    Super easy to use with audio alerts to tell you when to stop blowing. Screen displays BAC within just a moment or so. Quality is good, but definitely doesn’t feel “high quality” if that makes sense. The hardware is incredibly easy to use, but I’m giving 3/5 stars for ease of use because I couldn’t get it to connect with BACtrack’s proprietary app no matter how many times I tried.

    First, the product was delayed a few times after I ordered it. I ordered it on 1/8 and received a few emails about returns and delays, but not one of the actual delivery date to track when it arrived. Second, I obviously then had wait until I was going to drink to use it and when I did, I found that it does not work AT ALL. I took several readings over a weekend and the numbers were all over the place. It went from a .02 to a .8 and then back to a .02 and then to a 2.2 within a small time frame … and similar results were given the next night. Third, when I came here to return the item, the site says that it needed to be returned by 2/4 (I for sure didn’t even get the itemed delivered until at least 1/12, so what is that date based on?)….and now I am out $74 and there is nothing I can do about it.

    this device seems to be very accurate. i have checked it’s readout when i have had nothing to drink and it reads all 0’s. i have also checked it after drinking 2 regular light beers. form what i have read 1 beer is around .015%. after drinking 2 and testing 15-30 later this device had readout of .03. seems very accurate.

    Without access to a professional breathalyzer I can’t in good conscience give it 5 stars. Barring that, this product is great. If you find inconsistent numbers, odds are you’re not using it correctly (and possibly drunk). Use it as a guide not an absolute. Compact and easy to use.

    I’ve bought two of these and they both have the same issue now after 3-6 months of owning them. They drain a battery completely dead in about 5 minutes and get so hot that I’ve had my leg physically burned by the unit. Not only do they pose a fire and burn hazard, but, as with all breathalyzers, the more you use them the less accurate they become. There are times where I know I’m under .08 because I only drank 1 24oz 12% drink 6 hours ago but it would read over .08… I still have both of my malfunctioning units, I think I’m going to make some videos on them to spread awareness for the dangers of owning one of these. Drink responsibly and don’t burn down your house with one of these.

    Works pretty accurately, it’s a good tool
    To use just to make sure you’re not over a limit and think you can still drive. Prove you wrong for your safety and others!

    Kinda expensive for what you get, it’s a little plastic keychain that is never accurate. It always gives a different result.

    This thing is amazing and it is pretty accurate. It’s also great for parties. Everyone can test to see where their BAC level is at. This way they can determine if it is safe for them to drive, or to wait longer. I can’t believe I didn’t have one of these sooner in life.

    This works very well and fits perfectly in my front pocket when I am out. I have had the readings double checked with other breathalyzers and it is very accurate.

    We have only owned this breathalyzer for just over three months, and it is already failing. The device kills a AAA battery in less than the course of a day. It also supposedly gave a false positive – the user swears they did not drink and a second breathalyzer (also from bactrac) read 0.00%, while this one read 0.014%. Will be contacting customer service as this is an expensive unit to fail so quickly.

    The unit does everything that it’s advertised to do. It’s good as a just in case if you plan on driving after drinking. Its only an assistant to you and your judgement. Use wisely.

    Works great and is pretty accurate. Only problem is the mouthpiece is removable and if you lose it a drunk person will have difficulty blowing into it. Keychain ring is super convenient.

    I like it, it works perfectly without any additional tools. there is a beep sounds that tells you when to stop blowing, that is cool, specially when you are drank. My only worry is the accuracy, I don’t have alternative ones to test that, hopefully someone does it in the future.
