- World transformed by disorder
In 2042, extreme weather events and resource conflicts have shifted the balance of global power. The United States and Russia stand at the brink of war, while a mix of Non-Patriated combat veterans form independent groups known as Task Forces. - Vast and dynamic environments
Get an even greater sense of spectacular, large-scale war on seven massive maps – crafted through a revamped design philosophy. - Each battlefield has multiple distinct combat areas housed in a single playspace, and this extra space means more variety and more meaningful vehicle gameplay – tanks have more space to roam, fighter jets have more airspace to maneuver.
- Cutting-edge arsenal
Unleash your combat creativity through a full roster of cutting-edge weapons, vehicles, jets, helis, and all-new equipment inspired by the near-future of 2042. - Specialists
Choose your role on the battlefield and form hand-tailored squads through the new Specialist system. Based on Battlefield’s four Classes, Specialists have one unique Specialty and Trait – but the rest of the loadout is fully customizable. - New seasons, new content
Themed around new narratives, Seasons will bring content such as Specialist soldiers, locations, weapons, and vehicles. - Up to 128 simultaneous players
For the first time in Battlefield’s history, 128 players can join the all-out war at the same time. - * Conditions and restrictions apply. Loving it!!!! this is for sure a step forward from bf5, great game.
Jano –
Only reason i managed to even download the game was from a comment under the other 1 star post explaining you have to put key code into origin to redeem game for download. Email instructions claim you must download game from digital library which is far from the truth and customer service didn’t help at all and wasted 45 min of my life for them to tell me i had to pay $40 to download the game after i already paid for it lol just ridiculous, someone please listen to that recording of my call and use it as a reminder of what not to do please

Take the digital code in the digital library, go to origin, click origin in the top left, “redeem product code…” works as it should.
showed the error: We’re sorry, we’re having trouble accessing this download. Please call 1-888-BEST BUY(1-888-237-8299) for assistance.
Don’t let this scare you….works fine

Will show error message saying to call the 1 888. Do not waste your time. It needs to be redeemed through Origin. The help number do not know this. They are zero help. I found this out on my own.

The bones for a good BF game are there, but as it stands currently this aint it. But what else is new. If you can get this 50% off it might be worth it.

This game was complete garbage, its riddled with bugs, it took 2 major updates for me to even be able to play a full match that didnt glitch majorly or even crash. I played a match where i couldnt see my guns in my hand nor see the vehicles others were driving which made them seem like they were floating. Its missing many of the fun features that the old games had on top of that. Do not recommend

I get it fast but the game wasn’t good it okay. Jj

So much potential wasted. I upgraded my PC in hopes of being able to play this game smoothly.

This game is bad… The game launched with very few standard and essential first-person shooters features, and now almost 3 months after release they still haven’t added basic features. There is no scoreboard functionality, for example. So while you’re playing in the middle of a match you have no idea how you compare to the rest of your team, or the enemy team. In what world does that make sense to anybody? Who asked for that feature to be removed?
The developers of this game (DICE) appear to have no control or direction for this game. I have never felt so much regret for preordering this game. I guess it serves me right, paying for a game without knowing how it would turn out. This will be the last time I’ll preorder a game.
Unfortunately I am outside of whatever return policy Best Buy has for digital video games. This game has been out for not even 3 months and it has already gone on sale – that is have bad it is.
This game is unplayable. I purchased it in November. Played it for a little over two hours and immediately uninstalled the game. It is worthless to me. Do not purchase this game. Do not purchase a DICE game ever again. Do not preorder big titles anymore until you know how the game turns out.

Solid game. At launch the game got off to a rocky start, as do all Battlefield greats. I have faith this game will become one to remember. Most of my games purchases are digital these days and I do appreciate the ease of that.
TechGuru –
Great graphics, game play is solid and lots of different game type play enough to suit any gamer. Load times are slow so you have to be patient.

As someone who loves Battlefield and has been playing since 1942 I can say this years release has been a total letdown. Even when you try and enjoy the game you’re constantly coming across scenarios that simply make the game unplayable such as enemies not loading, being unable to re spawn, being unable to aim vertically, weapons switching randomly, etc.. With this amount of bugs, broken weapon balancing, lack of VoIP, terrible UI and progression system issues; this game should have definitely been delayed..

Thanks to the patches this game now playable. After so many months, the game feels like it is delivering its initial promises. Sad to say it took too long and too many patches to get there. It is still fun, but BF 1 is still the superior BF game.
AZsamuel –
Can’t use a joystick in this game, which means you can’t pilot any aircraft. Completely worthless on a PC.

I am liking Battlefield 2042, it is easily better than COD which is so dull, glitch ridden and regurgitated. Rainbow 6 never got it right after Black Arrow and Vegas and don’t get me started on the PC gamers wet dream Fortshite which is fun if you have a PC, the higher FPS which allows you the advantage over console gamers hands down. Battlefield 2042 gives you a few other titles such as Bad Company Rush, 1942, Battlefield 3 so good value for money as well. The game itself is a massive improvement on 1 and V which like my ex girlfriend showed promise to begin with but got boring after a year or so. It has it issues granted but the positives that will follow in patched will most certainly outweigh the negatives. People are often too quick to jump on the negative bandwagon , don’t read the back page and tell me you know what the book is about you have to read it page by page.
Battlefield gives you the experience that Bad Company did as well as Battlefield 4 which were class. Half of these reviewers probably weren’t playing the earlier games but I am happy with what I am seeing at the moment and will continue to play the game without demanding a refund.
Keep up the good work is all I gotta say to the developers who worked through a pandemic to deliver this title and will continue to do so to give us the patches and season passes over the next few years I imagine

The game is okay, it has its issues. Buying it as a digital download was nice and easy.
