Bought this to replace one of my older Samsung 21″ monitor that started to have a bluish tint to it. I bought this specific brand because it was reasonably priced and that I also own an Asus TUF Gaming monitor for my xbox 1s that I really like as well. This monitor is hooked up to my MacBook Pro mid 2012 laptop via thunderbolt/hdmi as the primary monitor.
The 24″ size is perfect for daily web surfing, multi-windows opened, streaming videos, and photo/video editing. The color is vibrant out of the box and has some great features that can be changed depending on what you’re doing.

Replaced an older 24in monitor with this one. Image quality is great and love the 16:10 aspect ratio.

Guess i was lucky i managed to get this monitor (currently sold out- btw, BB has to stop displaying items that are sold out and can’t be bought! it’s a lame bite to get site visits).
I’ve been waiting for U2415 to be available in BB since forever, and got tired of waiting. Completely by accident i found this Asus monitor and decided to get it instead. Someone on Amazon wrote that it’s as good as U2415 and i can attest it- it looks better yet (I’ve had U2415 but it broke).
It’s phenomenal. 16:10 ratio. Razor-sharp, crisp text display. Evenly backlit. No dead pixels. 3 years warranty. I tried to fine tune calibration OOTB, but always ended up returning to the factory reset- It’s one of those few times when Asus nailed it. One con is the speakers.. but hey, as crappy as they may sound, at least they exist!:) (unlike U2415 and other alternatives).
at $199 – GET IT. you can found it for even cheaper out there. Buy new, for the outstanding warranty.

Now with COVID, I’ve been working from home 100% as per company guidelines. I got tired of using the small monitor on my laptop and have difficulty especially during video calls with our team of 40+ so I needed a monitor.
This has been great! I can change from landscape to portrait and so adjustable, including tilt to make it comfortable and ergonomically sound.
My eyes feel much better and should have bought this early enough.

Great monitor for the price. Easy adjusts to any position needed.

Despite what the specs say, there is not a DVI input. There is a Display port, HDMI and the ancient analog VGA. Many may not think this is a big deal, but check what your graphics card can output first.

These monitors are absolutely great for any creative that wants 16:10. I have 4 of these between two workstations.

If you’re looking for a proper budget monitor look no further. I did quite a bit or research before making this purchase and the color rendition is really good without calibration. As a photographer, I still wanted to fine tune calibrate it and I couldn’t be happier. This mixed with the New M1 Mac silicon, editing has been 4x faster.

Perfect monitor for your work needs. Does the job for the mentioned resolution i.e. 1200 X 900.
GoCatGo –
Good quality display at an affordable price. Easy setup. Menu system could be easier.

Bought as a gift for my partner to use as a second (non-gaming) screen while gaming, as well as for work, and he’s really happy with it. Everything looks beautiful on this screen, and it has all the features we needed. A little pricey, but in this instance, you get what you pay for.
TommyE –
Beautiful image quality, and a great price. Very happy with it.

This screen is pretty comfortable to work with if you are managing multiple creative projects! When I connect my wacom tablet I can just easily change which screen I decide to work with, but I personally prefer mirroring displays as it adjusts the ratio pretty well. There is multiple color profile settings and I’d say that the standard mode resembles a phone’s screen, colors are more saturated and brighter than my macbook air.
The sound is alright nothing too advanced, my laptop has better speakers, but I prefer using bluetooth headphones so it doesn’t really change much for me.
I love that I can adjust the height of the monitor and rotate in any direction, it makes it easier to adjust my eye level when I switch to standing desk.
Overall a pretty good screen for designers and artists 🙂

A very budget friendly and durable option for color accuracy for editing. No issues so far, love the extra sound and USB features

This is a nice display and easy to setup out of the box. Attaching the base was really easy and requires no tools. I was a little afraid it’d look and feel cheap since it is a budget monitor, but it actually feels premium and looks nice next to my Mac Mini and space gray MX keyboard and mouse. I connected the display using the included HDMI cable and have had no problems. The color accuracy is really nice and the picture is sharp. I was afraid I’d picked wrong going with the 24” over the 27” but it actually looks great in my small space. I’m able to work with windows side-by-side for school easily. I have played The Sims 4 and Stardew Valley on this monitor and have had no issues with refresh rate, although I’m sure you’d want a different monitor if you play more than casual games. The only thing I’m not a fan of are the buttons on front. That said, I can see why the display was designed that way. They’re easy to get to and use with decent tactile feedback. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase.

