hear Insignia speakers for $78 blowing away Bose and Klipsh for $300 range. Don’t get fooled with marketing hype, they sounded way worse. Juts hear it for yourself at any BB store.

These are really great speakers. I use them in my work van. I have them on a 200 watt amp with a powered subwoofer. they sound great. Anyone would be satisfied with these speakers in car or home.

This is my third pair of Bose speakers that I use in our outdoor garden. First pair was twelve years ago, second pair six years ago and now the third pair. We expanded the garden and needed the music. All of the speakers are still working and are left outside all year. It is a delight for us to work and enjoy the garden all year around even in the harsh Ohio winters. Who knows, the fourth pair may come next year.

Initially got the 151s for a new patio installed and sounded very tinny with minimal bass. I exchanged for the 251s and noticed a huge difference. 251s have substantially more bass with a very full sound!!!

I had a pair of Bose 101 speakers outside for almost 10 years mounted on the deck, they performed perfectly, unfortunately being outside through Rain, Snow and summer heat took its toll and they were DOA in the spring. I wanted another pair of equally good sounding speakers to replace them and have been a Bose fan for a number of years. My expectations were set by the previous pair, and knowing the the open landcape of a deck is an acoustic challenge for any speaker. I ordered the Bose 251 speakers expecting the same or better sound quality and an easier mount/removal, as I will probably pull these in for the winter months. The 251’s are perfect. The sound is crisp and even in an open landscape there is sufficient bass to my ears. I like the hand tightened method for securing the speakers to the deck mounted brackets, which will make removal and remounting a snap. All in all I’n very satisfied with this product, its a winner.

The 251’s have been installed on the ceiling of my patio and are accompanied by a pair of Bose Freespace speakers around the pool. I have it all driven by the Bose amp and fed by the Soundtouch bluetooth integrated devices for a total Bose outdoor solution. Words just cannot express the sound quality and listening pleasure as an audiophile that my family and i are experiencing!

Bose quality lives up to its brand as extended to outdoors. But, also with the typical Bose price tag. For those that don’t want to leave their listening experience to doubt that price definitely provides assurances. …Not exorbitant, just a premium for quality.

It will be nice that Bose come out with an outdoors speakers with bluetooth built-in with rechargeable batteries and a +connect feature like the portable JBL speakers so you can paired as many speakers you want outdoor without any wires and the need of an Amp/receiver. Life will be so much easier.

I have two sets of Yamaha speakers (Model:NS-AW390WH) and then added these to my backyard. What a difference they made. Brought a bunch of low end to the yard and can handle everything the receiver has to offer. The Yamaha’s break up but the Bose just get louder. Might have to look into getting one more set of these to complete the sound system.
I’m running the system in 7 channel stereo, with the two Bose as the main fronts, pair of Yamaha’s as the high front channel with the remaining Yamaha’s as the rear set.

Have had them a few weeks out on a 35’x30’ deck facing a windy marsh, about 12’ high. The sound is phenomenal- what I expected from Bose and a bit more. Great frequency range for all types of music! Easy to mount on siding, easy to connect and disconnect with banana plugs. One flaw – the mounts allow for vertical adjustments only, can not direct them left or right so you have to fanagle your mount to set up a sweet spot on non-square spaces. If you think you need two pairs like I thought, you should try one pair first!

Bose never disappoints with regard to music reproduction and overall sound. Having said that, anything that requires set-up and their app is another story. Luckily, these speakers don’t require any app, though I did hook up the SA-5 to drive them. Result is awesome sound!

Crips and clean. I Daisychained these with the 4 speaker outside Sonos system and saved a ton of money. The larger 8 speaker Sonos system was twice the price. These speakers outshine the ones included with Sonos by far!

I purchased these to replace some older Yamaha speakers in our garage, that still worked but wanted to upgrade. These are no exception to the Bose standard, beautiful speakers with an awesome sound!! I was leery after reading some of the reviews but having a set of am10’s in the house for many years, I knew they had to sound great. I was surprised at how large these are, they look massive hanging on the wall, but I am not complaining!! I also bought a new Onkyo receiver to power them and what a difference. They have a very sturdy mounting bracket that holds the speakers securely to the wall. The highs are very clear no matter what power level, it’s like standing in a sound stage. They have plenty of bass also for the size of the speakers, overall, a very rich sounding set of speakers. I can only imagine how they would sound outside; in fact, I may purchase another set just for that. I wanted to get the black ones but weren’t available at the time, no regrets with the white ones though. Very happy with the build quality and sound of the 251’s, I would recommend them to anyone looking for an outdoor/rugged speaker with great sound!!
