  1. Jeff

So i recently renovated my house and decided to splurge on a built-in coffee maker. After a lot of research, I decided to go with the Bosch Coffee Machine. Yes this is a bit pricey, but when compared to the competition, this is about $1000 cheaper.

Like most other built-in coffee makers, you need to talk to your cabinet maker before installing this. But once you do, it’s awesome! The machine grinds up the perfect amount of coffee beans. There’s tons of different coffees to choose from (espresso, cafe late, macchiato, etc.) You can also control it with the Home Connect app and download other types of coffee brews from around the world. The machine itself is not plumbed so there’s tons of flexibility if you can’t run a water line to the system. Instead, it has a water tank that you refill. It stores 1lb of whole coffee beans. It also store milk for a few hours (though I always take the milk canister out after I use it).

My one love/hate characteristic of this machine, is that it needs to clean before/after each use. Cleaning itself is great, however, when it cleans its pipes, it runs water through the spouts. So, if you want to use the Home Connect app to make coffee and you already have a mug in place, it will spew residual water into your mug before it brews the coffee, which of course, is not ideal. You can remove the mug and let it drip into the tray before you make coffee, but doesn’t that defeat the purpose of using the Home Connect app to make coffee if you are away from the machine? This annoyance, however, does not take away from the machine as a whole.

I renovated my entire kitchen but I have to say, this is the thing I am most in love with! It looks great in my kitchen and works wonders!

My husband and I LOVE our espresso machine so much! I also love that we can use ground coffee as well! The absolute BEST thing about this machine is the quality (taste of the coffee) !!!!

This machine has a serious problem with the DOOR, the technician just changes the door and still has the same problem It doesn’t close very tight so I can not make coffee. The technician will check again in few days if it doesn’t work they are supposed to give an espresso machine.

After owning several espresso machines this is by far the worst of all of them. When the machine was functional the quality of the frothing was very poor, the machine adds a lot of water to the milk giving capuccinos, macchiatos or lattes a terrible watered down taste. The machine started malfunctioning just 6 months after light use. The measures went out of calibration and the frothing also started malfunctioning. We haven’t had any luck being able to contact Bosch for repairs. That said, We also got a Geek Squad protection and it has been an extremely disappointing experience. Best Buy is pushing us to go to the manufacturer the first year even though we invested in the protection plan to avoid being in this situation. Overall extremely disappointed and would not recommend.

I bought this machine about 6 months ago. It already starting giving me problems and has stopped working, This is my third time taking it in for service. Not worth the money I spent.