Superb screen for the price. Brightness is excellent, as is color accuracy. Doesn’t support HDR, but is better at SDR than many monitors that do. The stand is truly great, more adjustable than nearly any other I’ve seen. It’s not made for gaming, but it’s FreeSync compatible and works just fine as long as you don’t need a high refresh rate.

I bought this for my daughter. She absolutely loves it. She loves how it rotates and the colors and clarity.
Invictus –
This is a fantastic monitor for anyone, but I would especially recommend it for digital artists and video editors on a budget. It has full support for sRGB and Rec. 709 color, and it comes with a handful of other color profiles for more vibrant colors, low-light environments, reducing eye strain, etc. The little bit of extra screen space granted by the 16:10 aspect ratio is great to have and works well in both landscape and portrait orientation. The overall quality of both the panel and stand is far above what you’d normally get for this price. My only (minor) complaint is that it does not come with a DisplayPort cable.
Bigtoe101 –
Great monitor this is the second monitor I tried and I found it great color great picture and I like the different things you can do with it the tilting the height adjustment and all the different ports best monitor under 200 in my eyes
FlyAwayJay –
I’ve been looking for a good quality, but inexpensive monitor for video editing for a long time. I didn’t get the 4K version because I just didn’t want to spend quite that much, but I couldn’t be happier with this monitor. It’s stand is very flexible, so you can position it however you need to for your setup. Intelligently placed USB ports make it easy to plug in a wireless receiver for your mouse or other devices. I’m impressed with the color accuracy, and this monitor does not have any color banding that I have noticed, which is really important for creative work. While you’ll get a tiny bit of ambient reflection in a well lit room, this monitor does not have major “glare” issues because it has a matte not a glossy finish. If you’re in a creative field and you’re on a budget, I HIGHLY recommend this monitor.

I really like the size and the way it displays color. I plan on getting a second one soon so I can have an even larger workspace

Purchased this to work with my Mac Mini. Worked well right out of the box. Took me a little experimenting to use the menu and presets. I’m primarily using it for family photo editing but it would be great for design work. It doesn’t have a built-in camera, which might be a negative for some, but I use a laptop when I need a camera. Very solid feeling and sleek design.
Madmags –
I use this monitor with all my adobe programs, accurate color and shadows for retouching.
esther –
good color accurate monitor for artists or anyone really

Working for a marketing agency, part of what I do is QC for everything that goes out to clients. With this monitor I am able to see if colors match and are correct, and edges are crisp, so any abnormalities are seen.
I really like that the hub cuts power when the monitor goes to sleep. So things like my laptop cooler turn off automatically when things are asleep.
Ergonomics are great, can get the monitor at the position I need.
I also thought the 1200 pixels high was a gimmick, but now I understand. I can leave all the on-screen controls up when reviewing video.

Have used Dell 16×10 monitors for years. My Ultrasharp 2410s served me well, but they were becoming a bit long in the tooth and I wanted to replace them both. Looked quite a while and settled on this one. specs seemed good for the price, and hard to find a good 16X10 that includes pivot, which was essential for me. Got them in and set them up and I was floored. The brightness and color rendition on these monitors is phenomenal. The whites on this monitor made my Dell’s whites look positively grey. I do wish the bottom of the monitor’s bezel was thinner, but I can live with that. I highly recommend this monitor.
LBop –
Excellent color and clarity! Best monitor I’ve owned. Easy set up too. Came well packaged. The big screen requires two people to manage the unpackaging and installation.
MyLens –
I am a photographer and edit many photos. I had high hopes for this monitor. However, I prefer the colors and quality of my 2017 Macbook Pro and use that 16″ screen instead of this larger monitor screen.

Product not as described by Best Buy.
Best Buy’s description is that it has 4 usb type C port. It has none. So after ordering and shipping, it is a different product and less useful for anyone expecting to use usb type C devices with it.
Zebbie101 –
Outstanding detail and color and very good value for the level of quality.

GREAT MONITOR, COLORS ON SCREEN IS AMAZING AND CRISP!
HappyHomeOwner –
Using as a second monitor…it was easy to set up and connect. The size and clarity are both great!

