The Surfboard SB6190 was very easy to install. I just had to connect the coax cable to it, an ethernet cable to it and the router, and provide the cable company the MAC and serial number. It is not compatible with Internet plans with panoramic wifi.

I currently use the Arris- Surfboard at my restaurant and have had no problems. Tech from the internet company installed it without any issues. I was able to login and setup the passwords and have quick and easy access to the Internet.

I had this modem before for a few years, but I dropped it twice and the heat sink came lose. I probably could have fixed it, but decided to buy another cable modem. After looking, I went with the same modem as it does what it says and I need, I am pleased with it and the price was good.

Purchase this whenever I wanted to get rid of Internet providers modem with their telephone service. Only issue is I had to contact the internet provider for them to ping the signal to this new modem. Had maybe two issues where I had to do a hard reset in the past couple years. Overall I think it’s a good modem
