    It does what it is supposed to do but installing the drivers, which are conveniently ready to be installed from the adapter, slow down my computer a little and make the laptop fan work harder, and the image in the monitor attached to this port are not so smooth and you get a certain delay when moving windows around. It might be a good option if it is to be used for steady screen, such as text or pictures, but not good for video. I have put it away for now and will plan to replace it with the HDMI to USB C type shortly.

    I thought it was usb to hdmi but it’s a display port, so for anyone who needs to connect to a laptop this isn’t the product you need.

    i bought this for work and was an open-box item and but did not work at all. it was either broken or defective. i had thrown away the box immediately which was my mistake so i couldnt return it.

    I am only giving this adapter one star for one reason. The details on the BestBuy site is misleading. Many customers have purchased this adapter to go from a laptop to a monitor. It’s not clearly explained on the BestBuy site that the laptop requires the DisplayPort and the monitor requires HDMI port. In my case, it’s the opposite where my monitor has the DisplayPort and laptop has the HDMI port. I spent hours on research and troubleshooting only to discover it’s incompatible. I also believe that this adaptor is only compatible with DisplayPort++. However this is an assumption since it never worked for me.

    My suggestion to BestBuy is to clearly explain the adapter’s directions. The box came with no directions on connecting or explaining the directional input/output of the adapter.
