Bought the Airport Time Capsule during a refurbished sale at Bestbuy online. Got it for the wifi only but quickly setup the Time Machine backup on my MBP. It’s been rock solid since the day I installed it. Never had a need to reset the unit. Also the Airport Utility app works great for changing settings such as DNS.

Great refurbished product. However, would have appreciated some instructions in the box. Had to go online to get set up information. That being said, it was easy to set up. Came on line quickly. Upload and download WiFi speeds increased significantly from my previous Linksys router. Very happy. Great savings buying refurbished.

Geek Squad certified refurbished is far different than Apple’s refurbished standards. yes the device works flawlessly. But unfortunately it is scratched up and does not look new. This looks like it was a floor model or it was rolling around somewhere… How do you scratch up your router? So weird…. Most people don’t move around them much, so I am baffled how it got so dirty and scratched up. But I can handle a scratched up dirty router because most most of the time I am not holding it… And the price was significantly less… I just wished they were more honest about what it is, and not calling it refurbished… Maybe a better description would be: Works Great, Still has limited warranty, but it is used.

I’ve only delt with Apple routers at home for the past few years but this was a decent upgrade and transferring over from an older express was amazingly simple. I’d recommend it for people who don’t know much about networking or people who don’t want to be bothered with a bunch of setup.

The airport time capsule does not reach a great distance, after you get outside a 20-25 ft radius the signal really drops. When I am inside the radius then my speeds are great. I feel like it should extend further. I will just have to get more airport express’s.

Purchased refurbished, and I couldn’t tell the difference from new cosmetically. Really simple set up with Time Machine, and backs up reliably. The surprise was how much faster this is as a router than the Surfboard combo I was using.

Easy setup. No instructions provided but found on Apple site. Has improved my network speed more than 3 times and to have a 2 tb wireless hard drive is a plus. Very dependable.

Product was refurbished . Had Issues ,called Apple , they ran me through a chain of understanding the problem . Could it be fixed…They determined in fact that it was defective and could not be fixed.. Returned it to my local store. They were really nice about it. I have bought several things like this,.That were Open Box or refurbished …this is the first one that did not work. I will continue to buy refurbished products.

I bought the Apple Airport Time Capsule as a gift for a family member that has two iPhones and three iPads, with thousands of pictures to backup. The reviews said that it was easy to set up the Time Capsule and then it would automatically backup all of your files daily. After downloading the Airport Utility App we tried to set up each of the devices. The Time Capsule does not even recognize any of the devices. Now I have learned that Apple has discontinued the Airport.

I needed a storage solution for my home and with 2TB’s of space and the ability to expand my wifi this was a no brainer. I have a mac ecosystem so set up was a breeze. Works well as a router and as a back up solution. I got the geek squad refurbished unit it was a bit dirty and it looked like the previous owner had some stickers on it as there was adhesive gunk on the casing. Over all great product I would recommend.

Skeptical at first but after researching we decided this would be worth our investment, Best Buy offered a refurbished unit at a good price with a warranty. It’s very easy to set up, use and blends in with our decor.
With the internal memory and ability to back up our other Apple products made this investment a home run.

This product was easy to set up and great but at the 1 year point, it’s started to fail. I’ve had an Apple airport previously for 7 years and never had issues so I assume that the issue is with the refurbished process that Best Buy has. Also, the product was slightly dirty when I received it from Best Buy. I would never purchase a refurb unit from Best Buy again.

This was a replacement, my previous one lasted 5 years and was easy to set up. This one was easily setup with regard to WiFi, but I could never get the hard drive portion to function to back up the system. No idea why this unit was originally returned but it wasn’t fixed despite being certified refurbished. I returned the unit and won’t do that again.

I was hesitant to buy a refurbished device after reading very few negative reviews but I took a chance and boy am I pleased. The unit itself was in very good condition, hooked it up it was already configured so I reset it back to factory defaults and the setup was really easy. I’ve been buying Apple products for the last 2 years and I now know why people love Apple so much, I’m a new fan and I’ve completely switched from the MS world to Mac World.