I never would have expected a monitor with this quality would be available for so much less than even higher end models. Very clean design and practical design. Adjustment controls on the front and numerous connection options on the back including a VGA port, HDMI port, and DVI. Absolutely worth the price if you’re on a budget, perfect for everyday office work.
MikeK –
Excellent monitor, especially for a dual monitor system. Clear text and great for work.
JeanB –
This monitor is so much easier to see than my last monitor. I’m very happy with it.
JanineG –
Affordable and compatible with our new mac mini. The resolution is good, not 4k, but pretty good.
DucNG –
The color is just so good. I really like the design of this product but I hope I can afford 4k

I bought this monitor to go with an HP Envy desktop as it appeared to be a better choice than HP monitor after reading reviews. Glad I made this choice, as set up was simple with HDMI connection, and display quality is terrific.
RabbitFu –
I have owned two of these monitors now, for about six months, and cannot unfortunately recommend them unless you get an extended warranty that is NOT fulfilled by ASUS. (I.E. repair or replace that does not involve ASUS support at all)
The visual quality of the monitor is absolutely outstanding, especially for the price. However, my monitor had a manufacturing defect that required me to reach out to ASUS for repair or replacement…..which was a nightmare.
The front panel power button failed after just a few months on one of the monitors, and started to trigger the settings key next to it. (likely the plastic piece behind the button or the board it connects to had failed) Not a catastrophic failure, so the replacement piece was likely cheap and fairly easy to fix. (Or so I had hoped)
However, the hard part was actually getting ASUS to respond and/or honor their Warranty. I tried for DAYS, to no avail….Constantly getting a “try again later, we are busy” message for ASUS web chat, the phone call repeatedly being dropped halfway through the automated support, and more.
So, I took it to Bestbuy geeksquad, at the store of original purchase, and they assured me they would be able to send it off to the manufacturer for me…(I.E. act as the middle-man in getting ASUS to honor their one year warranty) However, during the repair-order creation process they realized that ASUS only honors warranty repairs if performed by the individual, and that the system would literally not allow the store itself to assist me. (I.E. I was on my own)
My synopsis? Yes you get an ASUS warranty, but they go out of their way to make it as difficult as possible to dissuade warranty repairs or replacements. (Which is very disappointing)
A week later, I gave up and dropped some money on repairs for a monitor that is only a handful of months old. The kicker? The repair person informed me it was indeed a manufacturers defect, as the amount of solder used to support the buttons varied wildly. (Some buttons has proper amount, and the buttons that broke? Barely any at all – I.E. hanging on by a thread)
TLDR: Great Monitor, terrible ASUS support. Unless you get a warranty that allows you to repair or replace directly through the store (cutting ASUS support out entirely), I would NOT recommend.
Honestly, I might stop going ASUS for all products going forward. I don’t expect too many hardware faults or failures, but when it does happen..I expect the company to be there to support the product they sold me.

ASUS makes very high-quality displays. This particular model is crystal clear, bright, has no bleed, and is just a pleasure to use. Highly recommended.

Added to my PC purchase to make the switch to digital photography

Literature claimed product has USB-c port but it did not.
WilliamD –
It’s the best monitor I’ve ever had. The colors are true, and the extra height from the 16:10 ratio (vs 16:9) is advantageous when working with a document, spreadsheet, or photo. The low-blue light feature make it easy on the eyes too. I don’t use the built-in speakers so I can’t comment on them.
coffeeguy –
I bought this based on a Wirecutter review, and have not been disappointed. It’s not 4K, and my first preference would have been to buy 4K, but, honestly, this monitor is pretty sharp and bright and responsive with rich colors. The stand is pretty good and adjustable.
I’m using this monitor with a Mac Mini and it seems like a perfect match.
I have no desire to upgrade and move to 4K. I’ve been perfectly satisfied.
This is a 24-inch. Normally, I’ve used 27″ but noticed that I never really used all the screen real estate. This size is perfect for side-by-side document display, which is what I use the most. Highly recommend it.
stillmc –
It’s not easy to find 16:10 monitors as most are 16:9, but this is a great offering from ASUS. The difference in ratio makes a considerable difference when working on documents, especially spreadsheets. The colors are sufficient and the sound is very good. I use these in a dual display setup and find them to be perfect for my needs.
RichardC –
A bit larger than I needed but otherwise a huge improvement over the obsolete 15″ laptop it replaced. I especially like the split screen capability.
