I purchased this as a gift for my daughters 16th birthday which was on march 9th. She’s always wanted one, but new ones are very expensive. I purchased this refurbished one hoping that she would love it just the same. And, she does. The Mac book air itself seems to be working good after just a couple of days however, it came with an aftermarket charger that gets VERY VERY hot while charging for only a few minutes. It almost burnt her hand! That’s why it’s only a 3 star rating. I checked, and it’s definitely a bad charger. She just received it on her birthday (9th) and the return policy is 15 days (7th). We’re going to try to exchange the charger tonight to see if that solves the issue. IT’s a refurbished 2017 model yes, it was still $400 something dollars and I feel that it should have an Apple “working” charger, not a fire hazard of an aftermarket charger. Hopefully they will exchange the charger with no issues. I will update my review pending the results of that.

It feels pretty good, but the number 8 keyboard and the number 9 keyboard of this computer don’t work, so I returned it. I hope to ship it next time, and don’t send out unusable computers.

Very disappointed. The Macbook Air comes with a scratch around the apple on the outside lid. I thought they would sell me the equipment in better condition.

Perfect for a first computer. A little tiny ding in cosmetic but something I surely can look past for my teenager for his first computer. It works just as we need it to and I will absolutely be doing the same thing for my daughter. Would recommend especially for kids!

Well, this is one of two of this model I have had to return. It isn’t Best Buy’s fault, this mackbook model is just obsolete, and doesn’t really work anymore. Best Buy was great about the refunds, though- no hassle there!

If I could give Best But a zero I would. Bought a “certified refurbished” MacBook for my son for Christmas. Opened it Christmas morning and upon installing an update (it wasn’t updated when we bought it) it got stuck in a loop. Can’t get passed the failure to update screen.
Brought it back yesterday to have them help us so we could wipe his information and they told us to fix it we had to pay $100.
Horrible policy for a brand new purchase.
