Do not waste your money on this cheaply made product. It is not as sturdy as prior external monitors made by Asus and the settings button has fallen off. The button is gone and Asus will not replace it.

Please make sure your equipment is compatible with this monitor before purchasing, it didn’t work with my phone, tablet or laptop even though they are fairly new. However, once I upgraded each device it does work well. The only issue I currently have is that the touch screen doesn’t work. Not a huge issue but if I pay $400+ I expect everything to work seamlessly.

This thing is awesome! The battery is my only issue. If it depletes it stops showing anything until it’s charged back up. I would rather it start pulling from the device it’s connected to until it’s recharged.

The monitor looks beautiful. It’s got a sleek design that’s very pleasing to look at.
Pros:
Matte screen prevents glare
10pt multitouch (why? I don’t know, but you can use all your fingers if you need to operate this)
Battery powered so you don’t drain your laptop battery.
Thunderbolt capable so your laptop can charge it while using it as needed, and you only need the one USB C cable. (It comes with a shorter Thunderbolt capable cable so if you want a longer one make sure the cable is capable of power and data transfer not just one or the other.)
Great quality resolution (1080p) This might not seem great but I upgraded from 720 on my old laptop. If you need a 4K monitor good luck, this isn’t for you. I have the LG Gram 17” which has a slightly higher than 1080p resolution but lower than 4K resolution and it still puts out a crisp clean image.
Cons:
The magnetic cover is not the best stand for a touchscreen monitor. It’s not terrible by any means, but you do have to be a little more on the gentle side. (Or maybe I’m just to ham fisted.)
Comes with a stupid pen as a (secondary?) stand. I don’t understand the point and I think it’s dumb.
The menu isn’t touch screen and is a little difficult to navigate. It has a small joystick button to open the menu for monitors settings, once opened you have to use the joystick to pick and choose your options. Not the best design but also not terrible.
If you have a laptop that’s not a 15.6” 1080p res monitor then the transition between the two is a bit weird. Everything still works well and looks good but you do get some weird scaling between the two monitors.
Overall I love this thing. I have yet to try it but my main reason for getting it was to use as a secondary monitor for drawing.
I also use it as a lighting programmer. I can have one monitor that’s touchscreen for faster navigating while doing preprogramming for my shows.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I know there’s not a lot of reviews for these and nowhere to really test them out. (Or at least not that I’ve found.)

Recieved this item yesterday and it was delivered well protected and well packaged, the build quality is pretty good and I haven’t noticed any damage and so far it’s working flawlessly with no lag. Keep in mind the touch feature does NOT work with apple/iOS devices and you have to install the zenscreen and display link apps to use with android devices, it comes with a case, hdmi cable, charger, pen that’s a kickstand and stylus and a USB type C to USB type C cable. Overall this is so far a great portable monitor for more productivity, schoolwork, gaming etc and I recommend it.

I bought 2 of these monitors. Their look is great and sexy , but internally they have issues . As we speak Im dealing with Asus service dep. and Im tired of it . One of the units I have got a problem and was not turning on at all . ( After 4 months ) . Contacted Asus they asked me to send it for them , and they replaced the Mother board and screen !!! … Guest what , after 2 weeks same problem again and I sent it again for them and waiting for result . As I mentioned they look beautiful, but not last long at all

This beautiful touch-screen monitor was an addition to my MacBook Pro (2019 model). Note that the touchscreen only works when booting with Windows on my Mac. When working in Windows, I can have Zoom running on the laptop screen, with a whiteboard (requiring touchscreen) running on this external Asus monitor. Makes it easier to work from home. Quality and performance are great so far; hoping it will be reliable for years to come.

This is the perfect addition to my Surface Pro 6. The resolution and picture quality are great!

It’s a very light screen, with a pretty good build. Unfortunately on the first day the touch feature quit working. The monitor would recognize my phone as a USB-C with DP enabled, but touch wouldn’t work.
Had to return and found reviews stating the same issues.

I work on the go — at home, in coffee shops, and at the office. This monitor is very thin and lightweight and I carry around two of them to always have a nice setup no matter where I am!

So I bought this on May 27 and just over a month later it will not work. It shows it is connected to the computer but the display will not stay on and the power button lights will not activate to even show that it is on. It won’t charge and it won’t even turn on when the buttons are pressed. What a piece of crap. DO NOT BUY ANY ASUS PORTABLE MONITOR. Of course this happened just after the one month return deadline so i am out of luck now.
SoftDev2010 –
Is clunky, two cords required to do touch screen.
Stopped turning on after 3 weeks. Research proved its a common problem and asus sends multiple replacements. Not worth the money, will be cool when it actually works
Garcia91 –
If you don’t want the big and bulky monitor. This is light and very easy to function. Excellent quality.
MrNight –
OMG, best portable monitor ever. I never though that the screen be so clear and the screen is so clear.
Gacs13 –
if you need a second screen for your laptop, this is the product, i think the quality of the image of this screen its better than much laptops in the market. is awesome
Neal –
Great product but I am having some issues with may macbook like touch screen.

Broke in less than 3hours! I really enjoyed it at first. It worked well with my Dell windows laptop, Google Pixel 5, and Chromebook in my initial test. Then while working with the monitor on my Dell it went purple. I then checked it on other devices, purple on all of them. Even the monitor boot screen is purple.
I see multiple other reviews with similar issues. There is clearly a quality issue. I was hopefull those issues were a fluke, but it’s not based on my experience.

Awful A waste of money. I like this brand they usually make good products for example their Laptops. Keep in mind this thing has NO WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY. I think it should at least have Bluetooth.
For the price it is not worth it. If u want touch screen then go for it.

Great portable monitor with an excellent picture. Battery and speaker are a nice bonus. Pricier than other portable monitors and a bit difficult to use, not so user friendly. Needed to get an adapter to connect to a surface pro, which added to the overall cost.

Exactly what I needed for my Pi 4 / retro gaming setup.

CON:
-Screen touch is not working while connected to adopter. Why?
-Audio is average, not the best
-Flexible stand with pen is not user friendly
-Navigation button not the best at user friendly
-Times out before laptop
PRO:
-Clear view
-Not too bright
-portable
Over, overpriced for the features. great asset to have of portable second screen.

I bought this for my daughter’s birthday and it has been the perfect addition to her laptop for her travel work needs. It’s simple to set up an works perfectly. The display is clear and easy to read and the colors are true. She doesn’t use it for gaming or anything like that, so I can’t comment on that area.
