I was very excited for this cabinet as I am a huge MK fan. The cabinet itself is awesome, probably the best Arcade1up has released yet. That said, the screen is terrible and the control latency with every MK is very noticable. It is even worse when playing online, which can make it borderline unplayable at times. While I can live with the bad screen, hopefully Arcade1up fixes the control latency and online problems accordingly through regular updates.

Arcade1up has come a long way since 2018.
The amount of improvements that this itineration of MK has over the original is awesome.
The control panel, height, coin door, marquee, and honoring the original game with the artwork are very cool.
The games list is nice and diverse, I’ll only be playing the MK games and Tapper, but for those looking for variety you have it here.
Cons: minor – button color is wrong for the block and start buttons. Buttons are super easy to replace. Happ/IL buttons can be done with wired that are plug and play with no splicing.
There are many videos on how to do it.
No Johnny Cage art – A1up had nothing to do with this, it’s a licensing issue.
Major – monitor. After having nice 4:3 BOE monitors the last few years, this went back to a TN 5:4 panel.
If you look dead on, most people will not notice.
If you are tall, short, or looking at the screen off angle at all it will wash out. Most people may not care, but if you’re expecting the IPS screen from last years legacy it will not have it.
There are ways to replace it, but many may not be comfortable with doing this.
I cannot comment on the online play yet, I need another Ethernet cable as the WiFi in my basement is spotty so I haven’t played online yet.
I used a 10% coupon on this, and a $450 I’m still happy with the purchase.
If you’re patient, almost all of these eventually go on sale. At $400 to $450 I’d say this is a good deal.

Is a nice looking cab. Bright lit marquee. Has a good assortment of games on it. Joysticks feel good. Buttons are ok. Has online play for over half the games. Online leaderboards for all games. The screen is a little washed out but not a deal breaker. Looking straight on is fine while playing.

It is a great cabinet. Arcade1up got the design down great. Looks great and is online play. Has a lot of great games and it would have got 5 stars but the monitor they used to not good. It is a shame they used this monitor instead of there normal one.

Beautiful arcade cabinet. 14 games with online gameplay. Only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating is the monitor. Previous Arcade1up cabinets used higher quality screens with better viewing angles. This one is just okay. Even so, this is still a really nice cabinet.

Big MK fan…I have the MK cabinet right before this one. I have built about six various arcade cabinets. The one thing I can almost always count on is a defect or two or three in the plastic screen bezel…no different here. I wish arcade 1up did better quality control on the bezel…i went from imperfect (black) backing to receiving two broken bezels and one with a sizeable scratch in the plastic. I gave up on endless warranty replacements and went with the best one out of the four.Yes…the monitor is mediocre with off-angle viewing. The controls are ok. Haven’t tried the network play but looks painful in the online reviews. Anyway, keeping this one for the great cabinet design and this may be my last one for awhile, especially if the monitor doesn’t improve. Im tired of the bad QC.

I love this machine! Critisism regarding the screen is real but I’m not sure what people are expecting for $500.00 shipped. This is an excellent product and an incredible value at $500.00. Has free online play and the additional games are fun too. I play Joust with my wife daily. Full disclosure, I swapped the screen for a better one and made a world of difference. My wife and I love this machine. Great product and great quality for the price. Dont Hesitate!

I’ve owned my MK30th now for over 6 months and can say that the Midway cabinet shape is a great design and hopefully A1up will continue using this shape on all future 3/4 cabinets moving forward. The games list is A+. The online play is really good when I play with someone online. The only reason I rate MK30th at a 4 star rating and not 5 star is the TN monitor that they chose to use. It is washed out and when looking from the left side, the monitor looks horrible. My particular unit has black spots that show up after about 20 minutes of it being on. Mainly only noticeable on Joust and Defender, I have contemplated on swapping the monitor out but not sure if I will end up going that route or just living with it the way it is. All and all it is still a great buy especially if it’s on sale!

Unfortunately my machine came with some tearing on the side of the machine, as well as some screen damage. I should have known because the box was clearly damaged, and this wad probably a return.
