I purchased this adapter to connect my TV to my audio equipment, specifically my LG sound plate. As they had differing connection ports, the adapter was need to complete the connection. It was easy to install and worked perfectly. Please do carefully examine your equipment connection ports to see if you need an adapter to connect an audio cable, and to assure you select the correct adapter.

The cable that is supplied with my tv connector for my hearing aids has a toslink plug that goes into the TV and the mini optical plug that goes into my tv connector so that I can hear the tv through my hearing aids. However for my wall mounted TV with cables running through the wall, I needed this adapter so that I could use that audio cable to plug in my TV connector. Has worked great for several months now.
Lisamo –
Found what I needed with associate help. Worked perfectly
Bryan –
The perfect little gadget to go between optical and toslink, audio still sounds perfect
Bombi –
but price is ok. AudioQuest mini optical cables seem better built. I have a Cinnamon Mini-to-Toslink optical, and it seems to sit/fit better. However, this is a cheap fix, and very decently made.
LGsoundbar –
This easy plug and play accessory easily convert optical audio input into older model standard headphone jack. Very easy to use and little to no distortion and sound quality.

DanTheman –
Great for connecting your 1/8″ headphone jack with TOSLINK capability on a MacBook Pro/AirPort Express/Google Chromecast Audio to the optical in on an AVR using a standard optical cable.

It’s just what you need, like it’s not even there. Sound is crystal clear. Great piece.
Bigbattle –
This adapter was exactly what I needed to connect the soundbar to my TV.
Alex –
not sure what to say other than it works. I guess it’s a little expensive
Buckshop –
I thought this think would convert an optical out to be used in a regular 3.5mm in. It didn’t, so I’m returning it.
andreww –
Works exactly what is expected for my MiBox. Enjoy listening master quality tidal music now.
Aarav77 –
I was cheaper option then buying whole cable, I connect it with my existing optical cable and worked wonders.
MrTJC –
I was trying to use for my Sonos sound-bar and Mac book. Once i plugged them in headphone port the speaker would not recognize there was a source.
Fira –
Did not do the work I bought it for . Not worth it.
CarGuy –
This cable worked as expected although I had to have an adaptor to make it work on the Echo that I used it on
Glenn –
No problem with this item. Had to return because it was the wrong size. But good nonetheless.
RAXVCM –
This product came in handy when my monitor did not have a opt out port only 3.5mm jack this was perfect. Ease of use on all scales
Zach –
Did exactly what it’s supposed to do, and seems like good quality.
Pacsman17 –
I had originally bought a cheap one on amazon. When I connected my toslink to the amazon one, it would slip out. The audioquest adapter holds the toslink securely. Teh cable snaps right in.
Musiclover –
Had feedback through the cable. Took this back to Bestbuy!

Makes the end of a thing smaller. Used this to have a digital connection from my Chromecast Audio to my integrated amplifier.

Didn’t know they make this. What a life saver! Bought a new t.v and this was the missing piece to make it all work.
Dusty –

Lostranger87 –
Worked for my Xbox to lg sound bar setup. Would recommend to anyone with this specific spdif hookup attachment.
GreatTV –
Unfortunately this adapter did not have a plug end long enough to reach the internal connections on my older TV. The adapter appeared to be a quality piece, it was just too short to make the connections.
Mmathdh –
Great devise when needed, no complaints with it!!!!!!
ICode –
Didn’t work for what I needed it to work for. The 3.5mm is super slim and doesn’t actually fit in a 3.5mm jack. It feels really cheap also.
jenk –
Just what I needed from Best Buy what can I say another problem solved with your assistance
ADel –
The item worked as it should easy set up I would definitely purchase it again
Sjmm –
It did not work for me. I was told by the sales person to plug it into the optical cable then plug into the headphone jack on the tv, for my sound bar to work. Well it did not work.
Lizberto –
Optical adapter, this is working good but you can find a better option
SteveM –

I believe this is just what I need, but have not been in the valley so have not actually tried it. I was able to pick it up on my way out of town. Everyone at the store was very helpful. Thank you.
