Quality and look are great. Never owned a bottom loader before and have to say it makes life easier. Only thing the rod that’s inside the 5 gallon vibrates every time water is dispensed or pumping out water to fill into the tank. You kind have to play with it. If anyone has this issue and has solved it. Some tips would be great.

Purchased this dispenser online, picked it up yesterday, brought home, unpacked, installed and… Unit looks excellent, well built, packed in the double box, stainless steel surfaces protected with thick film. So every function is working well except the main one – cooling water. In my case the process of cooling water doesn’t stop, as it supposed to stop in couple of minutes. It keeps going on for hours until the unit gets really hot and I believe at some point there is the risk of fire. I had to turn it off. Avalon suggests not to return it to the place of purchased I have written them email but they conveniently do not answer any emails on weekends so I’m here without cold water and without my money with dead water dispenser in my kitchen. I will edit this review as soon as Avalon will answer.

The Avalon Customer Service is outstanding! Before I decided on purchasing an Avalon water cooler I contacted their customer service several times with some questions. They quickly responded each time.
Set up was quick and easy. Instructions for operating and maintaining are professionally written. The unit is incredibly quiet when running. We purchased the A14 electronic model with touch button control. Just a light touch and it dispenses water. Even the child proof hot water button(s) are easy to operate. Touch one button, a red-light comes on, touch the next button and bingo, Hot Water.
Solid construction, very well designed. Practical single spout design. Simple and easy to load/unload bottle. The water bottle tube is a snap to insert and remove. The unit completely drains the bottle, leaving only a couple of ounces in the bottom, due to bottle bottom design. The self-cleaning feature is a definite plus.
Only problem we had was a loose front panel, above the door which affected the door as it tended to open, working against the magnetic door catch.
I contacted Avalon and Customer service Tiffany, “Customer Success Expert” was exceptional. I explained the problem to her, she asked me to send her a photo of the problem area. She quickly got back to me saying it was a manufacturing defect and they will be sending out a replacement unit. Received it a couple of days later and everything is perfect.
Five stars for Tiffany and Avalon customer service. Thank you, Tiffany!

Packaged very well. Works as expected. Cold could be colder hot is steaminge hot. Mechanics of the cooler seam to work very well and it is well built. I also love that the rod that sits in the water jug is made of stainless steel. Good job Avalon.

Even though this is more expensive than other ones I considered I’m glad I made this choice. Looked more better built from pics and so far it has been just that. Family is enjoying it. We use to buy the water bottles frequently and a lot goes to waste. This solves that problem. Had hot, cold and room temperature which some of us like.

It Would’ve been better if it came with the stand. With out the sand, feels like little short. Loose drip pan. My 1-1/2 years old child pulls out easily.

Easy to use, easy to refill. Saves on bottled water as I get my gallons filled at Whole Foods. Was grateful I had this when we had a chemical spill in Philly. We were advised not to drink the water and the stores were completely sold out but I was prepared. Hot water is a great feature for teas and oatmeals. Easy to clean too.

Works very well with standard 5 gallon jugs. Super easy to use and assemble. Arrived with a broken hinge and was replaced immediately. Only issue is that with my square stackable jugs it leaves a decent amount of water but says it’s empty and I have to re seat the piping to finish the rest through the machine. I’ve used it quite a bit and have had no issues. It keeps the water cool and fills reasonably quick.
