    I experienced issues with two of these monitors. The first one has a defective “Menu” toggle switch. In addition, the ASUS tape seal was broken on the box
    upon delivery. Easily to use if the function worked properly.

    The exchange was also defective as well. The ASUS box was severely wet at the upper right hand corner. The right channel was lower than that of the left channel. Thereby, causing an unbalanced audio effect.

    This monitor is a great pickup for anyone looking for a cheap 4k monitor. The only con is if you are looking for gaming and want a high refresh rate, this will not be the one for you. I have a 3080 and can play most games at 60 fps without issue. I do have to drop quality from Ultra or Extreme to High, but even at High the graphics look amazing and the game is smooth. My main gaming monitor is a 32″ 2k 165 Hz.

    I replaced a 24″ Asus HD 144Hz monitor which was used as a second monitor and am super happy with this purchase. The colors are amazing, the extra desktop space that I got from going from a 1080p monitor to a 4K is a huge help, and overall happy with the monitor.

    I bought 2 of these monitors to go along with my new desktop computer in my home office. Previously, I had a single 24″ monitor. These new ASUS monitors are wonderful and I feel are an excellent value. I looked for monitors at Costco, but they had nothing like these babies.

    My computer guy recommended I get either HD (1080p) or 4K and to stay away from 2K. I didn’t want to spend over $500 each and the TUF 28″ monitor was well below that at $350. Most of the other 4K monitors were pretty pricey.

    Regarding the monitor itself, the picture is great! The stand is phenomenal as it is very solid and super adjustable. You can raise/lower the screen with ease. It also tilts. And you can turn it 90 degrees if desired. It’s very fluid and easy to get right where you want it. And it stays in place. It also has a cabling bracket on the back that opens and closes easily (with a simple push) to rout the cables. They’ve really thought of everything.

    I am extremely pleased with my purchase and I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. Yes, that’s how good they are.

    This is a great 4K monitor for the price. The screen color and quality is bright, sharp, and vibrant. At 80% brightness and contrast, Athe screen is even brighter and sharper than my QHD gaming monitor at the same level. There are also no dead pixels or backlight bleeding which is amazing. I haven’t tried out any games on it yet so I can’t say anything as to the 60Hz refresh rate, however for daily work, media consumption, and web browsing, this monitor is a great value and amazing to use. I highly recommend it for an entry level 4K monitor.

    It’s a good screen. Resolution is superb. The sound on it is a a little dull. My old asus 248 has better sound but it’s not a biggie if you use headphones.

    Been using this daily for the last 3 months. It’s has been great with no issues. Good price point. I prefer the slightly larger 28 inch comparing to the normal 27 inch from the other brands. It does need a little calibration to get the color that I wanted. Once calibrated, color looks great.

    Fantastic monitors for a great price, plus it comes with this weird MOBA display setting with makes everything black and white with the exception for a few colors like red and green. It makes some games look really cool like the arkham games

    The worst customer service (ASUS) and the worst monitor. Do NOT buy this product!
    Earlier this year I bought an ASUS monitor (VG289Q1A) from “B&H” store. After a few days my monitor started flickering. I’m an IT professional so I did some troubleshooting myself then called ASUS who blamed the PC. After some more troubleshooting I was convinced the problem is with the monitor but ASUS did not want to refund the money, did not want to send me a replacement within a reasonable timeframe and said I have to ship it out to CA so they can fix it. I waited a couple of weeks and after 2 days of getting the “fixed” monitor it was flickering again and I realized the audio stopped working. More calls to ASUS support resulted in more frustration, no refund and a defective monitor.
    From February until now ASUS was not able to amend my very poor experience with their product and customer service. Take my advice: don’t buy from ASUS – go to a good company with good customer service and good warranty (like Intel).

    I mainly use my ASUS ROG PG279 1440p monitor. Love the design of it since it‘a design is a balance between gaming and professional. Got this VG289 4K monitor for other types of work. Similar design which I really like and good build quality for the price as well. Really can’t go wrong with the features and value.

    This is an excellent monitor. However, if using HDR all the gaming features and adjustments disappear. Otherwise, it is excellent in terms of picture quality and excels in both general and gaming use.

    Probably one of the best 27-28 inch monitors you can get for the price. The picture quality is great. It doesn’t have features that pricier monitors have such as USB ports and DisplayPort output (for chaining), but I’m using them with my MacBook Pro M1 14″ which does not support chaining anyway, so why overpay. On the negative side (and this is subjective) it comes with a separate power adapter so you can’t use a standard power cord with it.

    This ticked all the boxes for me. I didn’t need high refresh rate, or high-nit HDR. I wanted quality 4K with great color and having any HDR is a bonus. It’s hooked up to my PS5 and PC with an RTX 30 series and I love every minute of it on both. You do you.

    This is my first 4K monitor. I use it now for work and the extra pixels are wonderful. The 28″ size is ideal for normal workplace spaces. 30″ start to look oversized.

    I have used this monitor every day for work and occasional play. The brightness and color looks right but I am no connoisseur. There are many other options for low cost 4K monitors these days. If you need a new monitor don’t hold back on resolution.

    Good monitor if you’re only going to be doing 60hz gaming. One annoying thing is the auto detection for hdmi. It doesn’t read it when first plugging in a new source but after that it usually detects it.

    This monitor is perfect for gaming computers. It’s price is very cheap as compared to other monitors with same specifications. Like you are getting a same monitor for less than $300 what you will get is more than $600. I am happy with my purchase.
    Earlier I thought, I will buy it and see if it works good then I will keep it or else will return this, but I was wrong. I consider it my best purchase for my PC, that too within the budget.

    This is a great monitor, as are all the Asus products I’ve used and continue to use. There are many options to optimize your screen for whatever application you are using it for, and great features for gaming like the aiming dots you can overlay on the screen. This model only hits 60 FPS, but with a 4090 putting out around 200 fps for the games I’ve been playing, there is very little screen tearing that I don’t even notice while playing. Overall a great monitor for the price, and Asus doing what they do best.
