    For the love of your sanity, do NOT follow the directions to set this up. After plugging everything in, do NOT download the yellow ARRIS app. It doesn’t work. You have to download the blue SURFboard Central app. It took me hours to figure this out. Once I got it installed correctly, it works fine.

    I was a little cautious in buying this as a replacement for our Motorola router / modem. But after purchasing and having it connected to the Optimum network I have had no issues. Signal has been great throughout the house along with some wired connections tied into a switch getting approximately 420 plus mbps on a 400 mbps package.

    I like the Arris moden router 3.1. Easy to disconnect my old one and connect this one. Called Cox to “activate” and it was done. Have had it about 3 to 4 weeks. Good so far.

    This is a good product but I cannot give it 5 stars because of the wifi. It seems that the connections are not as strong as my netgear router. I had to buy an extenter in order for the signal to reach though out my home.

    I purchased what I thought was the model pictured,
    A Best Buy phone rep suggested it and I went and picked it up. I tried for 6 days to hook it up, but it wasn’t working. A friend stopped by and asked, “Where’s your router?”
    I showed her my invoice and said that it was a combo. modem and router. Then we looked at the box it came in and saw that it was just a modem, although I paid for the one in the picture. Obviously, I returned it. What a waste of time and energy and no internet or TV!!!

    Says compatible with Xfinity. This NEVER worked. I spemnt a day and the tech from Xfinity spent 3 hours. And now I can’t return?????
