JaysonT –
Bought this for my gaming pc. Works really well and installation was super easy. I think the 5800x3d would probably be the better choice for gaming though.
RafaelB –
Great CPU! Immediately felt a difference on the games I played after upgrading from the 3600
JessH –
Great sale on a CPU that met my needs when it came to upgrading my rig.
FTLAK –
well i have an old motherboard and this is the second to the highest chip. I am allowed to put in it. I was worried that I would need to max out my ram, or do something else to make sure that it ran properly, but from the moment I put it in it has run perfectly fine. I am giving it good value because I got this on sale. I still think most of these are overpriced and stay too high priced for too long. But this one was definitely decent on sale.
Micolangello –
I mix between gaming and productivity and I lived from a 5600x to this 5900x. Productivity is amazing. Perhaps I should have done a 5800x3D but this works.

Went from a 3700 to this and can instantly tell the difference when it comes to gaming/multitasking. Would recommend getting a AIO or upgraded Fan cooler. The wraith cooler would have it wround 80c while gaming. After the msi 240r aio it now around 64c. Maybe even getting a 320 would of been the better route. After some googling seems a average temps are 70-80c while running. For 300$ well worth it if you’re on ryzen 3 or older

Really good CPU, Just recreantly purchased this during cyber Monday. Upgraded from a 3700x. And i can tell the difference immediately. This CPU does gaming, Auto Cad, And 3-D rendering really well. It also handles my 7800xt extremally well as well. All in all get this CPU while it is 50% off!!!!!

No issues whatsoever got the product and store was very cheap and affordable not to mention the staff were amazing at their recommendations couldn’t recommend going to this location and getting any PC part you can possibly need the part itself is extremely well done 12 cores makes my PC run like nothing else not to mention how affordable it is would recommend 10 out of 10

Andrew –
Good speed for the price. Have had any issues. Price match was nice as well
Japaeks –
This was a heck of an uograde from my 2700x. I can rell a vast improvement. I rushed to put this things in without researching my BIOS version compatibility with this chip. I could not boot into the BIOS at all after installing. Switched back to my old chip, updated the BIOS, and put the 5900x back in. Smooth sailing since.
GabrielD –
What I can say the best cpu I bought so far I like it and I would recommend it
Jose –
Productivity and gaming performance are still really high even compared to the newer generation, so if you are still on an AM4 socket and want more cores I would go with this as long as it stays at its current price.
AdamK –
Really nice upgrade for my previous Ryzen. Much faster than 8 core
DaleM –

SteveE –
Absolute beast of a CPU.If you are on AM4 and need a CPU that can do it all,This one does wonders.
GamertagKrazyFan5 –
Just finished building my pc from scratch. Looked up reviews on this cpu and couldn’t pass up the pricing on Black Friday. The cpu is running the pc so smooth. High recommended pairing it with a 4070ti or 4080 gpu with a 1440p monitor. Good luck to pc building ventures!
SamanthaN –
Great product easy to install. Have had no issues so far.

Temosteve –
I’ve been wanting to upgrade from my 2700x but wasn’t too sure what to get and I was watching videos about the 5900x and saw it can handle gaming and also video editing and so far no regrets! It can definitely handle everything I throw at it and it also gave me a higher fps boost while gaming.
Pesto –
Easy to install, definitely a good choice for an upgrade
Jacob –
This is the peak AM4 socket AMD CPU you can possibly get and it reflects. It is fast, it is smooth. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the upgrade from the Ryzen 7 2700X CPU I had before.
Thom –
When i built my pc 3 years ago, i got an x570 chipset knowing i would eventually upgrade from my 3600 to a 5000 series. Finally did so and the performance improvements were drastic. Good processor for multiple tasks. Video and audio encoding is very quick, and can also play games with no worries. Temperatures could be worrying at first glance , but if you look at AMD’s spec information, this generation of ryzen all run hotter than most cpu’s, and are designed to handle it. Just make sure you have a good heatsink and know how to properly install it.
StevenK –
Im still using it. Still a great processor and its never wrong to go with the Zen architecture. Great purchase
Warsyndicate –
Replaced 3900x easy swap no reinstall of windows needed. Just make sure bios of board is updated. Running a 3080 12gb noticed about 10-20% fps boost in mw3 on ultimate settings on 1440p g8oled Samsung running total of 4 monitors.
Bond –
It was very fast and handled my games very well, it was a lityle too hot
VincentS –
the perfec cpu made a big differance with microsoft flight sim
Joey –
no complaints yet have had it about a year runs most games without any issues, have a 3080 and play mostly rist and have seen a huge frame increase since using a 3700x.
Kelvin –
I got this when it was on sale for $249.99 at Best Buy. It was definitely a steal when compared to its original retail price. I paired this with my new RTX 4060 and it works amazingly. The performance that this chip brings to my hardware goes beyond my expectations. I am able to process and render videos way faster than I previously was able to. My graphics card doesn’t bottleneck. I get 200+ frames per second on great graphics settings on COD Warzone. Without this chip, my graphics card wouldn’t be able to reach its full and greatest capacity. I would recommend this chip!
EvanC –
My go to CPU. Great quality, speeds, and overall just a good cpu. I have ran into zero issues with it and would highly recommend to anyone trying to build a mid-high tier computer
user473979 –
Excellent CPU, several times faster than the one I had before. Surprisingly, doesn’t have much more power draw than other Ryzen CPUs, so I could just swap it out without changing anything else about my build.
Unknown –
Had this put in by Geek Squad and it works perfectly.
BlakeB –
Great CPU, very good productivity option for those still on the AM4 platform.
