    Reason for the 1 star review is I specifically asked the sales associate if this was compatible with a 2019 MacBook Pro and she said “Yeah, it is”. I didn’t get the sense that it was lack of knowledge but rather hastily wanting to get through with the transaction. Needless to say it is NOT compatible. Really disappointed. I absorbed the cost as a trip back and the wait time to return it was really not worth my time .. should have been done right the first time ..

    Photo is misleading. It is a photo of an lUSBC connection. I asked someone to pick it up for me. Instead it is a connnection for an old style Thunderbolt port which I do not have.

    BEWARE!!! You search for a Thunderbolt 3 cable expecting USB-C ends and this item comes up as an alternative. The product picture shows the ends in an ambiguous view that doesn’t make clear that these are mini-DIsplayport and not USB-C. From the side view, it could easily be confused with USB-C. Shame on the manufacturers for not using clear nomenclature. I merely want to quickly transfer data from my old Mac to my new Mac by plugging into the USB-C ports. Little do I realize that “Thunderbolt” covers a multitude of versions, connectors, etc.!! And for the manufacturer, these are indeed “Thunderbolt” connectors. If this is truly what you need, then it is probably a fine product.

    Bought this for my music room to connect some recording gear. I do prefer Apple cables for critical connections. Yes they are more expensive, but the quality is always very high and the do work. So for me, the value is there to justify the price.

    This cable works great with my Mac Air. The old cable was causing my computer to chirp — I didn’t realize the old cord had ceased working properly and was starting the computer over and over. I thought I was going to have to take my computer in for repair work. Turned out it just needed this cord which seems sturdy and will last a while. So happy.
